Flat Earth Q&A / I tried the step off your chair experiment
« on: December 11, 2009, 05:53:55 PM »
So I tried Toms experiment and I stepped off my chair while watching the ground. When I did this it did appear that the ground may be moving towards me. However it was not conclusive. I still felt like I was moving towards the ground a little. If I had done only this one step I would lean towards the Earth accelerating towards me, but I decided to try a couple of different approaches. I then decided to look up when I stepped off the chair. When I did this it was clear that is was I that was moving towards the ground and not the ground towards me.

I still didn?t feel comfortable with my results because the first experiment had me leaning towards the ground moving. So I threw a ball in the air as I watched it come towards me it was very clear that the ball was moving and towards me, and that I was not moving towards it.

After doing this I then decided that the Earth must not be accelerating up as this is not what I observed.

Flat Earth General / LCROSS booster rocket to crash into moon
« on: October 08, 2009, 10:54:24 AM »
Friday Morning we are going to crash the LCROSS booster rocket into the moon.  Four minutes later the LCROSS mother ship will impact. This can be observed by amateur astronomers all over the United States. If space flight is impossible then what is happening? Do you think it is something else? If so what? Maybe an asteroid? I will be at the Planetarium in Chicago watching the impact live I will let you know what I observe and what I think happened. I have a few friends that are amateur astronomers that will also be watching with their own equipment so I will let you know what they observe.

Flat Earth Debate / Question about the sun
« on: June 01, 2009, 02:43:13 PM »
So from what I understand FET says the sun is a spotlight. I was looking at the the Sun set the other day and noticed it looked round. Now the sun was not directly over head and was about to set. How could this be if it were a spotlight? I could still see just a little sky between the ground and the sun. It the sun were a spotlight it would have had to turn to face me in order to still appear round.
