So Trump was guilty of obstruction of justice,  maybe the truth will eventually be made public?

Will Trump now be charged?

And that's just the ones getting tested. I'm sure the numbers are just as great in those not getting tested
That seems extremely unlikely and is never the case anywhere else.

There is no way 50% of the population have it at exactly the same time, it just doesn't work like that.

I don't think it's 50% of the population. It's roughly 50% of those being tested:

Yes, that's precisely my point!  Shifter and Jerkface are suggesting that the rest of the population would have the same rate of positives and I'm saying this isn't so.

I take your point,  but I'm not suggesting 50% of the population are positive at time.   However, at this rate, India might just be the first country to reach herd immunity by "natural" means.

‘We are witnessing a crime against humanity’: Arundhati Roy on India’s Covid catastrophe

Worth a read.  A really damning picture of the epidemic and India under Modi.

It is staggering how little India spends on it's healthcare "system".

Disaster looming type numbers...  50% of those getting tested in Kolkata are testing positive...  FFS

I guess that's 2/3 of the way to herd immunity,  I wonder how many of the herd will be left when the dust settles.

I'm with FE4 on this question,  I'm scared that some random gay guy will try and re-organize my wardrobe,  tell me to change my hair style and forceably redecorate my home.

They aren't to be trusted.  :)

How to mislead the MAGA mob in three easy steps.

Banner News Headline:- Trump Was Right About Election Hoax: US Intel Makes Huge Announcement

So you click on the links for more detail....

Trump Was Right About News Hoax: US Intel Can't Prove Russians Put Bounties on American Troops

Notice how it's now,  a News Hoax,  first it was Election Hoax.  Subtle change.

The real story emerges deeper down in the mud.

A senior intelligence official told reporters that the U.S. had “low to moderate confidence” in the bounty allegations, The Wall Street Journal and many other outlets reported.
“Translated from the jargon of spyworld, that means the intelligence agencies have found the story is, at best, unproven — and possibly untrue,” The Daily Beast said.

So,  what was the Election Hoax that Trump was right about?

How many don't look past the banner headline?

i heard people who have gotten there 2nd vaccine shot still got the corona virus.

Getting vaccinated doesn't stop you from getting Covid,  it stops you from dying from it.  ( mostly)

Australia has dropped the AZ vaccine for people under 50,  but as I understand it,  it's because people under 50 have a lower risk of dying from Covid,  so the risk/reward equation is different for that group.  As compared with the over 50 risk profile.

I'd still take the J&J if offered.

Americans are afraid.  That's why they want guns.  What are they afraid of?

You guessed it,  ....   drumroll ....   other Americans with guns.

I can't see any way out of the loop.

Don't laugh,  it gets better.....

So unless you agree to a recurring monthly ripoff,  we will tell Trump you have defected to the radical left.

Are there really people who fall for this crap?

Why does he need money if he's rich?
How long do you think he's going stay rich if he has to spend his own money?
Well, if he's worth 11 billion... A while.

Truth is he's pretty much broke.  Deutsche Bank might let him off the hook for the 400 Million,  but I don't think the Russians will be so generous.

In Trump's defense, these people both voted for and donated money to Donald Trump.

We are talking about gullible people who were conned by a slick campaign that promised if you donate NOW, your donation will be 1000% matched,  neglecting to tell the suckers that they were the ones contributing the 1000%.

The other side of the scam that came after the election was the "Contribute now fund our campaign to stop the steal"  neglecting to mention that amounts less than $4000 were directly funnelled into Trump's pockets, and in any event they never spent anything on court costs,  I think they even stiffed Rudy.   I also suspect 4 seasons landscaping never got paid either.

Good summary of how a con man takes everybody down.

The GOP will most likely be broke and desperately dependant on Trump by the time 2022 mid-terms roll around.

Whew, close one.  I was almost stuck waiting.  Then I look down at the corner and that girl is crouched in the corner with her hands up shaking.  And I suddenly realize how I look to her.  I have to apologize profusely, and explain that I'm not a crazy person and that these elevators are terrible.

I know that I'm just being impatient.  It's interesting that from her point of view that I might have seemed like someone about to attack her.

Seems like a reasonable assumption on her behalf...

Vice TV did an interesting 3 part documentary on the origins and possible identity of Q.  Basically, they found that Q started out as a competition on 8chan to see who could come up with the most outrageous conspiracy theories and went viral from there.

I can't see that documentary from Australia,  I suspect I'd have to subscribe to some US based streaming service?

Anyway,  March 4th has come and gone,  and Trump didn't get magically promoted to GEOTUS,  so I guess we wait with bated breath for the next incarnation of the Qanon story to emerge.   Whatever it is, it's sure to be interesting.

Well, it was no accident.  The Odal rune shaped stage was deliberate.  These scumbags are heavily into symbols and stuff.  To design a stage in the shape of a Nazi symbol would be right up their alley.

Who made the statement in the image? I mean, which group? Is that from the Proud Boys?

That is from the NSM "National Socialist Movement"  aka Nazi's

On February 28, 2019, the Associated Press reported that, according to Michigan corporate records, Jeff Schoep had been replaced as director and president of the NSM in January by James Hart Stern, a black activist. Stern became its leader after receiving a call for help from Schoep who wanted to get out of the organization due to the legal issues that were mounting against it,[17] and he has said that he wants to use his position to undermine the group. Stern had previously been instrumental in dissolving a chapter of the Ku Klux Klan in Michigan.[note 1] Stern wrote in a blog post in February that he had worked with Schoep to replace the Nazi swastika as the group's symbol with an Odal rune, and that he would be meeting with Schoep to sign a proclamation in which the movement would disavow white supremacy.[15][16]

Is there a clause in the constitution that free assembly can be suspended in the event of a pandemic?

Yes, but not directly.  The states have the right to enact and enforce laws to protect the health of their citizens.

The first ammendment right to freedom of assembly is not absolute, there are limitations, such as protecting the right to not die of an infectious disease.

More in depth discussion here ..

Critical thinking skills and logic in general are under-taught in school.

I think you nailed it.  It's not just in mathematics that clear thinking skills are lacking.

The blue in the venn diagram could represent democrat ideals and the red could represent republican ideals,  ideals falling in the green region then represents the ideals that both groups have in common.  Numbers are not relevant,  but knowing that an ideal falls in the green area is relevant.

In that case it would be the number of democrat ideals represented by the blue.
The number of republicans ideals represented by the red and the number of shared values in green.

This isn't as hard of a concept to grasp as you are trying to make it seem.

Once again you failed to grasp the concept.   Never mind,  I'm sure there are other things in life that you are quite good at.

Wait until D1 finds out about ideals:

LOL,  he might be more at home with unstructured sets,  called mobs  ( no I'm not kidding ) these are sets with little or no intelligent structure, and prone to marching about at random with Nazi flags and tiki torches shouting incoherent slogans.
