You guys are retarded. You tried to sound so cool by saying that "people in armour are" blah blah blah, quit talking about "armour" making the sport worse. When dan brought up Barry Sanders, the greatest RB ever, he wasn't talking about big hits, morons. He was talking about a guy who avoided hits. Also, I'm pretty annoyed with the pathetic amount of bias around here, if you don't believe it, it's wrong. It's ok to hate football, but that's as athletic as it gets right there, not aussie football or rugby, just because they don't have pads. You people are pretty sad.

So, in a game where the idea is to avoid hits, they wear extra protective gear? Wow that sounds cool.

What bias? We like our sport, you like yours. I don't think you can complain just because 2 people disagree with you. This is a world of individuality, and not everyone likes to support a sport that encourages big guys to be overweight, with the reward of having a sit down and a rest when it's time for offensive. Granted, that's probably a crock, but I know as much about your sport as you know about ours.

Actually, I've played rugby before, Rugby 2001 for PS2, I win 8-)

Why even believe in evolution? If I'm right, and there is a God, then I go to heaven, you burn in hell; if you're right, we both die, and nothing happens. So, isn't it safer to just go with the safe choice? I'm sure I'm being ignorant again, but that's just the way it seems to me.

I refuse to get in another arguement on the same friggin boards, but....

Why is it so easy to consider these arguements crap, when, evolution is entirely random, and yet when you look at the inside of your body (this doesn't mean cut yourself) it's complex, how did all that just "happen", I never understood that.

Another is about the evolution theory, it's just that, a THEORY, not proved by anyone, anywhere, and can't be, don't tell me that God can't be proven or disproven, that's called stating the obvious.

Also, it was all started by a big bang, which eventually created earth and blah, blah, blah, and yet none of it was living, until all of a sudden, there's life on earth..................where did it come from? How did it survive its previous enviorment, if all living things need water?

My last "point" (for lack of better words) is, if evolution is just organisms having retarded babies that mate with other retarded babies, why do we think it's so bad whenever a child has 6 toes, or fingers, isn't that evolution, couldn't we use more fingers and toes, shouldn't we be happy that we're once again going through the incredibly long process of evolving into what will soon be the ultimate beast?

That's all, just none of that ever made sense to me, and I was wondering how all of you felt about all those comments.

Well, the majority is what I should've said, but typing is so hard, that I just had to shorten it up, as to not injure myself  

Neways, i know absolutely about soccer. So i don't know what a pitch is. I know hockeys surface is smaller than the international... so... go hockey. I just think making the field smaller would make me happy... on account of me not liking to turn my head so much. And Cuz seeing people run into each other might be more fun on a smaller field. I just think more violence needs to be incorporated into soccer to make it more mainstream quicker. BLOOD BLOOD BLOOD!

Pitch=field in soccer terminology (I learned almost all of what I know from FIFA games)

There's such thing as indoor soccer, I don't know about where you live, but there used to be a proffesional league of indoor soccer here. They played in the exact same field size as a hockey rink (placed turf over it) and it was awesome, but it didn't produce enough profits, so it sucked and had to quit, I loved it, but not for hitting. I like fast paced stuff like that, which is why I also like AFL (Arena Football league), playing football on a basketball sized field, it's awesome.

We didn't say it was uniformly flat.

Again with the vagueness, so, I could say, "My basketball is flat", but I didn't say uniformly, so I'm in the clear. That sucks, you slipped out by a loophole, that I should've caught, but it still is annoying.

Dumbass, relativity (as it is known now) was created in 1905 and 1916.  Galilean Relativity was modifed into Special and General Relativity.  We use Special/General Relativity today, which includes Galilean Relativity.  You should have said "Relativity started over four hundred years ago".

Now, I haven't been reading this thread because there's enough huge discussions as it is so I wait for mine to get responses, but why are people arguing about relativity? :?

It seems relatively stupid to me :wink:    8-) (sorry, I had to do that, but seriously, answer my question)

You're just confusing yourself with these definitions.  You must know what is meant by a "flat" Earth just as you must know what is mean by a "round" Earth.  Or, let's get something straight:  do you believe the Earth is "round?"

Their trying for like the fifth or so attempt at a soccer franchise in Detroit. i wonder how fast it will fold this time? I dunno... i think MLS actually might have a foothold this time. And good. Soccer isnt as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. Although the field could be smaller, and they COULD have more hitting...

Why make the field smaller, after all these years of having it that size, and soccer has tons of hitting, ever heard of a headbutt? :lol:

As pathetic as it is, it's true, the death of someone could help soccer greatly in the US, Lamar Hunt. He's known for starting the AFL (American Football League) which merged with the NFL that you all know and hate, but he also helped start the MLS, and since a lot of people knew him for the AFL, they read about his life and heard about it because he was such an influence on american sports, and they could've found out about his MLS starting, and who knows, maybe they didn't even know we had soccer in the US? :lol:
