One or more tubes of Biscuits. Flatten on cookie sheet individually or squish all together.
Equivalent amount of cans of Spaghetti O's (meatballs to taste). Spread evenly.
One package of whatever cheese is left over in the fridge.  The more the better.

Brown to desired crispness. Cooking options vary.  Oven, microwave, can of hairspray with lighter, etc.

What always confuses me is how to pronounce Harkonnen.

Because of the 1984 movie I've always said Har-co-nin.  I went on to read the books in the series and pronounced it that way to myself over the next several years.  Then there was the Sci-Fi channel mini series and there they were saying Harkcan-nin.  I cringed and wanted to throw something at the TV I each time I heard Harkcan-nin.

First thing I noticed in this new trailer...  Harkcan-nin.  I still say Hark-co-nin.  I think it just sounds cooler and more diabolical.

Im not sure what you are trying to achieve by your post.

Sarcastic humor maybe?  Poking some trollish fun? You might need a break from these forums

Gumwars has provided an interesting link in another thread here.

It probably won't answer your question either but it's a great visual for understanding why not.

It's not the model that will answer what you are trying to understand.  FE explain things like night and day, the seasons, etc. all using different models.  It's highly likely a new model will have to be constructed to accurately answer your question.

I did.  Guilt made me give her the scratch off as is and she made me go to the Gas Station to cash it in, then she took all my money.

So if we are that clueless why keep asking us to explain things to you?  Do it yourself.

There is no source to query for your knowledge but you!

I think scepti is asking for you to explain your knowledge, to verify that you in fact have it (most don't, especially not internally/implicitly) and to make more clear / tease out the differences (potential paradoxes etc.) between your understanding and theirs.

It isn't something a google search can accomplish.

Why not?  You don't need to be some paragon expert in whatever field to have an understanding of how something works.

"How do magnets work?" or most any other subject is something anyone with internet access can ask and there are plenty of sources that can easily explain it to you.  You can agree or disagree based on whatever source you're looking at but your missing the point.  Scepti isn't trying to collaborate his knowledge with anyone else's.  His tactics are that if anyone isn't an complete expert on (insert subject here) that they have no platform on which to explain anything to him so he can completely disregard it.  It's an argument from authority and is used by those who can't back up whatever claim they are making.

Also, I have found no explanation on how this object was formed, why it isn't visible during the day, and if manmade, why.

You'll find the more you read about FE, the more explanations you're going to get for the same subject.  The most salient explanation is that it doesn't exist.

This one is one of my favorites.  They call it the Shadow Object...

This article says that the anti-moon orbits the sun. How does it get in front of the moon if the sun and moon always orbit opposite of each other above the Earth?
Also, you can't cite your own source. You must cite a source from another, more credible, organization.

Oh you're mistaken here bub, I'm not a Flat Earther by any means and this isn't a citation but merely a reference.  I simply posted this link because I like to read up on how far FET research goes into tying to explain how things work versus what we learn otherwise.  I follow topics like the Dome, Universal Acceleration, and the Shadow Object etc. because for myself it's interesting to learn from a FE perspective on how much they have to discard and reinvent to force their own minds that the Globe we live on is flat.  It's a very humorous line between science and imagination and I still find it amazing how much effort goes into believing this shit.

I'll be honest though, the topic you posted is considered an entry level question by most FEers and it has been talked about many times before.  I'm mildly surprised you got any response other than mine.  On the other FE site Pete would have linked the very same and locked the thread before you could hit refresh.

You beat me to it. I see you prefer the double length rolls! I always find those ones don't roll as easily on the spool, and you have to manually turn the roll to get your length of paper. Very annoying when you're in a rush.  >:(

True indeed good sir!  I however, refuse to use the spool and keep the toilet paper with in easy reach at all times having experienced many the unfortunate emergency toilet paper situation.

But, your use of the roll with the full length of paper still on, is the correct way to perform the experiment. The resident toilet roll peeping experts, aka sceptimatic and JJA, will argue otherwise. I believe that's because they both enjoy performing the experiment naked in public places. Without the paper, it's a lot less weight for their morning glory to hold up, after they've slipped the roll on, to rest between experiments.  8)

The nakedness is perhaps akin to the efficiency of performing all of these Tube Viewing experiments.  Having the need for so many empty tubes would elude to the excessive amount of ass-wiping required in the name of science.  Clothing would only get in the way.  That said, I would recommend the Charmin brand of toilet paper.  The double-ply strength and superior texture help prevent chafing as I'm sure there there is no end in sight to this particular Tube Viewing debate.

Where can I buy this game?

I have a few crates left . . . 5.25" floppys.$1.89 per pound.

I'll order the whole damn lot as soon as my TRS-80 III connects to the internet.

If there was a mod that redesigned this game to a Flat Earth, would you download and play it?

Another answer can be simple ego.

Here in these forums and other sanctuaries many of the believers label themselves as scientists that promote revolutionary contrasts to what has long been established as simple knowledge.  They praise each other and within the inner circles their ground breaking research is fascinating and provocative.  Outside of those spaces however, is the more familiar approach to these theories as they are ridiculed and insulted on a regular basis.

I've been lurking on these forums for years now, and from the many topics I've read I can honestly say that many of these believers probably don't believe FET but stay anyway because here they are respected, highly intelligent, and reward each other for their free-thinking theories.  They can't give that up, because they need that identity and attention.

