Zecharia Sitchin interpreted in the wrong way the Sumerian epic of creation, Enuma Elish.

Marduk = Nibiru = Jupiter

Since Venus and Mercury, two of Jupiter's former satellites (now known as the Sun's chariots) also contributed to each and every major astronomical/geological cataclysm, they also bear the name Nibiru.

Nibiru is not some outer planet, slowly approaching Earth: it is already very close to us, in plain sight, once the Sun reaches the limit of its alloted space for precession, the two planets which orbit the Sun, Venus and Mercury, will be released/set free once again.

That's very interesting; an explanation I was not expecting. Where can I read more about it?

I was gonna say nibiru is just another planet, but following what you said, it sounds more like a 'title'

Yes. I believe the earth is flat.

From NASA... WAKE UP!
Last I checked North America is quite a bit bigger than the continental US.

"Inasmuch as Antarctica is about the size of North America...."
"Lots of ships have cruised entirely around Antarctica, a trip of a matter of weeks, and it requires less fuel and mileage than circumnavigating Australia.  This is proof that Antarctica is not spread over the circumference of the Flat Earth, surrounding us."

a trip of a matter of weeks, and it requires less fuel and mileage than circumnavigating Australia

Alright, make up your mind then, which one is bigger, Australia or North America (USA, Canada, and Mexico together) ?  ;D

It amazes me how this forum, intended for people who seek understanding of FET, seems to have more round earth believers than FET believers.  ::)

I hope I get access to the believers section soon. Gees..

It has always been this way. The angry globularists usually post like they've overdosed on their adderall for a few months, then they settle down or leave forever.

The reason for leaving is usually just frustration.

Debate is fun, but only if your opponent is a reasonable person.

In FE debate there are two outcomes:

FEer stops posting when he is cornered
FEer stubbornly restates his position no matter the arguments, and after a certain amount of time stops posting when he is cornered.

There have been no examples to my knowledge where a FEer accepts any evidence.
And there have been no examples where a FE provided evidence that wasn't either a misinterpretation or just plain wrong.

This sounds like I am a pot calling  a kettle black, but in this case, there is enough reason to say that FEers plainly refuse to accept any evidence that does not support their original assertion.

There isn't even a "wow that's cool, I did not know that" response. Ever.

The knee jerk, go-to answer is: "the Earth is flat and what you say is wrong"

The reason a lot of REers leave is because they came here to troll us, had their fun, and have moved on. Also because the site isn't what they expected! They never expected it would be overrun with globularists, or that the few FE here have been dealing with their kind for years.

You (most globularists do this) tend to see FEers as unreasonable. This is understandable considering some of the personalities who have been drawn to this website. My advice is to scroll past posts of people who cause you the most frustration. If you've decided someone is not debating in good faith, or they're just no fun to read, there's no reason for you to interact with them. Then maybe you could try seeing it from our side, too. You expect FEers to be as involved in whatever discussion is going on as you are, but once the globularists pile on and start giving each other a reach around it gets boring real quick. You guys are having so much fun insulting us, but it's just more of the same shit that's been happening forever around here.  You guys even get pissed off at Jane for trying to learn and explain the different FE models, when you should be glad she puts in the effort if you are truly interested in debate.

That's what I started doing, I simply ignore certain individuals.

Also, Omega, what's your take on chem trails?

I think it's related to project blue beam somehow, but even if it wasn't, aren't you the least concerned about the possible health risks involved?

And before you tell me chem trails are a fantasy, and that it's not government sponsored, watch the head of CIA admitting it's real.

What makes you right?
You and people like you.

None of you would have found your way here if the earth was NOT flat.

We are here to convince you, that you, Flat Earthers are wrong.  And you prove this, whenever you start answer unreasonably, or just do not answer for questions; there are lot of such incidents in this forum.

Actually, the presence of so many round earthers here strengthens my belief on FET. If I believed 100% the earth was round, I would never waste my time on a forum trying to convince a minority of supposedly "crazy people" that they are wrong. To me, most round earthers here, with very few exceptions, are paid shills. Nothing justifies the amount of time you peeps spend, out of the goodness of your heart, to bring us "back to reality".

How do you know John Davis had a planned antarctic expedition? In this 3 line quote, he simply says "it was cancelled last minute"

How do you know he is not lying to you?

He could indeed be lying, I simply used him as an example. However, Jarle Andhoy's story is a fact. Why is he being accused of terrorism? Because he went to Antarctica without permission? How absurd is that?

PS. this is what "cheap" technology can already do at some mall in Dubai. Now, imagine what classified technology could do.

A lot of our technology is first developed for military purposes (satellites, internet, night vision, etc...), until it reaches a level of obsolescence and is finally used for civilian purposes.

