Flat Earth Q&A / Re: earthquakes
« on: May 14, 2009, 08:24:19 PM »
Do you see that big blue bar with "THE FLAT EARTH SOCIETY" written across it?  Now just below that is a smaller black bar with some white words written on it.  See the one that says "Search" with a small arrow pointing down?  Click that and then in the small white box that shows up type the word "earthquake" (without the quotation marks)  and then do some fucking lurking!!

I did that, and still haven't found my answer thank you very little

how do earth quakes work? - shifting plate tectonics, in other words, the earth is devided into peaces held together by gravity, this couldn't work if the earth was flat, and had no gravity, it would fall apart, and one earthquake would crumble the earth

okay, so if the sun is only a spotlight for the earth, how then does it light up the other planets as well?

"Why wouldn't the TV, GPS, and internet companies that use these services front the bill? "

Please explain this.

"Also, I didn't say blimps were the sole reason, they are just used in areas (like desserts) that aren't covered by other means."

Because noone ever visits deserts, isnt that right? There can't be huge towers in Africa (mostly the southern part), but that land is HUGELY populated - someone must have seen some of all those blimps. It isn't exactly common to see a blimp, you know.
And it's not just Africa, it's every developing country that can't really afford high-tech towers everywhere, that have to have flying blimps everywhere.
The reason for these pseudolites is due to the need of services that use "satellites". The companies that provide these services (Dish network,Hughes net, ect ect) would pay for use of these psuedolites.

A high flying blimp is very difficult to spot. Also, ships could be used as well.

Hate to point it out to you, but for a blimp to be able to fly that high and not be detecable, it would run into your sun and moon, and how would ships be any affect, I don't use my cell phone out in the pacific ocean, and what about airplane travelers, surely they could spot your blimps

some spiral theory that grogberries is working on.

I didn't say this was why,I was just saying that it is a POSSIBLE (not probable) reason.

but it's the only thing you can come up with, our reasoning, along with everyone with an elemetary education is it goes around the horizon

Do you have any evidence to support this outlandish claim?

yup, check it out on discovery chanel, they've got the full documentary on film. non-stop

and what's with the overuse of "outlandish" on this site? Is it a code word for "you got me" or something?

if I went to the edge of an ocean and pointed a high powered telescope directly foward, why wouldn't I be able to see people on the next continent? if the earth is flat, I should be able to see them

so there are always google planes flying over head providing new images every second? Whoa, quite a waste of fuel if you ask me

So there are always google satellites flying over head providing new images every second.  Whoa, quite a waste of a satellite that google doesn't own if you ask me.

huh? That isn't a very good reply... But still... why don't I always see Google planes flying around? The last time I saw a plane was like 6 days ago, yet google earth continues to update my area...

Yeah about every 1 to 2 years.

Ah, that would be google earth free, I have google earth pro, updates every second

Impossible.

Go see for yourself

The sheer number of satellites necessary for such a feat would be impossible.

it's only one or two, lots of cameras though, you should check it out, only $400