Flat Earth Debate / Re: The case for Gravity and UA
« on: January 04, 2021, 07:29:03 AM »
The fundamental difference between conventional science and FE belief is the existence of Gravity.

Just like to make a point here that not all FE believers follow the UA model.  Some FE models represent Earth as an infinite plain, where gravity works.

If you'd like to discuss UA, while you are welcome to ask questions here you will almost certainly get more feedback at the other site as they have several more active posters that subscribe to the UA model.

The best open ended answer you're ever likely to get

Indeed.  That you dug up a four year old thread does not garner victory in your debate, nor does it prove any argument on your part.

I've lurked on these forums for just a short time and I'll be honest it's mostly for entertainment value.  I could attempt to engage as many others have done in debate, or questions, but I've read enough into the Flat Earth to know what the answers will be.  Flat Earth is a belief structure entirely based on all of these individuals who know beyond any shadow of any doubt that they have been lied to by...almost everyone else.  They have taken it upon themselves to open doors and seek what will reinforce those beliefs, be it a religious, physical, and/or a scientific proof.  They go through each day knowing this so firmly and so absolutely that the burden of proof must fall to everyone else to prove them wrong.  I've read many threads here on this website and these forums exist as a medium to that ideology. This is their home turf and you will never disprove that no matter the argument, at least from their perspective.

For example, I could do much the same thing with a theory I can create based on my own observations and surroundings.  I was born and raised in southern Florida, and my claim is that there is no such thing as snow, it does not exist.  I know there are pictures, and predictable weather patterns, and seasons, and a whole basis of science and discovery behind it, but yet I have never experienced this so called snow.  I have been lied to.  The Earth is a tropic paradise, I see it each day.  This must be a conspiracy driven by evil intent and insatiable greed.  This fakery of snow so people can spend billions on clothing, ski equipment, snowmobiles, and mountain resorts must come to light.  So I venture forth in the world (to my front porch) with my loyal followers (my chihuahua and my cat) to enlighten the masses.  Many laugh, and offer proof that I scoff upon.  You accept being a blind fool I say.  Some bring me actual snow in a desperate attempt of paragon evidence.  Bah! I say again, I can create the same thing from the freezer in my kitchen. How could magical icicles fall from the sky? It's never happened!  On and on, I can create a solution against any forth coming evidence that snow is real, and for as long as I remain in southern Florida and base all my ideas on my surroundings I can never be disproven in any way.  Snowless Earth wins again, and again...and again.

The point is, you can take all of the most prominent hierarchy of The Flat Earth Society, load them into a rocketship and launch them into Space.  Have them all put on spacesuits and flush them out of the airlock.  They will all look down upon the Earth below and say, "Yup, looks pretty flat to me! I was right all along!"  Matter of fact, I've read that a man built a homemade Rocket last year and did almost exactly that.  Flat Earth is like watching a train-wreck in slow motion, like tuning into Keeping up with the Kardashians every week and you are all but left with wondering "How the Fuck did this happen?"

Though for myself, I'm glad we have the Flat Earth Society in certain respects.  Reading these debates I've learned so much more about Science, Physics, and the Cosmos beyond than I ever have in all my years of schooling.  In regards to the Flat Earth Theory itself I find it is endlessly fascinating to watch how boundless the human imagination can go.  I don't take it upon myself to debunk the FET, I don't feel the need to. As a repair technician I've seen all kinds of people do crazy things.  Try as I might to prevent breakdowns and costly repairs it always happens again and again.  In my line of work we call it Building a Better Idiot.  Here, you can present what you will but if you think for a second that you can present evidence so compelling that you'll change the hearts and minds of these believers then you are in for a long haul.  My one suggestion is that if you really, truly seek to engage and challenge what these people believe, then you must learn their perspective.  Otherwise be silent and enjoy the show.

All of that being said, I'm sorry Sphericalearth, but you lose and will always lose in this medium.  Coming back with a haughty

Can anyone answer my questions now ?

Of a four year old thread will not resolve or convince anyone.  I fail to see why you even bothered.

Flat Earth Debate / Re: SpaceX rocket launch?
« on: January 05, 2019, 08:12:48 AM »
No rocket could hit the dome because no rocket could reach it before disintegrating or losing its thrust or spending all of its fuel well before.

But...the video is the offered proof that the dome exists.  If what you state is true, then what did it hit if anything and why would it disintegrate at all?  The claim in the video was that the rocket reached an altitude of 73 miles with some give or take variables, which would mean that the distance to reach this Dome can be measured.  Perhaps only the apex of this Dome can't be reached, but if it's in the shape of a Dome then why not just travel closer to the edge of the Flat Earth and launch a rocket towards where the Dome meets or is there another reason why anyone at all couldn't do that?  Oh wait...

  • No Rocket could ever reach the Dome because...reasons
  • We can't go to the Edge either because...Antarctic Treaty reasons
  • No one knows how anything at all will interact with this Dome because...No one has ever or will ever reach it.  It's a magical place

Maybe this video should have been used to challenge the concept that the Earth doesn't spin, or some more in-depth analysis of why the Rocket would return to the surface by means other than gravity since that doesn't exist either.  Instead we get a shit pile of "Look it hit the Dome!!, but didn't crash because we don't know why, and the burden of proof relies on someone proving the Dome doesn't exist because there IS a Dome but we can never reach it."

Following all this and in relation to the OP, the SpaceX program has most likely proven several times over that the Earth we live on is a spinning Globe, with a feint by linking a stupid ass Rocket hit a Dome clip found on You Tube as proof that it's all lies.
