Flat Earth Debate / Re: Evidence
« on: October 29, 2008, 12:12:33 AM »
your new here? well just giving you the heads up, its been concluded that there is not much scientific about FET. And if you ask me, personally I think the earth LOOKS ROUND FROM THE GROUND!
You need to look out Tom Bishop's window.

Magic liquid doors? Yes, we have those, in fact the entire back wall of the Lincoln Memorial is a magic liquid door to our secondary division of conspiracy control. It doesn't exist, but you can activate it by standing dead centre of the memorial and singing "Here we go here we go here we go!!!" at the top of your lungs.

December 21st (the longest day) 2012

Fixed.
Well at least Bush/McCain/Obama know which hemisphere to look in, the northern one.
BTW Osama, had any run-ins with the Infidels yet? Or is your cave more well hidden than you care to admit?

If I didn't feel securely hidden, do you think I'd be posting on a fucking internet forum?
How is the Al Qaeda wing of the conspiracy going? Haven't heard from you since this whole "war" fiasco. Of course, the concept of a conspiracy is silly, it doesn't exist, it can't, the idea of it is preposterous.

Flat Earth Debate / Re: Atmospheric thermodynamics
« on: October 26, 2008, 12:01:50 PM »
We have modelled the atmosphere of the flat earth, we have to to get the weather and then invent measurements for a round earth to feed to the weather people. Unfortunately the model is classified, and in order to see it you would either a) need to be a member of the conspiracy or b) need to have died at least 30 years prior.

Of course I do, I have an entire records room filled with top secret classified documents which officially don't exist and you'll never be able to see because if you did we'd have to kill you. And, unlike with the American military, we here at conspiracy HQ don't beat about the bush, if we want you dead you died yesterday!

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Questions From a Skeptic
« on: October 26, 2008, 11:57:09 AM »
1. Yes, we built it. You have to understand there was a LOT of water on the Earth in those days...
2. When I first discovered the truth, and created the conspiracy to cover it up.
3. Yes, my faith is in my conspiracy.
Which doesn't exist.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: South Celestial Pole
« on: October 26, 2008, 11:53:37 AM »
I might bump this.  Obviously Tom must have forgotten about this topic.  Best remind him, because why wouldn't he want to prove an experiment in the name of FE?

I don't live in the Southern Hemisphere to participate in such an experiment. But even if such an experiment were performed and the observers looked southward and saw the same stars it would prove nothing about the shape of the earth since there are some maps of the FE where Australia and Argentina are pointing in the same direction.

http://theflatearthsociety.net/forum/index.php?topic=544.0
It's funny how this hasn't got out since the invention of the interweb, you would have thought someone would say "woah, those stars are completely different!" but no, because unlike some people, we do our jobs.

The Chinese are indeed on the conspiracy.
How could you know we put the Chinese on the front cover? er... of the conspiracy that doesn't exist.
But if it gets out, the Chinese are gonna be the first to take the fall. But it won't, because there is no conspiracy.

I conduct scientific research for a living.

Yikes!
How many times, Tom, looking out of your window is NOT scientific research!
What research are you currently doing?

Huh? You are saying that because the rock running alongside the deep-sea trenches, like say the mid-atlantic ridge, where the plates are spreading apart, are the same age, subduction, which if memory serves occurs when an oceanic plate meets a continental plate, doesn't happen?

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Who, and how long? (It's clean, I promise!)
« on: October 26, 2008, 08:37:37 AM »
Samuel Birley Rowbotham. See: FAQ.
Err, no. I think the original proponents of the hypothesis were some ancient humans from thousands of years ago, before we realised it was round. Because it is round. Rowbotham just decided that, because he perceived a canal to be flat, the earth must be flat. What a silly thing to say, nothing we'd have him killed, flown to the ice wall and dumped over the edge over.
Oh crap, there is no ice wall! Rowbotham wasn't secretly killed in any way by any conspiracy, there is no conspiracy. What a silly idea.

Flat Earth Debate / Re: An RE predictive success
« on: October 26, 2008, 08:34:34 AM »
The conspiracy used FET predictions and then made up some RE BS to convince you.
That is the solution, plus bendy light.
Of course the conspiarcy doesn't exist. And you can't prove that it does, so it doesn't. There's no top-secret control bunker under Houston, no no no, don't be silly.

