Flat Earth Debate / Re: Is it time to reflect?
« on: Today at 03:58:10 AM »
I would say a 121 mega pixel image of the earth is well capable of resolving the exact shape of the earth.

I still cant resolve what shape the Earth could be based from this 120 Gigapixel photo

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: How far are the stars?
« on: Today at 03:31:53 AM »
Well, it's been a month since I posted my question. Is there no answer? Really? Isn't there any number even an aproximate one?

Whatever the model, the universe can still be an infinite place. Lots of flat earthers are comfortable with the idea of space as you understand it with spherical planets etc as well. It's just they believe Earth to be unique or a rarity

Nothing impossible exists. A flat world in an infinite universe.... Perhaps it's not common. Perhaps we are unique - who can really say.... In an infinite universe we are observers only from our tiny fraction of it.

Then, maybe I have to reword my question - How far do you think the stars are?

Typical distances between each other would number in the parsecs

The Olympics is still a great idea.  But its so full of media attention and tourists and requirements that frankly, it needs to be redone.

Make it simplier maybe.
The cost of running it has become astronomical and the whole thing has become a gravy train.  It should just rotate through the cities  that have held it recently and reuse the facilities that are built and ready to go.

Agreed.  Or hold it in one location every time.  Somewhere neutral.

It's the Olympics. Hold it in Athens I say

This bitch here is probably one of the most detestable people in Australia. Has been since she entered politics 20 odd years ago. Highly racist, xenophobic, bigoted and clueless as hell, she has recently announced among her most recent tirade on national TV, she will not get the 'killer' vaccine (yes she is an antivaxxer to boot). She encourages everyone that would listen to not get vaccinated and not adhere to wearing masks and social distance

One of the most uncouth and uneducated Muppets in Australian politics, she still manages to attract a following that keeps her there

Personally I am pleased she won't get the vaccine. A more worthy person can take her place

She's at a high risk age group too. I'll celebrate if Darwin can take out this repugnant bitch once and for all. She's too dumb to learn anything. If she survived, even barely,  costing the health care system hundreds of thousands of dollars for her care and taking a hospital bed for someone who may have genuinely needed it, she would claim that as a victory against not taking the vaccine. Fuck her. Maybe her death could be the greatest gift to her followers.

To get the fucking vaccine

So catch covid and die Pauline. Slowly and painfully would be a nice icing on the cake 8) Normally I'd say just suffer a lot and hopelly learn something from the experience but you're incapable of learning. Also Australia will be much better off without you.... You have a deleterious effect on our prosperity so it's time for you to POQ! :D

I am actively denouncing any event where the US doesn't win as pointless and dumb.  The events we do win are also pointless and dumb but at least we won.

LOL

I think most of the world is 'over it' and don't give a shit about the Olympics anyway

Australia 'won' it for 2032 but geez to host the games is a poisoned chalice. Has been for years

Trump bitching the reason America lost to Sweden in the women's Olympics football is that the team is 'too woke'

I mean FFS you don't get much more woke the Sweden and they handed America their arses in a 3-0 victory

Quote from: some fat fuck
“Woke politics takes the life and joy out of everything,” said Mr Trump.

“Wokeism makes you lose, ruins your mind and ruins you as a person. You become warped. You become demented.

"The US women’s soccer team is a very good example of what’s going on. Earlier this week, they unexpectedly lost to Sweden, three to nothing"

America lost because of a better team. Quit your entitled whiny arse and suck it up!

Fixed it for you. I think more people will like this one than the one you chose to put up

That's OK. You dont have to thank me. Thank Stargate for making such an awesome TV series

The Prophets and Messengers that came before us, were sent to guide humanity to the true religion of Allah. They all had the same job which is to teach people how to worship Allah and lead a righteous life.

Yeah. Usually by the point of a sword ::)

I'm probably going to retire myself from this forum

I cleared these out some years ago. It's not hard to do, and it's worth looking at for SEO reasons. 13850/25510 is a suspiciously high percentage. It makes me wonder if we are losing posts or something odd, though I don't have any concrete examples of that.

I can clear them out again this week if folks want

The fake bots might 'fluff' up our numbers that make us appear like a much larger community then we actually are though.... :)

But there must be a better way to prevent bots from signing up in the first place.... Does this site use that CAPTCHA thing? I cant remember if I needed to do that

This is a good clip from Stargate which basically explains everything wrong with religion

So some guy here in NSW was told he was a close contact with a delta strained covid positive case and was ordered to self isolate at home

So what does he do? Decides it's a neat time to travel around Australia. Nearly 10 days of infectious period living it up in the community.  Flight attendant among those he infected from another state

Seriously fuck this human garbage off to jail. Willful endangerment of lives (and given how people are already dying in Australia again it's very likely his jaunt around the country will have a knock on effect of killing someone from his spreading infection) as well as potentially costing a state hundreds of millions or even billions of dollars of economic damage (given delta is so hard to contain and time consuming to crush)

Australia is no short of muppets though with thousands attending 'freedom rallies' all huddled together to protest against lockdowns and vaccinations.

