I shall actually thank you for eliminating those other accounts. Since I could not remember them, it serves no legitimate purpose to have them. As for posting two very similar threads, one in each forum, I fail to see how that is trolling. I have not said anything offensive in either thread. Mostly, I have observed the responses with curiosity, and have not responded until now. The thread in the other forum is much shorter than this one, and you will please note that I have contributed very little to it. Furthermore, I did not start contributing to this forum until today, and not a single post I have written has been uncharitable in any way. I have been kind and respectful. I would appreciate that the same graciousness be extended to me.

Well, first, I am not a noob. I openly admitted in my OP on BOTH sites that I have been here before, under a name and password I no longer recall. I don't think it is "stirring up trouble" to do that. I admit, I AM a REer. What I have seen is that when SandoKhan can't argue logically, he accuses the person of being a Troll. Now some RE people here may indeed be Trolls. Anyone is capable of being that, if their posts are obnoxious enough. Nevertheless, what I have seen as I have looked through this site (and the other one as well) is FEers who are unwilling to debate, and just want everybody to accept blindly what they think. If you don't, in come the Mods to "silence" you.

Now, Rabinoz may be a Troll. I wouldn't know. He is in Australia, I am in Iowa. Any of the Mods can check to see if this true. I am guessing he uses a computer. I (usually) use a Kindle Fire tablet. I haven't read enough of his stuff to determine if he is a Troll, or merely a REer who won't allow illogic to pass by without comment.

I shall be honest. A two-month ban for presenting arguments for the purpose of debate seems a little excessive, by my standards. It makes it look as though Flat Earthers have something to fear from Round Earthers, and would rather use the discipline of the Mods than be honest and have a true debate.

Seriously, if you are debating someone, it is not up to YOU to decide summarily that your opponent has been bested. You might choose to think so, and that is your prerogative, but to simply say, "I have won the debate", with no evidence to back that up, just makes you look silly, no matter WHAT side of the debate you are on.

Who exactly is Eric Dupay? I know he believes in Flat Earth, and has written some books. Is he an authority on the subject? I am a Round Earther, incidentally, just so you know the direction from which I come.

I wouldn't have the slightest clue who he is. I would imagine he is an authority on his subject, which is not the serious study of the flat earth. The fact you are a round earther means I have no idea which direction you come from.

It seems rather odd to me that the secretary of The Flat Earth Society is so oblivious to some of the bigger names in the greater FE community.

I've quoted his book in jest a few times. I don't think he's an authority on anything other than dragging flat earthers through the dirt and being a racist and neo-nazi.

And yet you said you hadn't the faintest idea who he was. What did you mean by that? And your statement that since I am a Round Earther, you do not know the direction from which I come simply is a non-sequitur.

More options are better.

Several years ago there was some disagreement about the way this site was being run. They split off and started their own thing. Some people wanted the forums to merge, others did not.

Well, I have joined both, so it ought to be interesting to see how conversations go. On the other site, someone blamed Daniel Shenton for the split, and failure to reunite. Why would he be at fault specifically?

Hello. I note that there are still two Flat Earth Societies. When I was last here, years ago, under a user name I don't recall, the two Flat Earth Societies were talking about reuniting. What happened to that? Anyway, good to be back.
