Flat Earth Debate / Private enterprise entering space
« on: August 11, 2007, 08:33:36 AM »
http://www.galacticsuiteprocess.com/news/?p=501

By 2012, this company (based in Barcelona), intends to have a hotel operating in space. Private businesses have clearly reached the point where they can expand above the earths atmosphere. I ask you this--how can the conspiracy be so expansive as to bribe private businesses and the multi-millionares who will use these facilities?

Flat Earth Debate / Earthquakes
« on: August 07, 2007, 05:21:11 PM »
Due to the nature of P waves and S waves in earthquakes, scientests are able to determine the likely structure of the core of the earth and the mantle. It also provides interesting results that cannot possibly be explained by FE theory:

That picture represents the pattern of waves in a large earthquake. To read up on P waves and S waves and K waves and all sorts of wave-stuff regarding the earth's core etc, please read this article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seismic_waves#Body_waves

I await any FE explanation as to the explanation of this phenomena.

Flat Earth Debate / Saturn's Rings...
« on: July 20, 2007, 01:49:01 PM »
Using a conventional, backyard, ground based telescope, it is very possible to see saturn's rings.

(taken with a Meade 2080 telescope, which is commercial grade. If you don't believe any of these pictures, go get a telescope, go in your backyard, and find saturn yourself. )

Given this, I want you to look very closely at the rings on the above image. Note how they lean (downward to the left).

As you can see, in each of these images taken with COMMERCIAL telescopes (no room for conspiracy), the angle of saturn's rings differs. But MORE IMPORTANTLY--so too does the point where the rings pass beyond the circular face of saturn. This means that saturn is (at the least) three dimensional, with its rings passing beyond the visible face.

To prove that saturn is spherical is just another step. Look at these images, please.

(taken with a Meade LX200)

Do you see anything? Aside from the obvious tilting of the ring, we also notice the fact that the colored lines on saturn herself in EACH PICTURE that they can be seen in, bend IN CONCENTRIC CIRCLES with the rings. This means that those rings share the same plane as Saturn. Since we know obviously that the rings occur in a seperate plane than the planet, we now find that the planet must too conform to the secondary plane, making it three dimensional. Since we can see different angles of the planet, as proved by noting the angles of the rings, we can now determine that saturn is, in fact, spherical.

Now, comes the tricky part: If saturn is spherical, why does thie earth have to be spherical? Here is your answer:

We see that Saturn's angle changes in each picture. This means that a force is causing saturn to be unbalanced or for the viewer to become unbalanced. If the viewer is unbalanced and the plane of refference changed, this is explained easily in RE as the rotation of the earth, the position of the earth in its orbit around the sun, and the position of saturn in its orbit around the sun. However, FE runs into a problem. The only force that could cause the upset of a celestial or terran body in such a matter in the FE universe is the universal accelerator. However, we know that per the FE model the accelerator is always pushing up EQUALLY on all free-floating objects in the universe. For Saturn to behave that way, one can only assume that the nature of the accelerator is erratic, as the upward force would otherwise cancel itself out. HOWEVER, if the accelerator is erratic, as I have proved in a previous thread, the earth's varied mass distribution would cause very noticeable vibrations and even earthquakes each time the earth switches its wobble. Furthermore, all our seismographs, nuclear weapons testing detectors, and laser based detectors would exhibit obvious reactions on regular, repeated patterns, as the "wobbling" of the earth would be the reason for the varied "light-dark" days in the extreme polar regions. Such a model has even been used to explain tides, which further speaks to its regularity. HOWEVER, such constant movements ARE NOT detected by our seismographs and our various sensors around the world--quite the opposite, earthquakes are erratic and unpredictable.

Flat Earth Debate / Question regarding Universal Acceleration
« on: July 18, 2007, 07:26:16 AM »
This may seem stupid, but for the record, the earth is always accelerating upward at the constant rate of 9.81 m/s^2, correct?

PS, I am aware of the thread that is pinned, just humore me and answer me right here in this thread, k? You shall see why...  :)

Flat Earth Debate / A candid and legitimate question to FE'ers

What exactly about the flat earth theory makes you personally believe it? And what about RE is too abstract for you to accept?

Flat Earth Debate / Sunsets
« on: July 12, 2007, 11:50:54 AM »
A sunset is caused by the angle of refraction of light (or the incident ray) from the sun hitting the atmosphere at a rapidly increasing angle until it reaches 180 degrees and the sun sets. This is because the speed of light changes as it enters the medium of air from the vacuum of space, thus altering the other properties of light accordingly based on Snell's Law:   n1 sin(theta1) = n2 sin(theta2), also interpretted as sin(theta1)/sin(theta2)= v1/v2 = n1/n2. Thus, the light's color shifts as it enters the colloidal atmosphere above the earth. It is easy to see that at different lines of longitude at the same time the intensity and color of light from the sun differ tremendously (you can set up your own live camera network if you are so inclined). If the earth is NOT curved and spherical, how does the color of light change and the angle of the sun approach 180 degrees if it, per your argument, "circles" above the earth as shown in this picture from previous arguments?

AIt is a well known and recorded fact that the further you depart from the equator of the earth, the length of the day varies depending on the season more drastically than at lower latitudes. In fact, in many parts of northern alaska, greenland, and russia,  there is no sunlight for weeks at a time at points. This is because as an object rotates, the edges move faster than the inside. Since these extreme fringes are closer to the axis of rotation (the north and south poles), they rotate at an extremely slow pace, thus causing the skewed day length. Furthermore, because of the position at the pinnacle of a curved surface, the light of the sun cannot always reach the poles because of the angle of the earths curvature. If the earth does not rotate and its surface is not curved, how do the length of the days vary with latitudinal position?

PS--I've experianced the length of the day change based on latitude personnally, so don't try to deny it exists. And government conspiracy answers aren't sufficient, because this has been going on since before governments could conspiratize.