At this stage, I dont give a fuck about these peoples 'freedoms'. Sit down, shut up, take your medicine or GTFO of society. You cant take what you want from a society and then be a selfish POS at the same time. It's not how it works

I have a problem with discrimination against anyone

I would like to discriminate against the QAnons, KKK, Nazis, antivaxxers and D1 though. Those guys suck!

16
Jews understood the importance of washing hands long before Mohammad was born. It was already established practice

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Handwashing_in_Judaism

Sounds like Mohammad stole a lot of ideas and then pretended they were his own. Not surprised

I will grant you that these ancient rituals were ahead of 'science' who up until around 1861 did not think about the value of cleanliness or hygiene

17
Once again, one wonders who could have informed Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, about the significance of cleanliness for the prevention of diseases.

Perhaps he learnt it from the Jews who already had this as an established practice thousands of years before Mohammed (piss be upon him) was even born?

Some cultures use the start of the new year to add to their age

In Korea if you were born Dec 31 you are 1 year. They already do count the near 1 year you spent in the womb as part of your age. The next day on Jan 1 you are 2 years old though 8)

I'm new here and I have just discovered Flat Earth theory and it makes so much sense!!! I was always unsure about things like the moon landing since they are so improbable and I am glad I have found people who see the truth like me. I've read through the  forums and help pages, but there is one question that I can't seem to find an answe to - if the "satellites" we see in the sky are fake, then how do we get satellite TV or GPS in our cars?
(I'm not great with technology, so sorry if I have made some mistakes!)

https://www.vice.com/en/article/g5g8eq/amazon-denied-a-worker-pregnancy-accommodations-then-she-miscarried

Amazon literally has blood on their hands. It is unforgivable a CEO who can boast about being the worlds richest man has conditions which amount to human rights abuses and slavery

As a customer, I dont care if I get my product the next day or the day after or even the day after that. It's really not so important that people work in such atrocious conditions.

I wondered if the Australian Amazon warehouse were better given our workplace laws and entitlements aren't as flapped up as Americas but, it pretty much is

The link makes a good read but too much to pick anything specific to quote

Karma biting this anti vaxxer POS on the arse

Just a few weeks ago, vocal Hillsong Church member Stephen Harmon took to social media and did what he was widely known for — taking aim at Covid vaccines.

He riffed around with some ideas and paid a homage to Jay-Z with a tweet that read: “If you have an email problem, I feel bad for you, my son. I’ve had 99 problems, but VAX isn’t one!”

Flash forward to this week and the 34 year old is dead.

After fighting against the effects of Covid-19 for a month, he died at the Corona Regional Medical Center, Los Angeles, amid a new wave of cases in the United States.

His death was announced by Hillsong founder Brian Houston, who said he had just heard the “devastating news that our beloved friend, Stephen Harmon has passed away from Covid. Heartbreaking.”

Burn in hell you SOB

Your design is shit. Single hull you say? Weak as piss

If it were any good it would be used. But it sucked. And you suck. So no one uses or cares about it

I say 'who says there aren't....' obviously referencing half heartedly an element of society who push a narrative like there is some void in the female protagonist space - and showing when there clearly isn't. Hollywood is trying to push that there is this void trying to grab our attention and our dollars

Yes, yes your right. Women have it better now than in the past so lets pretend there was never a problem and all agree it's completely and totally fixed now and start yelling at anyone who says otherwise. Down with women's equality, they're equal enough already!

I mean, women always were allowed to vote and work whatever jobs they wanted too.  As long as we are ignoring history.

Racisim is over too, cause we elected a black president. Phew!

I'm so glad all our problems have been solved. Yay!  ;D

Apart from those being entirely different topics, you just look like another Muppet that fails to look abroad either. Look outside the narrow Hollywood prism.

The topic is basically that women do have have strong female protagonists that women and girls can look up to and see they can kick some serious arse

Even Hollywood has given us strong women (when they had decent talented writers). The last decade is like they wanted to pretend the years before didn't count

Currently Hollywood has this obsession in rebooting movies. Did you watch the live action 'Mulan'? It was shite. Watch the Chinese one from 2009 if you want to see a strong female lead and a story that is true to the legend. Not some shitty Mary-Sue English speaking Chinese nonsense movie that even had Chinese people hating it and asking WTF?

But I digress. Just know that Hollywood is not a reliable source of history. When they promote their shit as being progressive, because it stars women, know that Hollywood is not the only place in the world making movies these days and other countries have no problem casting strong women and the kicker is they can do that and those films are popular without a 'woke' brigade

What always confuses me is how to pronounce Harkonnen.

Because of the 1984 movie I've always said Har-co-nin.  I went on to read the books in the series and pronounced it that way to myself over the next several years.  Then there was the Sci-Fi channel mini series and there they were saying Harkcan-nin.  I cringed and wanted to throw something at the TV I each time I heard Harkcan-nin.

First thing I noticed in this new trailer...  Harkcan-nin.  I still say Hark-co-nin.  I think it just sounds cooler and more diabolical.

The computer game Dune 2, also said it how you (and I), liked

Anyway, this thread has >1 million views so far, so I am pleased with the attention.

All negative attention to you lol

1 million views = 1 million laughs at your expense

Thanks for the laughs anyway man. Maybe you're not as useless as you appear afterall
