Flat Earth Q&A / alright I'll bite

If a person is a Christian, I think he should try to make sure that he is not misinterpreting the Bible before he places too much faith in some specific area that has nothing to to with 'salvation.'

Oh dear. Which bits are about salvation and which bits are not?

If you cannot tell what parts are about salvation by reading the Bible, no wonder you think the world is flat. All you have to do is check out what Jesus said. I'm not a Christian anymore, so I think the whole thing is B.S., but supposed 'salvation' doesn't come from deeds or believing the Earth is flat or beating up gay people. It's not the whole Bible or nothing, there is only one thing you need to believe if you want to be 'saved.'

Ever hear of the New Covenant? Check out these two pages:

Christians are no longer required to keep any part of the law of Moses. The law of Moses has been ended by the sacrifice of Christ. You do not have to believe or do any wacky stuff you might find or misinterpret throughout the pages of the Bible. You don't have to go on some crazy 'all or nothing' personal crusade because 'salvation' is simple.

If a person is a Christian, I think he should try to make sure that he is not misinterpreting the Bible before he places too much faith in some specific area that has nothing to to with 'salvation.' When we finally get the ability for the common man to take a ride into orbit and one of those men believes the Earth is flat and then he sees that it's not, his entire faith in the Bible might shatter since he held onto his error so tightly. Anything that helps break those chains is a good thing, but a Flat Earther might totally snap if he saw with his own eyes that the world is a sphere.

Flat Earth Q&A / Going 'round the world...

There is also more than one way to go around the earth.  You can cross a line of longitude or a line of latitude.  Both will take you back to where you started.  In your map, only lines of latitude will take you back to where you started.

Has anyone done that? Do planes ever completely go over the center of the poles to get anywhere? If so, that would squash the Hollow Earth idea too since someone would see those big holes.

The head od the CIA? That's odd. As I posted in another thread, it is strange that some Christians would believe in a flat Earth when most Christians claim the Bible was the first to say that the world was a sphere:

I have incontrovertible proof that that cell towers are a conspiracy of a government cabal to take us over and make us sterile sheep.  I read it on the Internet!

Or am I digressing?

Thank you for telling us how to make a Holy Hand Grenade by way of the link you provided. Government agents will soon be knocking down your door. :D

Guys, the proof is everywhere. Look at Terry Prachetts scientific works, Discworld. FLAT world sitting on the backs of 5 elephants who are on an giant turtle. I mean, this 'round-earth' is just a cover up so we dont question whats beyond the turtle.

Oh, I thought it was 5 elephants on the back of a giant squirrel. Thanks for correcting me.

I'm not a 'Flat Earther' but just looking around for a few minutes will lead you to some of those answers. For example, I think they believe the Earth is round and flat like a record with the continents and oceans spread around it. The North Pole is in the center and there is no South Pole. If the Earth was like that, you could fly 'around' the world and end up where you started.

Here's a page with a few pictures that aren't too good, but you can get the idea:
