Perhaps.  However, then we'd be left with the mystery of how the bacteria got on the meteor in the first place.  Meteors don't have atmospheres, water, or any other kind of habitable conditions.  I'm doubtful that would be the case.

Well it might be possible for bacteria to survive without... or maybe not.. whatev.
But the meteor might have had some water drops in it. (who knows)

I couldn't be more in agreement with Skeptical.  I don't want a forum where everybody agrees with me; far from it.  I want a forum where I can discuss issues seriously and get serious responses.  I have learnt enough about the world to know that almost all the time there is an opinion at least as valid as mine that is just as accurate.  Unfortunately on TFES it seems that most of the opinions do not match those circumstances, but are in fact, the opinions of morons.  We need to find a way of getting around the disruption of those opinions, while still challenging ourselves.  I think the rules SS proposed would be perfect.  We can always change the policy if things don't work too.  Lets not be polite about this, lets say what we think
