Okay, so : believers believe that earth is flat but don't want to prove their theory, and destroy this "round earth" conspiration. Believers don't want to see themself this legend of thousands KM between Alaska and Russia.

Everybody is really OK with that ?

Well... so, no one of believers is serious. You have a theory but you don't want to assume it and prove it.

Sure, Zarg.

And I'd like to say too :

if there is a world conspiracy who lies to us (99.9999 % of the humans believe world is round), FE Believers MUST to destroy this conspiracy and prove that world is not round. How ? Very easy : a boat trip between Alaska and Russia...

"I demand that you charter a boat from Alaska to Russia to prove that the earth is round."

It's not necessary : I believe earth is round, so I am a conspirationist. And the round earth theory is approved by 99,9999 % of the world population.

So, why I would need to organize this boat trip ? "My" theory governs this world. So, if someone must to prove something, it's you and your friends, not me and mines.

Oh god, please be honest. You don't care to belieave if I searched on other topics or not. You just don't want to answer at my question. You, and apparently other belieavers too.

Why ?

...I think I know.

Because a one day boat trip between Alaska and Russia could prove F.E.T. is wrong.

I find it hard to believe your detailed searching turned up no results.

--> I don't find anything on a boat trip on the "Détroit de bering". Or give me the link.

To be brief, it's the exact same reasons you aren't planning the exact same expedition to prove your point. I'm sure you have monatary or scheduling constraints and you're perfectly happy with the evidence you have from behind your computer.

--> So, as you ! You believe earth is flat but you are absolutely not ready to organize a boat trip who could be prove your theory.

Oh I forgot...

I searched some similar subjects ont this forum (with "Search" fonction) and I didn't find any answer from believers.

If earth is really flat, if everybody don't belieave that and if F.E.S. is the unique movement who knows the truth, I don't understand why you don't give any answer at my question...

"Perhaps the problem is not in our comic answers, but in your failure to appreciate the vast and endless amount of posts we get from people suggesting that we charter a boat to somewhere, plan an expidition to some place, pilot a plane over there, ride a space shuttle beyond that point, or something of the ilk."

--> I didn't read a lot of topics on this subject (a boat trip). But I tried to ask this question one, two, three times, and I never read real answers.

"I am honestly surprised that you received two replies as your idea is far from novel. Many of us have been around here for years and one can see where answering the same questions ad nauseum will wear on one's spirit."

--> OK, so give me a link on a topic with this question and a real answer (with arguments).

"Another reason is that it's a bit insulting when people come here with there perceived coup d'état and demand we answer their surely unanswerable and society-unraveling question when said poster has not the time  or respect to perform a quick and simple search using the search function. In this case, I'm sure that there are other current threads discussing the exact same topic."

--> Yes, but without real answers ! Just humoristics answers...

I can't believe a person who posted 2672 messages and an other who posted 749 messages writed this two "answers".

OK, it's humoristics answers. I don't have any problem with humor, but... I'm asking to me : you're not serious ? So, it's just a parodic forum ?

Hey, look at this : http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/D%C3%A9troit_de_B%C3%A9ring
(sorry, it's a french link. But watch the picture, at least).

Just 92 km between Alaska and Russia !

But.. thousands km between Alaska and Russia if you watch the F.E.S. map world.

So, Belivers, make a boat trip ! If you see Russia after 92 km, you will sure that your theory is wrong.

But if there is juste ocean, thousands km of ocean... so, you will prove at everybody that your theory is right.

So please tell me, why don't organize this project ?

I saw FES world map.

And I saw, of course, officialy (conspiracy ?) world map.

There is an enourmous difference for each distances between Russia and Alaska.

FES world map : a very big distance. Thousands kilometers.
Official world map : just 100 kilometers.

You are all OK with that, I suppose ?

So... why believers couldn't organize any boat expedition between Russia and Alaska, to prove their theory ?
Organize that and take a lot of materials. Camcorder, navigation materials, etc.
If you do that, you will prove that official world map is wrong. So, why not organize this trip ?

« on: December 30, 2011, 04:09:50 PM »
Neither one of us are masters of FET to estimate the distance from Russia to Alaska, according to Flat Earth Theory.

--> It's not necessary to already have a very pertinent estimation about distance between Russia to Alaska. Juste watch FES world map. Then, watch officialy world map. Me, I watched it both again. And...
Officialy world map : more or less 100 KM
FES world map : at least thousands KM.

How such a trip should be useful for FET, I do not see.

--> This trip will prove officialy that world map is wrong, because you will prove (with material, camcorder etc.) that there is a lot of more 100 KM between Russia to Alaska.

Will your trip, sponsored by you of course, be using a compass?

--> Not sponsored by me my friend. It's YOUR theory. It's YOUR job to prove it.
A compass ? Yes, it would be a part of the material.

Will there be allowed compasses aboard the ship? Can any Flat Earther here bring our compasses?

--> I don't understand what do you mean.

Again, I don't see how a Flat Earth dismisses the possibility to sail from Alaska to Russia.

--> I never said that. Read me again.

According to Flat Earth Theory, at least in my vision of it, all the open seas are actually just an Inner Lake. And it's possible to sail from anywhere to anywhere, on such an Inner Lake.

--> I understand. And it's possible to sail from everywhere to anywhere with a spheric world too. But there are not the same distances. This is the BIG difference. So, this is a real possibility to prove your theory.

Again, what makes you think you understand Flat Earth Theory enough to measure the supposed distance between Alaska and Russia, on a Flat Earth model?

