Flat Earth Debate / Why do you keep deleting my legitimate questions?
« on: February 02, 2012, 07:48:48 PM »
Why is the night sky different depending on the geographical location(the sky in the North of England is different to the one in South Africa) The flat earth model should show the same sky from different angles.

If the sun is a glowing sphere that emits light, circling above a flat disc, then the entire surface of the disc should be lit. How is night accounted for under that model?

Flat Earth Q&A / Two questions I asked that I can't find here anymore.

Why is the view of the night sky different depending on your geographical location(the view of the cosmos from the north of England is different to that of south Africa)

If the Earth is a flat surface and the sun is a glowing sphere circling that flat surface, then how can you explain the night(or shadows) that it casts.

3
How can a glowing sphere that circles above a flat surface, focus it's light? Plug a light bulb into the socket of the room you're in now without a shade and tell me where the darkness is.

4
What heat does a spotlight give out 3 thousand mile away? How hot is the bulb, I guess i'm asking

5
Anyone care to explain how gears work in the first place?

6
"Sorry but planetary gears are not the same thing as celestial gears."

Explain the difference to me. It's all I've asked of you.

7
If you can't explain yourself, then how can anyone take you seriously?

8
Quote the first few replies that explains then. I have no idea of your gear.

9
Explain to me what you mean by a gear? Then explain why you mentioning this gear explains the different sky in the northern and southern hemisphere.

10
"The south and north star gears do not contain the same stars."

What does that mean? I've noticed you keep mentioning gears, what is a gear, or what do you mean by a gear?

11
You must understand that makes no sense to me, i'm going to ask the question again. Standing in south Africa the night sky looks different to the night sky in the north of England. Why is this?

12
What does  celestial gear "poles." Mean?

13
Does the FET mob presume the heat essential to life as we know it, radiates from the spot light? If so, what is the heat generated?

14
My background is biology, but my rudimentary knowledge of cosmology and by listening to friends who know much more of this subject than me, leads me to ask the question.

Flat Earth Debate / Re: Gravity as a universal law
« on: January 17, 2012, 11:13:04 PM »
My understanding of physics is fundamentally different to your own, as is my definition of an explanation. All answers in this 'debate' section are ultimately dodged or turned into another argument that can be confused to appear to be of a similar tract

I think I need to know more about the FET and their assertions. The Q&A doesn't go far enough. Is there anywhere I can find answered questions to the FET?

That's arguing about semantics. It doesn't answer how a disc shape in system of spheres came to be. Gravitational pull can explain every other sphere.

FET falls flat on it's face without pleading the earth is special. Why is our planet above universal physical laws? Is it because god done it?

I'm not asking for an eye witness account. I'm asking for an alternative model that will produce a disc shaped body, in a solar system, that by their logic is obviously a product of gravity.

Edit: It can't be obvious if you deny gravity. But my original question still stands.

If that sounds crazy, it is because it is crazy.

I don't know how to quote, but the above sentence appears to sum up flat earth.

How was a flat earth formed?

I'm new to the hypothesis that the earth is flat. So if this question has already been answered then please forgive me. I won't get into specifics here, but assuming that gravity exists, then the spherical shape of our planet and the heliocentric nature of the solar system can be explained.

My question is: How was a flat earth formed? And how can that explanation be applied to any other branch of science?
