Flat Earth General / Flat Earth Games - more conspiracy?
« on: August 09, 2013, 09:39:36 PM »
There is a game company in Sydney called Flat Earth Games.

Though small at the moment, I can't help but wonder if they are a part of the conspiracy. They even have a sophisticated looking map. I'm opening this to a general discussion.

Btw, the game is really cool.

Portishead are Massive Attack but much, much worse
Portishead kick ass. But so do Massive Attack.

I never served jury duty, and chances are I never will. How does it work? Do they just send you a summons with a specified date/time that you can't refuse?
You can refuse a couple of different reasons, but you are not supposed to refuse. You do get a summons.
That's pretty much right. I was meant to go back in January but was able to defer it till just now. They have tightened the laws here to make it harder to get out of. You can be fined and your driver's license taken away for not attending. That and apparently the police come knocking on your door to find out why you are not attending. (not sure I believe that though).

On a side note, you can also ask the judge is selected and give reason why you should be excused. One man did this because his English wasn't good, which of the few times he spoke, clearly wasn't. The judge's response was that he could understand him and if he could understand the judge then he has to sit for jury. The guy hardly spoke a word from then on. The amount of legalese crap probably confused the heck out of him. I certainly wouldn't want to be tried by a team of 12 people similar to him.

Ok.. well I served for the first time on the a jury the other day. It was a great experience.. an eyeopener of sorts. Without going into the specifics of the case I found it great to test out one's argumentive skills.. the person in question was clearly not guilty of the crime but I thought I would play the devil's advocate and draw things out by arguing he was. Essentially it was 10 vs 2 (or more 1 and a half, as one man couldn't make up his mind). Anyway, great fun was had trolling in a jury room but eventually and most unfortunately (I guess) I had to concede (laugh and make fun all you want).

Just wondering if anyone else has had this chance and what their thoughts were...

I spent an hour or so briefly leafing through the posts in this particular subsection of "The Flat Earth Society"
I would say it took you an hour just to write that wall of text. Sorry, I might be tired but you are making little sense. You ask far too many questions when it would be easier to cut them into smaller posts so we can easily address each one.

I have that new Daft Punk album on high rotation here.  :)

Why didn't anyone do something? Even if it meant personal injury, I would've rushed those fuckers with anything I could find.

Because people there do not carry guns.  Police had to come with guns to stop them.
Yet one of those guys was carrying a gun.

He is actually a lot better than many previous popes and is breaking many long held traditional Christian values by making positive changes. I didn't bother viewing you link Thork as I know you are trolling. I just wanted to say this man seems a good Pope.

Luck was against us. I played this game terribly too. Plus, what Rushy said. I am guessing Roundy was the psychic.

Also, Enigma is far too quiet and doesn't seem to be posting. I really have my eyes on him too.

I actually strongly suspect you Roundy.

Oh, I'm sure.  ::)

Guys, this is a bit more than a hunch.  Please just go with it so we can get this game over with.

Lynching Blanko would be the biggest fucktard move by the way.
Robertotrevor pointed it out and I thought it made sense. Then he suddenly disappeared. I think you have killed the one person who has been right about all this just to silence him.

I actually strongly suspect you Roundy. However for now, I have a greater hunch about Blanko.

I vote to lynch Blanko.

Good to see a bandwagon is forming.  I'll jump right on. Personally I am suspecting Enigma; he is far too quiet for how he usually plays this game.

I vote to lynch General Disarray

I'm voting for Pongo cause he was the first to vote (and voted wrongly) and never hopped on the Rushy train.
This.  I have nothing else to go by but was reading the thread and thought the same. Plus I am sure Pongo is a wolf every time we play this game.
I vote to lynch Pongo.