--> 100 KM... ... Thousands KM... the difference is so enourmous that it's not necessary to measure with a lot of precision.

How familiar are you with Flat Earth?

--> Well... I read your paradoxs, and I think my questions and reflexions cause a lot of problems to you.

Well !

Please answer :

So, if Flat earth society members a boat trip from Russia to Alaska (100 km if one believes the official theory. Hundreds of kilometers (or maybe thousands of kilometers) if one believes the theory of FE Society.), you all will prove your theory is right. Or wrong...

Are we agree with that ?

So... WHY FES don't organize this boat trip ?

"If you take any number of poor people, and offer them a temporary bribe of 1 million dollars, offering them a chance to ride some imaginary ship, and then pretend to pay for that imaginary trip with the same money you gave them yourself, would they say no?
For I doubt such."

--> Okay, but what about a FE Believer in this plane ? With material to prove the fakes windows ?

"make sure it doesn't let any FET believers like us, into their little schemes, I doubt any of us could ever use those "programs" to prove FET."

--> You doubt, but you don't know. Why don't try to make a space travel in plane, or why not try to travel to Russia on Alaska with a boat ? If FE Society woud do that, you'll have a lot of chance to prove your theory.

"Except you can't open said window, for you would see the circuits and wires feeding little electric lights into the screen you just broke through."

--> buy a ticket in few years, come with a electromagnet (and/or other materials) and a camcorder.

"Ouch !! Better take care of that bleeding hand. Otherwise the cyanide left on that screen you just broke, will kill you in ... Oh never mind. It already killed you."

--> Buy a ticket and come with gloves.

Si, I reapet :

"Okay.

Si, if Flat earth society members make a travel in boat to Russia and Alsaka (100 km if we belive official theory, a lot of more km if we belive FES theory), you all will prove that your theory is right.

Are we agree with that ?

So... why FES don't organize this travel ?"

I asked three questions on the forum ...

I read all the answers. Largely humorous answers, or who deliberately did not answer the question. So I wonder if I'm not falling into a "trap"!

Is this forum is really serious, or is it a parody forum to denounce the obscurantism of creationism and a more broadly those who believe The earth is flat?

Before working on the forum I thought it was a "real" forum, with people thinking that the earth is really flat. But after reading your answers (or your no-answers) I have big doubts!

Irushwithscvs :
why I should fund this project? The theory of flat earth is your theory. Not mine.
I just have given you a way to prove this theory. And that would not cost a million dollars! There is only one hundred kilometers to cross to prove that your theory is wrong. OR to prove it is true.
Is what I could accuse you of lying in your report? No, because you could get away with recording equipment.

Tausami: in this case, your world map is wrong! I watched the world map of the Flat Earth Society and the official map of the world: there is a large difference in distance between Russia and Alaska.

My first proposal was not the best shipping.

I found another, and that would prove your theory to the world.

According to the official map of the world, there are about 100 km of sea between the tip of Russia and the tip of Alaska.
According to the world map of the Flat Earth Society, there is a vast ocean of hundreds (or thousands) of miles away.
So ... a boat expedition could show the world that your theory is true.

OR

this expedition will prove that your theory is wrong. And maybe that's why you will never really want to develop this project.

Flat Earth Q&A / Expedition
« on: December 24, 2011, 03:55:25 PM »
Hello everyone, I have a new question.

Why is it that members of the Flat Earth Society does not contribute to an expedition by boat? Going with camcorders, cameras ... You can even place the webcams that people can watch the shipping 24/24.

What would happen? If you reach the end of the earth and show that there are rocks extends further than the diameter "official" of the Antarctic ... then you have proven to the world that the official theory is false world.

What do you think? Why not organize the expedition that would prove your theory?

Well ! Thank you all for the answers, and excuse me again for grammaticals errors.

Imagine in a few years:
tourist travel in space are possible.
Someone from the Flat Earth Society buys a ticket. It carries with it a camcorder, and equipment to detect the presence of a screen behind the window (magnet, laser, or other ...).
The project is announced in advance on the internet.
The experience will be filmed.
If this company is a member of the experiments on the plane by recording a video together ...
The world will then have proof that your theory is true.
Otherwise? If the experiment does not work, the world will have proof that your theory is wrong.
What do you think?

PS: If the conspiracy run over the plane, it will be an unsettling event for the people. If a second person of the Flat Earth Society buys a ticket and a second plane crashes, at least ... the world will learn that there is a conspiracy against you.

He could prove at all the world that earth is flat.
Isn't it ?

"simulation screens on the windows." ?
Well .. these aircraft will take off from an airport.
Imagine in a few years ...
I bought a ticket to space flight and I'm on that plane.
The plane takes off yet, I look out the window and see the runway and the airport.
At that moment, it is impossible that I not see the window is something wrong (or else explain me).
The plane takes off, rises in the sky ... up space.
When will I see would be replaced by something wrong?
How, by what technical means?

Flat Earth Q&A / Question about touristic space flights
« on: December 23, 2011, 11:55:07 AM »
Hi all,

I am French and my English is not fluent, so sorry for my grammatical errors.  :-\

For several years, the companies plan to offer space flights for everyone (well, all who have enough money). For example, Virgin Galactict.

One day, the flights will take place. In 5 years, 10 years, 20 years ... ? Whatever.

That day, if the earth is really flat, everyone will have the proof. If the earth is spherical, you will have proof that your theory was wrong.

If a conspiracy runs the world, how space travel for tourists might be possible one day?

Thank you for your answers, and good day.

Alexis
