Wikipedia knows nothing. It is a torture.

Care to elaborate?

Christmas is awful as well. For the same reason. When you do not think that Christmas is awful you would not understand why Ramadan is awful.

2
I've just skimmed the Wikipedia article on Ramadan. I've got say I don't see anything all that objectionable in it. The fasting part seems maybe a little silly at worst.

Wikipedia knows nothing. It is a torture.

But the fasting part can be easily reduced by sleeping during the day and waking up at dinner time. Then you can eat until breakfast and then you go to sleep again. Isn't that logical?

3
Actually not random Muslims. There are 3 Muslims on this site, all of them complete idiots. This thread was to offend them. Nobody else.

I did not expect a Spanish Inquis....
Then do something to target them as individuals rather than an entire religion of people, good and bad. I mean come on. One of them's Wise. Is posting a few images of Muhammad really the best you've got when it comes to him?

The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend.
https://thesatanictemple.com/pages/tenets

They did the first strike. They started spitting out Ramadan threads. Ramadan is awful. When ever somebody dares to open a thread declaring a Fast for Allah Month in my vicinity I will declare a Mock the Prophet Month until Ramadan is utterly destroyed.

4
When it starts excluding said moderates and ex muslims and silencing all criticism of the religion it's bad, but I think that's mostly a UK twitter thing.

In a number of European countries people have been charged with incitement for calling Muhammad a pedophile.

5
Offending Muslims, not random religious people.

Random muslims. Who have nothing to do with whatever is happening in your country.

Actually not random Muslims. There are 3 Muslims on this site, all of them complete idiots. This thread was to offend them. Nobody else.

6
BTW about 3 years ago I could have gotten jailed for doing what you did but with Jesus instead. I know because someone did get convicted for 10 months in jail with parole for mocking a "saint" on Facebook just 5 years ago. Religious people can be shitty but I'm not sure what point you're making by offending random religious people on the FES.

Offending Muslims, not random religious people. As reaction of all those emetic "Happy Ramadan!" and "Months of Allah" threads here. There is no other point here.

7
Western progressives are reluctant to see Islam as big of a threat as Christian Evangelicals, because you do not want to seem racist.
It's not because we don't want to seem racist, it's because there is a significant part of the population here who'd like to see them all die, and I'm not gonna play into that. Things have gotten a lot worse than before, after people got convinced the zombie hordes from the Middle East are coming to destroy western civilization. Do you know how many people here were praising the Christchurch shooting?

I see. I live among my zombie hordes, you live among your zombie hordes. Your zombie hordes fear that my zombie hordes take over their country, while they have already taken over my country.

8
Υou're seriously acting weird, I'm not sure what you think you're achieving by this... Well done, you're offending a religion on the Flat Earth Society, brilliant. Not sure what you think you're achieving, beyond pissing off someone like Intikam or something. You're kind of acting like a 13 year old kid who just became an atheist.

Obviously it is a desperate attempt to get back on Intikam's ignore list.

Western progressives are reluctant to see Islam as big of a threat as Christian Evangelicals, because you do not want to seem racist. Maybe Islam has inherently a broader spectrum, but it has become little more than a totalitarian, anti-modernist ideology, at least in Asian countries. People seem like normal in everyday life, but ask them if it is right to execute apostates or if atheism should be punished. Or convince them that their religion is "threatened" or "attacked", you get really frightening responses.

9
It might have something to do with being from a country that punishes you with death for being an atheist.

It is not that bad yet. But you can be jailed for drawing Muhammad. Or saying "there is no God" on Facebook.

10
I am not anti-semite, nor anti-muslim, nor anti-any religion.  Why are you doing this?

Who was that Jewish guy you always harassed with fake Talmud quotes from right wing sources approving of child rape?

11
Because you are purposely trying to offend a religion?  I am not a muslim.  I am an atheist.  However, what you are posting is meant for no other reason than to offend people's religious beliefs.  I am very tempted to move this to quarantine.

You do not have to live in a country where you hear this shit every day. And when Ramadan comes they collectively turn into religious zombies for a whole month.

Aren't you an antisemite?

12

I don't get it. Why are hoppy and jroa offended?

13
It's in PR&S. Happy now?

No, I can't rant angrily any more.

14
Either AR or Pr&s. Tough call actually. It would depend on the tone of the discussion.

If it's a well thought out criticism of Scientology, definitely Pr&s.

If it were just a bunch of mocking memes then probably AR.

I'll tell you what I'll do though. I'll bring it up to the other mods and see what they think.

You people are not even aware that I risk my life by opposing the brain decease that has befallen my country.  :(

15
I would. It is the lounge and that's supposed to be a friendly place. I'm open to the argument that Pr&s would be a more appropriate subforum though.

Where would you have moved it, when it would be Scientology?

16
I am completely behind the freedom to mock a religion.  However I feel this topic is inappropriate to the lounge and am therefore moving it to AR.

Fair enough.

But would you have done the same if I would have mocked, say, Scientology?

17

Guess I could get jailed for this one:

This is the only Muhammad is fucking a pig cartoon I could find on the internet. The censorship must end.

<save it for pornhub>

There are more the other way round.

<save it for pornhub>

Not one Muhammad fucks Jesus cartoon, just the two smoking a joint after.

Who the hell is Gary Barlow?

No Mock the Prophet day without his favorite wife:

Take it easy, Intikam!

Obama's crimes: Wore a tan suit, the latte salute, terrorist fist jab, Dijon mustard on a burger, playing golf, Hussein is right there in his name.

Were there more? I don't remember.

"Governing while black" is not enough?

There is only one logical argument that disproves God. It is the constitutional argument.

1. All things are  born equal, meaning there are no higher and lower things.

2. God is supposed to be the highest thing.

3. There is no highest thing according to premise 1. Therefore God does not exist.

The fairy in my garden taught me that.

