Flat Earth General / Re: A zetetic observation... of a round earth

Should be pretty easy for you to take a vid of that sometime and back up that ridiculous claim. The "bright" portion of the moon always points towards the sun.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: How do we get weather
« on: May 30, 2012, 06:52:49 AM »
If the sun is much smaller and gives off less energy then how can it power the millions of solar panels on a daily basis?

...Because it's closer.  See how it works now?
Funny, since FET has to deny the validity of the  inverse square law  to make its other "explanations" work.

If a piece of matter is burned into nothingness by fire, then it simply ceases to exist.
Sorry, but demonstrably not true.

4
That is true.  While the Army was looking for the rifle which was cheapest to manufacture and most economical on ammunition, the Lakota and Cheyenne were more concerned with that terribly silly notion: Being able to hit your target.  Adding rapid fire certainly helps that equation, which is why every modern combat rifle (except those used for sniping, and sometimes even then) is at least semi-auto.

5
Wow....work on the reading comprehension. Custer paid for his OWN hubris, as many combat commanders before him (Quintilius Varus comes to mind).  The second part of my statement refers to the supposed "sins" of the whites, to which I argue that all humans are nasty, brutal en-slavers, Native Americans included.

6
Custer paid for the sin of hubris.  Native Americans would have done the same or worse had geography not been against them.

7
This whole frickin courtroom is rong!

That hardly matters, since infinite plane=infinite volume not matter how thick=infinite mass.

Ahh....another internet agent provocateur pretending to be something he is not.  Good job Nimp

Sorry, but there was sufficient content there, positing a theory as to why it was taken down.

We all need to keep a copy of Hypercam on hand for these laughable situations.

You do realize that both of those equations assume a perfectly circular path with a constant angular velocity. You will need to differentiate in order to calculate the forces in a RET model.

The formula for chords is so simple, it amazes me that they cant get it.  Every time I see a post like that they have a different number for how much it should "drop".

Last I checked, MiG-29s were still suborbital craft. ;D

Funny that Iwitness thinks that that is a picture from the same altitude as the ISS.   Is the internet really this difficult?

Levee has some pretty clear tactics when he is loosing as well, such as quoting scripture as if it were fact and resorting to wallpasta.  I dont think I have ever seen him post a singular, cogent thought.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Clouds and UA
« on: April 11, 2012, 05:21:04 AM »
they are moving at the same speed of the earth due to the UA
Yet I have seen FETs say that it is ludicrous for the earth to rotate because the atmosphere would spin at "crazy speed".  It seems UA would have the same problem.
You should:
1) give up your line of inquiry. Einstein's EP predicts that the FE's clouds (planes, parachutes, helicopters, etc.) would appear to stay aloft and
2) ignore Rushy, as a rule, and specifically here. He doesn't understand simple physics, including that while velocity is relative, acceleration is not.

Oh, and it is very possible, even easy, to show that the UA is false since the Earth's gravitational field is not uniform. Markjo and trig make this point regularly and well.
You might make better headway in convincing people if you were not such a smarmy prat.

So with UA, how exactly do clouds stay up for observable periods?

I love the Mystery Cetacean....its a mystery but apparently can be found far and wide in all the worlds oceans.  But it cant. But its range is well known to the author. How exactly does that work?

Rushy makes me laugh since he is obviously an agent provocateur.

23
One need not have official qualifications to be able to perform this level of math (though many here make it seem like it should be lol), but I find it handy to know what an appeal to authority is.

24
Why doesnt this effect scale down then?

25
It might be convincing if it looked just a little less like a D&D monster manual, and actually had photos or color illustrations.

26
An area A is smaller than an area A+x, even Round Earthers should understand that.
Unless of course the value of x is a negative number.

27
Except for the fact that it is completely demonstrable. Sorry.

Maybe he is being confused by the lack of precision on his graphing calculator.  This is a pretty common "Ah-ha" moment with high school trig students.  They have the angles set to integer precision and say "Huh? The angles do not add up as they should". ζ does in fact equal α+β

You just have to love someone who uses the word geezer lol.  I am assuming that that article was talking about the large herbivores like Brontosaurus?

Flat Earth General / Re: Conspiracy

Certainly cheaper to actually run the missions, if you believe NASAs budget, then to keep the conspiracy running. Sorry, but I have worked on big projects before, and I doubt seriously that they could keep all the obvious inconsistencies in check