Flat Earth Debate / Re: Proof of Conspiracy
« on: October 26, 2008, 08:32:51 AM »
What a silly topic, there is no conspiracy none at all. No no no no.
Btw Tom, my non-evil cousin, er, sorry, my cousin, unfortunately your theory comes with a whopper of a global conspiracy of deception, usually it's the conspiracy theorists that have the burden of proof thrust upon them. Prove the conspiracy.
You can't because there is none, I should know, I run the non-existent conspiracy in question.

But you need an ice wall to explain antarctica.
Well you don't, because the Earth is round and there is no evil conspiracy...

I play snooker. We have a snooker table here in the conspiracy command bunker..... eerrrr,  I mean, University. It needs re-felting, and I'm still not very good, but hey.

Actually, the reasoning behind the 2012-ers is that the Mayan calender ends on December 21st (the shortest day) 2012. Since, according to these people, the Mayans were some kind of prophets, who's to say they never foresaw the end of their own civilization and thought "fuck it" and pissed off?
Yeah I know that, but the galactic plane enters into it somewhere.
But, in FET, surely such a black hole would just fall, sorry, the earth would just accelerate through it and it would be left in the vast under-space.

i canīt see any guards.

But you can see an ice wall which exactly what you asked for.

Nope, that's an ice wall (a glacier, actually), not the ice wall.

Actually it's the lesser ice wall.

lrn2FET

Bah, the lesser ice wall is hardly worth bothering with.  Show me pictures of the greater ice wall or GTFO.

How can I show you a picture of something that no one has ever taken a picture of?

then how do you know it actually exists?
Shut up. We know it exists because,    because,      becaus it just does okay?

Lol, that's what happens when you get your science stories from The Daily Mail.
How do you know we won't actually cause our own universe? How do you know that, by stopping this experiment, you create an irreconcilable paradox that destroys us all?
The LHC doomsday-ers are the same people who said the world was going to end 8 years ago, and that the world will end in 2012 due to some galactic-plane transition, they're crackpots, and if I'm wrong may we all be horribly crushed somehow.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Ships over the horizon

Honestly, you have to know the earth is a sphere and not flat.  I think that everyone on these forums just participates in these discussions to feel like they belong, sort of, to something different.  It is hard for me to put into words.  There is no way anyone can be that ignorant and pretty much ignore and/or dismiss valid proof and arguments simply because they do not agree with them.  Intelligent and rational people will admit when they are in error.
Thank you for flying with FES. Emergency exists are not located anywhere on the plane, since there is no gravity and the earth will in fact accelerate towards us, not the other way around.
You think these people are stupid, wait til you see creationists. Only, they actually BELIEVE their own crap.

Flat Earth Debate / Re: wind
« on: October 26, 2008, 03:42:52 AM »
why does the wind on a FE always go from west to east?
The Antimoon. (Yes, I am back, and I'm dragging the antimoon back with me)
The antimoon orbits below the earth, it's gravity drags the air, creating winds and hurricanes, much like the tides of the regular moon.

Nothing, because the Earth is flat. Flat flat flat. Flat and that is the end of it.

I'm a round-earther myself, what with all the startling evidence an' all. What would convince me the earth is flat? Why, an expedition over the icewall to take photos of these elephants and turtles/dark energy, maybe take a few samples too.

I'm sure this must have been posted already but I really would like to know first hand the explanation if the earth is flat how do you explain darkness on the earth at the same time as it is light somewhere else on earth?  Huh
The sun is a spotlight powered by nuclear coal, or has it been updated since I've been away?
I'm back! Fear me all those who fear other things, that are like me. Haha!
You're still stupid.
And the Earth is still an oblate spheroid, wattayagonnado?

Technology, Science & Alt Science / Re: The moon doesn't exist!
« on: April 13, 2008, 02:16:05 AM »
In FET, the moon does not exist. What you see as the moon is really the antimoon's light reflected in the ice crystals in the atmosphere at the polar regions.
