Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Few simple questions from a noob
« on: October 07, 2011, 12:25:41 PM »
Who profits??

Space agencies.

Space agencies are government agencies.  Government agencies are not generally considered to be profit making machines.  If anything, they are generally spending machines.
Indeed they are. And where do you think all that money they are spending goes to? There is huge waste in government spending, too much for it to be mere inefficiency.
Would you happen to have anything other than circular logic to back up that claim?

I just jumped. The earth accelerated at 9.81m/s2 up into me. My experiment is complete. UA exists.
Oh dear, looks like in one part of the world you accelerate at that speed, and somewhere else slightly faster, and somewhere else slightly slower. Explain that while I giggle at your feeble trolling.
I suppose you've done this, then?
What, giggle at Thork's trolling?

The rings follow lunar cycles, not years. Rays of moonlight react to the H2O levels present in the bark. Figured you would be more tuned in to the bleaching and burning powers of moonlight.
Those poor trees. I forget they are out in the moonlight all night with no protection. The damage to them is truly horrific. I hope Ichi is able to find a way to prevent moonburn in trees.
Can you get tanned from the moon?

Note: I changed one of the pages and reuploaded it. It just didn't seem very professional to me.
Changing the last page to excerpts from holy books is likely to spread the bad reputation that all flattists are crazy religion-nuts.

When I open that file, it is empty. A black page in a horizontal position.
Works for me. What version of Word are you using?

Food preparation is an important part of cooking.
Eh, all people do is stick a pre-made meal in the microwave and eat that.

« on: September 27, 2011, 12:34:59 PM »
Hey, I got something that contradicts this entire theory with a simple question.

How the hell are we able to take flights around the world if its flat?

Sometimes it doesn't take a scientific explaination, just common sense.
Read the FAQ bro.

Daniel hasn't done anything for this site in months. What makes you think he will now?

It is not a real flight, it is just a projection on the canopy to make it look like they are seeing the curvature of the Earth.  I don't need evidence, I am a zetetic.
Science: "That ice cube is melting because the temperature is above freezing."
Zetetism: "I have no way of knowing if that ice cube is made of ice. I think it is actually 'anti-ice' made by the Conspiracy, covering up the fact that ice is actually diamond. Those pesky globularists."

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Still dont get time zones according to FE theory..
« on: September 24, 2011, 12:01:30 PM »
Interesting.  So when I say that the Earth looks flat, therefore it is flat, you have no argument to that, right?  Because that's the exact argument you're making about the Earth being round.
The earth does not look flat, unless you live near a plain. The "earth looks flat so it is flat" is unzetetic and is not true in many parts of the world. However the "round because it looks round from high altitudes" makes more sense, since at the heights needed to see the curvature, the hills and valleys that would negate both R/FET are insignificant. So no, the arguments are not the same.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: ice wall never melts and GPS
« on: September 23, 2011, 12:27:17 PM »
If the FE theory is right and the sun revolves around the earth as a spot light why is it that it never melts the giant ice wall.
Because the sun isn't as close to the wall as it is to the equator. I know, it makes sense.

OF COURSE YOU CAN SEE IT!!!

oh geeze this is unbelievable...

I bet there is not a SINGLE airplane pilot out there that is an FEer....for the simple reason that they witness that its a sphere EVERYDAY.

Oh, and since all the equipment in an airplane is based on the very fact that the earth is a sphere, how is it that they are able to navigate if its indeed flat????
You can only make out the curvature at about 60,000 feet or so. Stop spamming triple punctuation marks, too.

Food in these cases is no longer considered to be "food", it is more like "processed pseudo-organic semi-nutrients". What the hell is wrong with the corporations that make them? Will they do anything for profit? No more orange juice for me.

have ANY of you FEers ever taken a plane and looked out a window??

The curvature of the earth CAN be seen. Or are your eyes part of the conspiracy too??
Whatever theory you subscribe to, you can't see curvature in a civilian airliner. Thread over.

Flat Earth General / Re: International Space Station Footage
« on: September 21, 2011, 12:10:25 PM »
That only shows how willing you are to take their photos as representative of the earth without examining the claim.
How? You can't calculate how big or small the earth is from a picture showing that little of the surface. And saying "That only shows how willing you are to take their photos as representative of the earth" is no more valid than me saying "That only shows how willing you are to take their photos as fakes".

I don't see what you guys are arguing about. The earth in the picture looks to be a accurate size, fisheye or not. Remember you are only seeing a smallish part of the Earth.

24
We only ignore fools that rely on others.
You should ignore fools, but not anyone who relies on another.

1. The distance around the equator (or what us spherical earthers say is the equator) is 40075.04 kilometers. If you don't believe it measure it yourself.

2. The distance around the coast of Antarctica is around 18,000 kilometers. If you don't believe it, measure it yourself.
Let's try to keep our demands reasonable, shall we?

I agree mostly, he is being unreasonable and asking for flattists to make their own round earth photo/movie.

Look at the title of the thread --> Could someone demonstrate a photoshop magic?

If the OP is not asking for shoops, what does he want?
I assume he means evidence of the fabrication of round earth photos.

Flat Earth Debate / Re: Someone debate me
« on: September 17, 2011, 01:39:50 PM »
It's amazing to me that a particularly zealous, if ignorant, globularist states that the earth must be round like a rain drop or lead shot, and the only argument the rest of you wish to talk about is that Dr. Bishop's observation only rings true in an "idealized environment". If you spent half as much time grooming your fellow globularist, it would be time well spent. Perhaps you could remove a few nits from your own hide before applying the fine-tooth comb to Planists.
The only advantage flattists have over REr's is that they write pretty good disses, even if they add nothing to the discussion.