But people might accept something like "Dilish" as a second language instead of having to learn up to 6 as some in Europe do.

Apss's

Seriously?

Wise is correct with his "English is using letters wrong".
English has many more sounds than it has letters. With English one has to learn how each letter or syllable sounds in various contexts.
It must be extremely difficult to learn how to pronounce things like 'ough' in boughcoughthroughthough and tough.

That has a reason: English is still written in the form it was pronounced in the Middle Ages (Middle English), it is not written in the form it is pronounced today. So there was a time when the letters were "not used wrong".

The same is true for French: they preserved the medieval forms in writing, although they do not pronounce them that way anymore.
They both grew like Topsy.
English suffered from the numerous invasions the picked up bits from its colonies in India, Malasia and South Africa, do ended us with bits and pieces of everything from Greek, Latin, Malay and HindI to the southern European languages, German and Norse.

France put some effort into keeping le franais pure but not very successfully.

Only Norman French had a huge impact, and prior to that Latin. The rest, like German and Malay, has only contributed a few words.

vowels define pronouns.

a,e,i,o,u, ı, and .

I want to define the letters because English is using letters wrong.

a: America's first a. Ie, not Emerica, but Aamerica.

e: in black's a.

i: little's i.

o: politician's o.

u: you's u.

Meanings of letters:

a: Me/my. This is like I. The difference, when you say I, actually it is "Iy", not I. But here, it is really one letter. Just A. Like adam.

o: we

: our

e: you/your. Do you know anything shorter than this?

u: you (plural)

: your (plural)

i: it, he, she. Actually this is in Turkish is "o" still one letter. But this one is better.

ı: they.

A simple sentence:

I want to say this sentence in Dilish: "I pushed a snake in left of tree".

Apss's.

Can you tell this? How is it like? Like from heavens or aliens?

See how can it be simple.

Example sentence: "I opened". is

Ab in Dilish.

How is it now?

You will run out of words very quickly. Human language needs thousands of words. In your system evry word is a sound, but we cannot distinguish thousands of sounds. That's why the sounds themselves have no meaning in human language. They are combined to words. That way you can make an unlimited number of words with a limited mount of sounds.

Your Dilish language is a devolution of human language to a pre-human state.

Nope. Dilish is the language of future. It is beyond this date.

You can create a sentence by usign only a word.

letters have meanings how required.

For example:

We have 30 letters and we need 900 words to talk accurate, right?

In ordinarly  you  can create all words by using two letters:

aa, ab, ac, ... etc.

But this language depends on one letters mean one word.

To get what a sentence means you have to consider other words, ie letters.

Apss's means many things but you can get it after saw other words. Simple to get and use.

You know only 900 words?

And how do two letters constitute a word, when every letter already constitutes a word? A means me already, and ab is a sentence meaning "I opened" or maybe "open for me?", "I will open", "I am open", "open me!", "my openness"...

You have as many words as you have letters, because that is the principle your language is based on.

By the way, this is the language with the highest number of phonemes, so it would give you the highest number of words:

That's about how the first attempts of humans to invent language were. They ran out of lexems very quickly. It was frustrating. So much to tell and so little to say.

Then an unknown paleolithic philosopher came along, divided SOUND and MEANING and invented the WORD.

Notre-Dame Cathedral
‏ @CathedraleNotre

According to Philippe Villeneuve, Chief Architect of historical  monuments "the treasure is saved. Tomorrow we will do an inventory of  the works (paintings) of the chapels around the nave, which may have  been damaged by smoke and water.
The have been some events that have left left me very saddened.
Most have led to loss of life in tragic circumstances and a few have been purely material.

Any destruction of irreplaceable ancient buildings and other construction is bad enough but the wrecking of the Babylon treasures in Iraq by ISIS and this seem to be especially poignant.

Notre Dame seems to affect me more than any other simply because it's the only major one that I've seen before the destruction.

This is what broke my heart last year:

https://linguisticator.com/indigenous-language-loss-after-brazil-national-museum-fire/

The loss is comparable with the burning of all the Maya books by the Spaniards.

30
I do not know much about them. Are they nationalists?
Oh yes, and they're also super close buddies with top members of the right wing New Democracy party which will in all likelihood win this year's elections. They also rage in all caps at all the people calling them out on Facebook and it seems like they're all in love with some 20-something year old Deepak Chopra stan. There's a lot of weird shit going on in this country.

It is called "Reconstructionist Neopaganism", the revitalization of an ethnic religion of former times you feel affiliated with, mostly because of your ancestry. You have these kind of people in many countries: especially in Russia, Armenia, the Caucasus, Iceland... but those in Iceland are generally not right-wing. I knew they exist in Greece as well, but only as a small group of 2000 people or so who meet in costumes to reenact ancient rituals.
Oh there's a lot more than that, they just don't necessarily participate in rituals very openly etc. There was relatively recently a grifter named Artemis Sorras who convinced a bunch of people that he was the reincarnation of Ares, and that he had a few trillion dollars that Apollo gave him somehow, in the form of bonds of a bank that doesn't exist any more. There were actually quite a few people who fell for it, he had a party and I believe he could actually have some kind of shot at entering the parliament, but he was arrested eventually for various counts of fraud. A lot of the Golden Dawn fash are enamoured with ancient Greek religion as well. A lot of them also somehow fuse it with orthodox christianity, it doesn't make a lot of sense but obviously they don't really care about that, it's all about identity and excuses to be very racist.

His name is Artemis Sorras? But she was a girl.

https://www.keeptalkinggreece.com/2018/06/16/artemis-sorras-arrest-athens/

But there are no sites that connect him to Hellenic neopaganism.
