On the other hand, the RE theory has been used for hundreds and hundreds of years, backed by countless organizations and millions of dollars of research.

Please stop referring to "the RE theory."  There is no RE "theory."  This should instead be referred to as the universally accepted fact that the Earth is round.

There is, however, a FE "theory."

Maybe you should read more than the first page that is presented to you, like a good debater would.

Please tell me why I should continue past the first page, when the first page tells me how ridiculous the rest of it is.

And I'm not debating.  I'm asking for proof.  I'm assuming that you Flat-Earthers aren't all raving conspiracy nuts, and that you have some concrete reasons for believing the way that you do.  If you rely on non-scientific proofs, then I will revise my assumption.

So, when you look outside, you don't see a flat horizon?  Odd ... maybe you should schedule an appointment with your opthamalagist.

I've been to the tops of mountains, as well as tall structures such as the St. Louis Arch and the Empire State Building.  No flat horizons from those altitudes.  Perhaps you just need a little perspective.

However, since you trust your observations so much, have you ever gone looking for the gold at the end of a rainbow?

That is just ridiculous.  The link even admits the guy never used the scientific method.  Please tell me you have more than this.

Yes, I look outside a lot, and I see nothing to indicate a flat Earth.

Also, that FAQ is horrible and just silly.  If that's all you have on which to base your theories, then I will pray for you.

 same as the fact that you cant find any proof of a round earth.

Well, that's not what bothers me the most. I'm more annoyed at the fact that this perspective effect cannot be reproduced, and happens only for the sun. And also at the fact that if it did happen that way, it would never get dark.  Since this is not an orbit of a sperical object circing another, and because of the small size of the earth, it's impossible for the sun to be far enough away so that photons travelling at the speed of light would not reach either end of the world.

Oh, you're assuming that the speed of light is what they teach in school.

That's just part of the conspiracy, sheep.

A: It's a perspective effect. Really, the sun is just getting farther away; it looks like it disappears because everything gets smaller and eventually disappears as it gets farther away.

I found this in your FAQ.  This is ludicrous.

At sunset, the sun does not disappear by getting smaller until we can't see it anymore; it disappears by moving below the horizon.

Have none of you ever actually seen a sunrise?

Your argument assumes that we are on a sphere, if Earth is flat obviously the gravity of the planet doesn't affect space time in the same way.
You can't base your argument on the the assumption that Earth is round. It just doesn't work that way.

Sure I can. I am working from the assumption that the earth is round, and follows the principles of relativity. I'm looking for proof to the contrary. Sammy's little experiment is not proof, as I clearly showed. Sammy took the assumption that the earth is round and tried to disprove it with the, at the time, assumed fact that light travels in a straight line. By giving a substantial and logical reason light would not travel in an apparent straight line that has developed since Sammy's experiment, I have shown that his argument does not prove anything.

In other words, if a FE'er could disprove relativity, that would help a lot.

So, what many are saying here is that there is NO NEED for a dish?

-And that the reason it has to be pointed within certain angles is because the world is flat, and Directv is in on the gov't conspiracy?

OK.

2x a year I have to jump up on the roof and jolt the dish a little bit to get it pointed the right way to pick up the signal.  The logical reason for this would be to say, "tilting of the earth on it's axis".   It's just easier, you know.
