Flat Earth Debate / Re: simple breakdown in FE's absurd sun path

Just as I thought...  This who FE Society is a HOAX...

They can not argue with what I published initially in this blog

These FE'ers are just clowning around trying to see just how far they can twist everyone's arguments against FE and wasting everybody's time in doing so.

FE'ers claim that the conspiracy theory is for NASA's benefit....

What about before there was NASA????

The realization that the Earth was round was long before there was any thought of NASA?

Flat Earth Debate / simple breakdown in FE's absurd sun path
« on: August 15, 2008, 09:31:54 AM »
Here's a simple mathematical breakdown of FE's sunlight and path over their Flat Earth.....

the FE model of the sunlight and it's path above the earth fails for the sunrise and sunset times in the southern hemisphere such as South America, Southern Africa, New Zealand, etc.

According to the theory of FE sun's path shown here from this Flat Earth link http://www.sacred-texts.com/earth/za/img/fig62.jpg

The outer edge of the sun's path (near Antarctica) will travel over the earth much faster than the inner edge, obviously, and with the outer edge of the circle covering less area, places like New Zealand will only get about 3 or 4 hours of light according to your FE's sun's path in a 24 hour period.

BUT...... the sunrise and sunsets for any towns in that part of the earth still get over 10 hours of sunlight, even at this time of year, which is their winter season.

Check out the sunrise and sunset times for Invercargill, New Zealand for today.
http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/businesstraveler/local/NZXX0016?lswe=invercargill,%20new%20zealand

Sunrise: 7:47
Sunset: 5:56
over 10 hours of sunlight (much greater than 4 hours)

Explain this!!!

Hey you FEers... check out my reply to the recent "Sunset/ Sunrise problem" thread and explain it.

And how can FEs explain that the sun "sets" at the horizon and not just disappear in the sky?

If the sun was hundreds of miles above the Earth's surface and moved according to theory stated at this link
http://www.sacred-texts.com/earth/za/za26.htm

and the Earth was flat, then we would never see the sun dip below the horizon.

Also, how do FE believers explain that just after the sun "sets" that I can see sunlight on high altitude clouds and tall mountains many miles east of my position?
