Flat Earth Q&A / A Little Help Please?
« on: August 30, 2006, 04:07:58 PM »
In defending the FE theory a common thread I see while reading these posts is that all facts and figures from all source are wrong and everybody is in the conspiracy. I'm amazed that your find the courage to get up in the morning.

But the whole premise of FE theory is 'if it looks that way it must be that way'. Using the same logic I can't see air so therefore it must not exist even though I can feel it. And as Nova said about driving a car, FE theory says everything is moving and the driver is the one that is stationary - because it looks that way. Obviously not correct just like the FE theory.

BTW, I think this forum is just setup by people who get a laugh at thinking there are some that believe in FE theory. I think everybody know it is round and just like to pretend it is flat for people who stumble on the web site.

Distances...are the same on FE as with RE.

No they aren't. Distances aren't the same once you go to the southern hemisphere.

Flat Earth Q&A / Around the world

When people use the expression 'around the world' as in

Quote
Everyone around the world needs to speak out

or

Quote
Just imagine how great it would be if everyone around the world could live in harmony

This proves the earth is round. If it was flat people would say 'flat the world' instead and it wouldn't make sense.

i.e

Flat Earth Q&A / Helium Balloons?

You really think the government is that sophisticated? That they know everything going on, the can see the people in buildings from satellites, tapping all forms of communication. In reality they are a bunch of guys bumbling through each day. If they know so much why can't they find Bin Laden? You've been watching too many movies. Remember they are made up, not documentaries.

If the world is round wouldn't we fall off? Wouldn't the people in Australia fall into "space"?

Idiot.

However, why would the government try to cover the information up?

Obviously Americans need constant reminding...there is more than one government in the world.

This link talks about how gravity varies from the poles to the equator. I have never been to either to prove it one way or another, but assuming it is true how does the FE model explain this? The ground cannot be moving upwards at different speeds otherwise there would be great separations of land masses over time.

Flat Earth Q&A / Rather than argue, lets see the facts

REs, it must be admitted that photographs are not solid proof as they can indeed be manipulated quite easily, so photo's cant be classed as evidence.

FE's cannot produce any photos while there are thousands of photos that show a RE. Sure you can fiddle photos but to fiddle thousands to the point where there is no evidence of tampering, not even a forgotten shadow or a few pixels out of place. Of course all the governments around the world are using a copy of PaintShop Pro that isn't available to the general public.

Flat Earth Q&A / Disproval of the RE model
« on: February 22, 2006, 08:29:12 PM »
The RE model doesn't fully explain how the Earth was formed or how the moon came to being, but then again neither does the FE model. But a theory that isn't 100% complete doesn't mean that it isn't correct or incorrect. It's a theory that's all. But the RE model has certainly stood up to lots and lots of experiments and observations.
