Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Centripetal Force?
« on: August 11, 2010, 04:46:20 PM »
Are you a Flat Earth Crazy or a Round Earth Rational.

Centripetal, Centrifugal, same thing really, I don't want to get petty!

cetripetal != centrifugal. The centrifugal force is a true pseudoforce - Its what we think to "feel" when we're being pushed into our seats when e.g. driving a turn, it feels like something pushes us to the side, however really the only actual force that exists is the cetripetal force, that pushes us into the turn. I.e. we think we fly to the right side of the car, however really the car is turning left and taking us with it, making us feel this.

And no, if the earth was flat, That would be.. well, probably quite funny.

Oooooooh yes it would wouldn't it

Flat Earth Q&A / Centripetal Force?

If the earth is a giant rotating disk, what is controlling the oceans from being spun to the edges?

You know what?

I love you guys, honestly.

Have you heard of a term called Schadenfraude? Basically means taking pleasure from other peoples misfortune and MAN AM I TAKING PLEASURE FROM YOU FLATEARTHERS!

Thank you for making the world such a big ball of laughs ;)

10
To be fully honest. If you did get a picture of the edge of the world from these people it would consist of a picture of a door. These people don't get out much or at all.

HERES A PHOTO FROM THE LAST FLAT EARTH SOCIETY AGM

No haven't you heard?

While most of use have round brains, these people have flat ones!

God licks the back of it like a stamp and sticks it to the inside of their skull.

Flat Earth Q&A / Proof
« on: August 11, 2010, 05:44:02 AM »
Seeing as you Flat Earthers discount any evidence given as conspiracy, what evidence would you need to see to make you fully believe that the earth was round?

14
They spout some bullshit about how the sun and moon are 'spotlights' as such.

What I want to know is once they make their 'Flat Earth' maps will they concede defeat when their routes take much longer than our Round Earth maps?

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

The only reason Egyptians, Indians and Cavement thought the world was flat is because they didn't know better. Simple as that. We know have the tools to realise the Earth is a ball and you still discount that???

Tell me, do you still rub sticks together to make fire or don't you know what fire is yet?

i think, that if you are willing to believe that the earth is flat. you may as well believe that there is a flat earth in a sphere. the two are much the same really. all things considered.

by the way. have any of you flat earth people seen what is at the edge of the world? been there to see it for yourself and all that.
if you have, next time you go, would you mind taking me along with you. im terribly keen to see what the edge of the world really looks like.

Righto then.

I thoroughly agree with your statements Mipos and I wish you and I luck in having our questions answered.

And if that isn't enough to meet the rules of this place...

I think Flat Earthers need to get off their ass and get some evidence to back up their statements.

If you would care to have a meander through the thread titled 'Why RE will never win" you will see in the first few paragraphs a mention of people like you who have no leg to stand on.

Other observations:
-Grammar Nazis: Anything you say is completely irrelevant if you have grammatical errors. A non-critical spelling/grammatical error completely confounds a FEer and prevents him from comprehending what is otherwise an easily comprehensible statement. Ex: "You have left the closing parenthesis off of your sentence and thus I don't understand what you are saying" or "Vestigal structures don't exist, thus your argument is invalid." Note: Proper grammar is, of course, not required for FEers. FEers will support the argument of an OP FEer regardless of how poor his English skills are.

Q: "What about satellites? How do they orbit the Earth?"

A: Since sustained spaceflight is not possible, satellites cannot orbit the Earth. The signals we supposedly receive from them are either broadcast from towers or any number of possible pseudolites. However, temporary space-flight is possible.

Can you show me a picture of these towers please with evidence that this is precisely what it is.
kthxbye

So you don't have any evidence to back up your claim.

When will you round earthers learn that you need to back up your claims with evidence?

What a twat. Where is your evidence???

You flat earth muppets are a bunch of wankers. Thank god you don't have any responsibilities in society.

I find it interesting that it is the one's claiming the earth is flat that are calling for evidence to prove the earth is round. How about facing up with some evidence of your own.

Also it's very amusing seeing a Flat Earther calling someone that knows the world is round as ignorant. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Flat Earth Q&A / Question:
« on: August 11, 2010, 04:19:50 AM »
If the Sun and the Moon are round, why can't the earth be.

What evidence is available to make one think that the earth is a flat in the first place apart from Bible scripture.

Why should Bible verses be considered better evidence that the earth is flat than modern science is evidence that it is round?
