Archibald has since admitted to being a troll and said he was leaving the forums for good.  He also posted some pictures of his gross mug.  It was gross.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: sunrise, sunset

I would define "working model" as one which has some chance of predicting three things for every celestial object: its position in the sky, its apparent size and its brightness. And if the model predicts the right amount of distortions, better still.

I was giving more of a general definition of the term.  Personally, I would be tickled pink if someone could develop an FE model that contains the sun, moon, earth and whatever other celestial objects are needed in order to demonstrate the principles of sunrise, sunset, lunar phases, equinoxes, solstices and eclipses (solar and lunar) as simply and elegantly as a basic tellurium such as this:
I would also give them the widest latitude in the way they want to show the way their model works. Even if it is not more than a formula (one that makes sense, not the one they gave for bendy light) we can help them making a neat physical model like the one you show here.

umm, the stripper?

I respect him, as do many others on this site. Therefore he is respected by many.

As misguided as Robotham was, he must have had charisma and a persuasive personality.

However, scrutinising his work in black and white, the raucous, shouty arguments collapse and weaknesses are exposed (perspective, spherical movement of the heavens, etc).   For that reason he can only be regarded as a notable person in history.

yeah, and we still didnt know wether he works for NASA or not

Please provide evidence that vampires exist beyond shitty tween books first.

I'm not stuck in the past, or lacking information, or making a bad call.

I have spent far more time than you collecting evidence on earth's shape

I am some what of an expert on earth's shape.

I have spent large portions of my adult life collecting and analysing earth shape data and documentation.

Do you have any evidence to support your outlandish claims?

Do they ever?

yes they have, go away you NASA troll

NASA faked the photos, now NASA send trolls to this forum
what the heck is going on