Where exactly in your equation do you define the globe is wider at the south than the north.
Actually, what exactly do you define as a "polar circumference"? Is there not two poles?
Keeping balance in an equation means one must include all factors, so why not two "polar" circumferences?
Even wikipedia says Geodesy cant decide what Earth looks like.

Unless they are lying...
Please, no! Wikipedia cant lie!

Taken from "The Figure Of Earth" Wikipedia Page

"Modern geodesy tends to retain the ellipsoid of revolution and treat triaxiality and pear shape as a part of the geoid figure: they are represented by the spherical harmonic coefficients [(INSERT RIDICULOUS NUMBERS HERE)] respectively, corresponding to degree and order numbers 2.2 for the triaxiality and 3.0 for the pear shape."

I would have included the number in the parenthesis, but my computer did not recognize them...
Check it out for yourself, its under "Complicated Shapes" Yup, to make sure no one understands it but doesn't care.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Figure_of_the_Earth

<Compelling evidence of a pear shaped Earth.

Dude, the Earth is an oblate spheroid. It's slightly wider than it is high. The distortion is so slight that pictures just show a sphere.

You can cherry pick all you like, but you have decided to stop reading/listening the moment you got what you wanted.

Oh and STILL no evidence for, what was it now? Project Blue Balls?

Omega, please explain this video.

Here is what happens if you go to Antarctica without "permission"  ::)

"Norwegian explorer's arrest in Chile"
http://www.nzherald.co.nz/europe/news/article.cfm?l_id=7&objectid=10796100

There is also a member on this board who, supposedly, has the resources and has tried to visit Antarctica, but had his trip conveniently cancelled last minute.

I would love to do that, visit Antartica, but I don't think 'they' would allow me :( I was just reading the other day about a Norwegian guy who put together a team to explore Antartica and his peeps disappeared there, shortly after sending some radio saying all was well and that the weather was favorable. Their disappearance was attributed to a storm. The Norwegian guy is now being accused of terrorism (seriously? terrorism?). I'm gonna try to find the video and post it here. It's been a while since I watched it.

Bottom line is, the ones controlling this mess will never let people like you and me to go there and see what's up.
Indeed I tried to go once myself and it was cancelled last minute due to weather on a calm uneventful day. I'd like to think this is just a coincidence...

https://www.theflatearthsociety.org/forum/index.php?topic=67909.msg1818223#msg1818223

So no, going to Antarctica is not as easy as you round earthers are saying. I also would love to go there, but I hardly believe I would be granted permission to.

I'm also curious as to what Flat-Earthers think of Occam's Razor in relation to FET. In my perspective, FET seems extremely convoluted. I don't mean that in a bad way at all; It just feels like FET requires a lot of assumptions that are very difficult to wrap your head around when Globe Earth has been your whole life.

That's understandable... imagine a blind person seeing for the first time; how different is the world he/she perceived before and after acquiring vision? Pretty crazy thought.

Now, FET is really a mess if you think about it, because we are all free thinkers throwing ideas on the table based on the premise that the earth is flat. We don't have unlimited funding like say, NASA, to test all of our ideas, so in the end, it does indeed amount to speculation. We are a few going against the majority.

With that said, I have to say... I've got a lot of respect for those of you that are actually serious about this. It actually seems quite fun to look for new explanations for things, and even more fun when you've found one that makes sense.

I really, truly don't believe I'll ever be swayed away from spherical Earth thinking, but it still feels like a very exciting and surprisingly constructive use of my time to still consider all of these possibilities.

I truly and honestly respect you buddy. You seem to be one of the very few "round-earthers" that come here to constructively talk about this subject. You are mindful and respectful. I appreciate that. Thank you.

You see what I'm saying... what's the point of posting a video which has absolutely nothing to do with the discussion? It's simply mockery... no contribution at all, neither in favor nor against it.

Am I confused? You bet. I've been taught all my life the earth is round, and now I'm starting to think it's flat. What I can't understand is this "militancy" to support a round earth, which is an idea already commonly accepted by 99% of society. I really don't understand what your motivation is to waste your time here if you are not looking for explanations that support FET.

Thats how you recognize our society. "Liars". Is it not? If so then that's how I recognize you.

I don't think society as a whole lies buddy, you're getting it completely wrong. I think very few people actually know the truth, while others "lie by ignorance", honestly believing in the things they have been taught their whole life. I have personally considered a career in cosmology before. Would I be "just another round earther lying and deceiving society?" Of course not... I would be working to the best of my ability pursuing the root of knowledge which I have been taught my whole life. Now, what I don't understand is the need some people have to come to a forum called "Flat Earth Society" to debate an idea believed by less than 1% of the population. Wouldn't it seem like a waste of time? Say there's a "Water Doesn't Exist Society" out there, with a couple of thousand people in it, why would I waste my time trying to convince them water is a real thing? Unless I truly and honestly wanted to help them, but I've stopped believing in "free generosity" a while ago... I hardly believe people would be engaged in an activity without any sort of gain, be it monetary, emotional, or intellectual (my case).

