That is strange..

Is there a random excuse to not allow people to go to a "unsafe" error of the antartic?

Flat Earth Debate / South Pole, who owns it?

Hi there,

brand new to the boards and I think there are some great points made which I am keenly reading through :)

Quick question though, I was under the impression that no one country controls / owns the north or south pole due to a treaty put together? Which interestingly co-insides with the retention of the Fauklands by British forces due to the strategic placement for invading South America and a strong post for mining within the South Pole when it became available.

What I am trying to say, isn't it strange that no superpower has declared "we own that", or I am misinformed.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Continental drift and earthquakes
« on: May 12, 2008, 03:09:02 PM »
There was reported earthquakes in Manchester, UK a few years ago and this year not so long ago and we are no where near the rims of any tetonic plates (as it were), so would it be fair to say that the tetonic plates are the complete reason for earthquakes / tremors?
