Flat Earth General / Re: Can we all agree that photos...

Are a shitty way to debate the shape of the world?

Yes because any information that goes against my beliefs is a conspiracy.

Yes with all my heart. Fucking homosexualist atheists telling me how the world is, I only need the Bible. >:(

Maybe because anyone with a brain who has looked at the FES's "evidence" of a flat earth on the links on the front-page has decided you are all too retarded to waste their time talking to.

Are there any genuine scientists who don't believe the world to be round?

6
If you fly South it has to be a straight line. And then what happens. Do you hit the south pole or flip to another world underneath the earth?

What would happen would be your plane crashing after being shot by the heavies NASA has put on the ice wall.

Obviously  ::).

Money from space exploration because apparently it's impossible to launch spacecraft from a disk as opposed to an oblate ellipsoid.

I am one that chooses to embrace the empirical rather than think everyone's out to fool me.

If you embraced the empirical you would see that the Earth is obviously flat. You don't have to walk up or down a slope when you go to the bathroom or work, do you? Thus, the Earth is flat. Your logic eats itself.

Maybe this website is actually run by NASA to make people who propagate conspiracy theories about their moon landings look even more ridiculous!

The Lounge / Re: Right amount of tinfoil to make a hat

You know what guys? I've just decided to say "fuck it" and get myself a baseball cap and stick bits of tinfoil on it.
I would appreciate it if a mod closed this thread now.

Thank you for the suggestions anyway, guys.

that's not going to work, the hat needs to be entirely made of tinfoil. Baseball hat with patches of tinfoil will have exposed parts that the rays can get through.

Well I only have enough money for one roll of tinfoil since I sold my house to buy an underground bomb shelter from Australia, I have to be economical.

Mine: https://images.encyclopediadramatica.es/3/36/Antiatheistmobile.jpg.

Gotta keep those godless heathens contradicting the Bible on the shape of the Earth somehow.

What is the right amount of tinfoil to cover my head in case the NSA intercepts my posts here, seizes my computer, then hires NASA scientists to make an experimental mind ray to wipe my memory of the proofs of flat earth theory?

It needs to be fashionable enough that I can wear it to my friend's birthday party.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Why is Every Other Planet Round?
« on: March 09, 2014, 01:56:12 PM »
As a follow-up question: if the Earth is moving upward at 9.8m/s^2, why don't we see the Planets all moving downwards at us?

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Why has no-one fallen off the edge of the earth?

Because there is no edge.

And yet the flat earth map you have as your forum profile pic has one.

Why is there no record of someone doing this?

(Inb4 the ice wall argument, global warming must have made holes in it by now).

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Are FE'ers boring compared to RE'ers?

Flat earthers make for flat conversation. Round earthers make for well-rounded conversation.

It's only logical.

Also I think it would be very hard to talk to the people on this forum who take FET seriously. You'd have to convine them to remove the tin-foil from their ears and come out of their nuclear fallout shelter first.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Why is Every Other Planet Round?
« on: March 09, 2014, 03:45:40 AM »
It is BS that you just assume that Earth must be exactly the same as everything else we can see at night.

I guess it is since by posting here I've had to assume the flat earther position in the FAQ that says that (for some reason) NASA will only make tons of money if the Earth is round, and has therefore faked every photograph/ study of the Earth that has ever been produced and checked by science.

You guys are pretty clever in setting up the one place you can get away with telling people that the Earth isn't a planet, I'll give you that.

Shouldn't logic tell you that small little things floating around in the night sky are not the same thing that sustains all of these different species that live on the Earth?

That's a bs definition of a planet you got there.

What makes you think that the Earth should be the same shape as a planet?

Logic.

If our solar system had made the Earth flat, some of the other planets around us would also be flat. We don't see this. Why?

I did not say I can't be fooled.  In fact, I said that I might be being fooled as well.  I simply said that I question whether or not I am being fooled.

Evidently you are VERY easily fooled. After all, you believe, without a shred of supporting evidence, that the earth is flat.

Um actually some disgraced British doctor did a highly convoluted test in the 18th century that proved the Earth was flat. I don't think you an get more accurate evidence than that. /s
