1) Seen from space, the earth is a spherical object.

2) You can go on a plane from one location, keep moving forward and end up at the same location. This is because the earth is round.

3) When you're on the plane, you can see that the earth is round.

4) We don't fall off the Earth because gravity pulls us to the centre of the Earth. Objects are attracted to other objects with a mass that is much greater than theirs. This is why dog hair sticks to EVERYTHING!

5) Prove that the Earth is flat. Go on.

1. Is it?  Have you been there?

Nono, it's true.  I was in America recently.  They're all three hundred pounds.  They walk around all day staring up into the sky, waiting for UFOs to come and tell them that the Earth is flat and 6000 years old -- if the aliens say anything else, the Americans will shoot them with those guns they're always carrying around.

They're all like that.  No exceptions.  Just like all Australians are criminals!

The people on net are not illustrative for the number of the creationists, FE.ers or everything..
I know there are many creationists in Eupopa and Australia, of course..but that was not the point, I tried to claim that the UFO-story at radio in the 50ies (and the reaction), teaching the common people how to get safe at a nuclear explosion (by "Bow&Cover"  :lol: )..are things that can really happen only in the US..

There are only 30 miles, The circumference of the earthe has (at equator) about 28 000 miles...
Do you know that the earth is flater at the poles and rounder at equator?
  On clear days I see also mountains from a distance of about 50-60 miles ..

The distances are to short.
Do you realize how small should be the earth if you could see curvature only in 30 miles?? :shock:
If Rowbotham had lived today, Im sure he had accepted the fact the earth is round, maybe he had flown once in the space, to make his own observation..He was a man of the proved truth, not someone who wanted to demonstarte the impossible..

Well, not important where my relatives are from, its generally in US with the highschools, you have to pay to get good education..

RE ~ FE
Conspiracy ~ Gravity
..from here you can derive nearly everything, I mean why should the earth not look like a NFL/Rugby ball, a little bit flattened..? :lol:
Think the sun moves with its velocity in the galaxy, all the planets folllow  rotating like in a funnel and the whole mass in the galaxy moves like in a funnel as well, around the absorbing center...  8-)

Thats right, but if the earth is moving circular, the center of the circle is out of the system (somewhere in space). They argue that we feel this acceleration, so we dont move with constant speed in a circle, we really accelerate constantly..So they explain why you are landing back on earth when you jump.. :lol:
Accelerating in a circular movement (not to the center) will also reach light speed...but  gigantic forces have to keep you in the orbit till that...

College and University are different to the highschool
People go to study in US because they want to remain there or think its better to have studied in US...Dont tell me about highschools in US, I have relatives there, and I saw what they are learning in highschool...Only highschools where you have to pay are teaching like in Europe..

Simple: we're all in the same reference frame, so, to us, there is no diference in acceleration, but someone in a different frame of reference would see something very different.

2.  Relativity prevents it.

it is possible to keep approachin a point without ever reaching it.
for example: take one meter, then split it in half, and again, and again and again..... you can keep going forever. there's allways something left to split in half

Your example doesn work in the case of "accelerating to infinity"
