my question is:

can somebody show me how the dates and times of the solar eclipse can be calculated based on a flat earth model.

Flat Earth Q&A / SunSet and SunRise question
« on: June 13, 2017, 01:16:14 PM »
i still can not find a solution for this FE problem:

Flat Earth Sunset - 'perspective'

my question to the Flat Earth Idea Believers is:
the observer looks in reality directly to the west to see the sun set. he can also verify the direction view maps.

according to the Flat Earth Map he should be looking in a more north west direction to see the sun set.

how do you FEIB explain this? it is clearly visible that the Flat Earth Idea does not match the reality.

maybe somebody like to discuss this, therefore here the tread for the discussion:

Flat Earth Q&A / can a Flat Earth Believer explain this?
« on: March 28, 2017, 09:04:40 AM »
here is a video from a Flat Earth Idea Believer

why does it show the phase of moon in the height of the sun and moon, not from the surface of the earth?

look at time 2:09 (Day 15 at lunar cycle):

the northern region is shown as a new moon
the southern region is shown as a full moon
and for both regions the moon is at day in the sky near the sun.

how does that fit to the reality?

Flat Earth Debate / Video of a Flat Earth simulation proves that a flat earth is not possible.
« on: March 25, 2017, 09:58:13 AM »
Thanks to physical observer who gave my this link to a video we can clearly see that a flat earth is not possible.

if you look closely how the star movements are according to this simulation for the souther hemisphere.
compare that with the reality and we can clearly see that the simulation does not match the reality.

Therefor the Flat Earth Idea is disproven.

can please the administrator get the member "arbeiter" to delete his avatar picture because it supports a illegal highly racial movement.

it should here about arguing flat earth, and not supporting racist views.

i hope there will be more people support my post here to get that kind of people out here.

Thanks

Suggestions & Concerns / Why get posts removed.
« on: March 04, 2017, 02:03:25 PM »
I like to ask why did my post got removed from a thread?

Maybe it shows the way how FEIB handle posted they do not like.

1. What happens when you sail to the edge? do you fall?

I don't believe there is an edge.

2. Why has nobody sailed to the edge if the earth is really flat?

I don't believe there is an edge.

3. right now it's 11:23pm (dark outside) for me in Florida but for someone in Canberra, Australia it's 3:23pm which is still light outside but if the earth was flat wouldn't everybody have day at the same exact time and night at the same exact time since there is no curve to the earth?

You are making assumptions using a RE model, there are many FE models that can explain this, it's not a strong point.

4. if you look at any other celestial body (the sun, moon, other planets) they are all round why would the earth be the only other flat thing in space?

For the same reason if you look at any other animal, they are not sentient, if they aren't sentient why would you assume we are?

5. if you think space isn't real or something like that where do all these space ships and rockets go? how come nobody sees where they go surely you wouldn't miss a light that big in the sky or the sound it makes...

Antarctica.

Cause Antarctica.

1. That's correct
2. That's correct
3. The question is based on something that can be observed and is not based on the assumption of the shape of the earth. And further please note which explanation from the flat earthers is proven to be tested to be true?
4. As we all know that animal are sentient, you proven you are wrong.
5. Provide evidence for this claim.

Flat Earth General / try to understand the explanations of the Flat Earth Idea Believers (FEIB)
« on: March 03, 2017, 04:51:34 AM »

i try for some time to understand how people can believe in a flat earth.

If the earth would be flat, should there not be an conclusive explanation for all phenomenons?
But if there is a question here how certain thinks work on a flat earth the FEIB come up with some kind of explanation.
This explanation does not fit for a different question, instead the FEIBs come up with a different explanation that even often does not work with other explanations.

How can it be that FEIB do not see these problems?

Flat Earth Debate / Distances on Flat Earth Map
« on: February 17, 2017, 04:50:41 AM »
my questions are:

1. why is the flight time between Sydney Australia and Johannesburg South Africa 14h
and the fligh time between Sydney Australia and Frankfuth Germany 22h

2. if you look at the distances in Australia: why is on the Flat Earth map the distances in direction east- west way bigger than in north south.

Flat Earth Debate / Denpressure and tides 2nd
« on: January 29, 2017, 11:35:54 AM »
Hello,

Because of that non F. E. B.  shall not answer the other thread,  I open here my own and also ask a question about that topic.

How does this Denpressure work? How does it only act vertical and not like normal pressure in all directions?

In the other thread it is explained that the sun produces an expansion in the Atmosphere and therefore the pressure on the water below is lower. Does that mean that Denpressure works the opposite way than normal pressure, if something expands than the pressure rises, see boiler.

And,  if the Denpressure change is caused by the sun, why are the tides are not in phase with the sun?

I like to get answers for this.

Flat Earth Q&A / What religion do F. E. B. have
« on: January 22, 2017, 03:11:29 PM »
Hello,

I like to ask all Flat Earth Beliveau ask wich religion they belong to.

Are there Christians, jews, Hindus, Buddhist or Islamic people here?
And are there any F. E. B.  without any religion (atheist) here?

It's only that I am curriest with what background F. E. B.  start.

Hello,
Are there any flat earth scientist who have published their research. And did other researcher confirm these findings.
Where would I be able to find these reports.

Flat Earth Q&A / distance to the sun
« on: January 20, 2017, 08:52:42 AM »
Hello,

i like to ask what is the distance to the sun?

according to F.E.B. the sun is at the Dome attached and the dome is appr. 75 miles high.

i looked up the view-angle to the sun:
in the summer its appr. 72 deg and in the winter 25 deg. (to the horizontal at my location)

with the tan-function i calculated that the horizontal distance to the sun is:

in the summer 25 miles
and in the winter 160 miles

does that mean that if i travel in the summer 25 miles further south that the sun would be right on top of me?
and in the winter i have to travel 160 miles?

can somebody give an explanation for that.

Greetings
Ray
