Flat Earth Debate / Re: Travelling East to go West.
« on: June 03, 2009, 12:00:02 PM »
as much as i hate to admit it, hes right. travelling due west would eventually bring you back to where you started in FE theory. this is because you would just travel in a circle around the north pole.

i have another question.

what about if you travel towards the north pole to try and get back to where you started? this would cut across the face of the circle. would you not hit the ice wall?

The Lounge / Re: I'm glad this site has such a good community

Are the both of you gay?

excuse me, but it's people like you that make this community look bad! This community has an excellent reputation! Don't ruin it with your unnecessary negativity and crude comments.

I'm going to have to agree with him, you both are pretty gay. We accept gays here though. Keep on keeping on you crazy homosexuals.

OMG you guys are not taking my threads seriously! Maybe this community isn't very good after all!
I'm going to have to ask you to stop fagging up general discussion. Gays belong in complete nonsense,

Do I smell a non-believer... Oh wait that's all the Cum in your mouth. :/ Common mistake.

The fact that you know what cum smells like says a lot about you. Also, enjoy your ban and watch the language next time.

wouldnt anyone thats ever ejaculated know what that smells like

1.If the conspiracy ever gets overturned, will we be able to explore the world and perhaps discover what's under the Earth?

Considering that the earth is an infinite plane which stretches forever in every direction, no we wouldn't.

2.What are the odds that the one planet in existence is inhabitable?  Or are there other planets similar to Earth?

The other planets are very small, so the changes of them being inhabitable is nil.

3.What if you just dig a really deep hole?  Wouldn't they think something was odd when you came out the other side?

Over forty years ago researchers in the Soviet Union began an ambitious drilling project whose goal was to tunnel through the earth and sample the warm, mysterious area where the crust and mantle intermingle, the Mohorovičić discontinuity, or "Moho." So deep is this area that the Russian scientists had to invent new ways of drilling, and some of the contrived methods proved quite inventive. But despite the valiant effort which spanned several decades, the Russians never reached their goal, and many of the Flat Earth's secrets were left undiscovered. The work done by the Soviets did, however, provide a plethora of information about what lies just beneath the surface, and it continues to be scientifically useful to the today. The project dug over 12km into the earth's surface and was known as the Kola Superdeep Borehole.

Here is a picture of the Kola Superdeep Borehole:

Since the suction in the vicinity is so powerful, the area above the Borehole is off limits to air traffic

i can make up stories about holes too

if not, then why even bother with all of this?
Honestly? Because it's funny. Most of the FES members like playing Devil's Advocate, and arguing a topic that most would consider ridiculous can be very good for improving debate and logic skills. Very few of the FES's members actually think the earth is flat. The main purpose is trolling all the butthurt noobs that come demanding explanations.

i can see that. but there are definitely a few people that actually believe the earth is flat. and from those people i would really like them to answer the first question.