I'd also like to know what Flat-Earthers think of this:

http://www.n2yo.com/space-station/

http://www.n2yo.com/space-station/

These videos very clearly show what seems to be a curved Earth. Could this be fake? If so, why? Again, none of this is an attempt to disprove anything. I'm here for answers, not to disprove anyone. I think having skeptics is very useful and important for narrowing down and advancing theories like this.

I have seen pictures of the horizon taken with different lenses which can distort the image in such a way that you can create either a convex or concave curvature on the horizon. Nonetheless, I can't prove or disprove FET or round earth theory... in the end I'm just a free thinker, and the more I read about FET, the more I believe it's true. I'm being sincere here. Just like you, I'm in search of truth.

22
"Why lie?" hmm I think it's a matter of control. The further the masses are from the truth, the more easily they are controlled. Economics as we know it, for example, is controlled by the idea of scarcity; supply and demand of finite resources. Now, imagine if there were other continents beyond the south pole, what advantage would such knowledge entail?

As for gravity, I'm not quite sure. Tesla once said “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” It's possible that energy resonates at different frequencies throughout "terra firma", somehow changing our perception of gravity (I'm just brainstorming here ok, no scientific grounds intended).

ps. knowing that Tesla was likely a "flattie" has really shocked and influenced me; considering that a man with a mind of his caliber would support such an idea has really inspired me to research about the subject.

Aliens are not possible in the way that you describe them. If you indeed believe in a flat Earth, then there is no "space" for them to travel through and begin their civilization in. Where has your perception of aliens conformed from if not exterior media. Had you not read a book or seen a video about aliens, would you still think there are other civilizations living in the lights in the sky?

The idea of life from other places, is as old as mankind. We as a species have always looked up and wondered if we a alone. Books and other media have nothing to do the idea.

The idea of aliens isn't completely dismissive if you look at them as inter-dimensional beings. From a FET perspective, what's beyond the south pole? In Norse mythology our world is called "midgard" (middle earth), implying there are other worlds, in fact, nine of them:

Midgard, the world of humanity
Asgard, the world of the Aesir tribe of gods and goddesses
Vanaheim, the world of the Vanir tribe of gods and goddesses
Jotunheim, the world of the giants
Niflheim, the primordial world of ice
Muspelheim, the primordial world of fire
Alfheim, the world of the elves
Svartalfheim, the world of the dwarves
Hel, the world of the eponymous goddess Hel and the dead

Yggdrasil

And it remarkably resembles the jewish beliefs (what a coincidence  ::))

What a waste of money.  I am really hoping there is more to it then trolling.

Could be some senator or congressman got trolled and did not like it.

This is their definition of the trolling they are "stopping"...

Quote
The grant defines online trolling as, “scenarios in which various groups deploy tactics to influence public opinion on the Internet, by leaving biased, false, misleading, and inauthentic comments, and then artificially amplifying their ratings,”

pretty much what you observe in the comments section of news outlets such as RT.com

The influence of the intelligence community there is so obvious it's nauseating (and I mean western intelligence, not Russian).

rabinoz, looking at the state of current geopolitical affairs, have you noticed how possessive the Russians were about Crimea? They were willing to go to war to keep it (bear in mind, up until recently, Crimea was NOT officially theirs. And yes, I know it was 'given' to Ukraine while the URSS still existed).

Now, how am I supposed to believe the URSS willingly cooperated with the western world at the height of the cold war in order to support peaceful scientific exploration of the Antarctic 'continent'?

We are talking about nations which almost went into thermonuclear war against one another (Cuba, missile crisis anyone?), and they peacefully cooperate in the Antarctic? Give me a break....

Omega and his friends, either they love humanity so much they willingly spend their precious time here trying to bring people back to reality (out of the goodness of their heart) or they're paid to be here. If I believed 100% the earth was round, I wouldn't spend even a second here debating with, supposedly, crazy people.

To be honest, toying with the idea that the Earth is flat is quite depressing, not the opposite.
Having a lie told to you all your life and realizing you are under the control of others is not enjoyable.
If in fact the Earth is a globe, then many worries of government abuse can be set aside.
Nevertheless, one can rest assured that no "proof" of a globular Earth that has not already been shown will surface.
Knowing this is not a comfort, unfortunately.

I always look forward to reading what you write. That is precisely how I feel.
