What a lovely thread this disintegrated into.

Thanks for answering my question, though.

Q : "Why is the North pole colder than the equator?"

A: The sun circles over the equator, thus the poles don't receive the same intensity of light.

Do FE'rs believe that there are two poles? And if not, how do you explain this statement?

The movie has nothing to do with FE or RE. Get over with it.
Ah, Pax Americana. Would you care to debate me on the decline of the so-called American empire sometime? I'm sure you realize that America is falling, in fact, it's been falling for quite some time now.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the subject.

It was closed because you can't read.

I assure you, dear friend, that I can read.

But my thread, and my post were not violating the TOS of this forum, which I carefully read before joining. Would you like me to go retrieve them for you so YOU can read them over?

At any rate, I was merely trying to start a discussion. I, for one, believe that Disney's representation of the world's end in that wonderfully fictional story is beautiful.

Since my thread was closed without my question being answered, I'll ask again.

What do the regular members of this forum think about this movie? It their representation of the end of the earth congruent with what you think?

Also - why was my thread closed? I was asking an honest question in hopes of sparking an interesting conversation. Closing it was unwarranted - it broke none of your terms of service.

Of course, the idea that by rocking a ship, it could flip over and take one to the underworld is just sheer silliness.

However, the idea that the world has an end flows nicely with ya'lls claims, eh?

That, and the fact that John Depp is totally hawt, makes it a pretty good movie.

Cacophony approves, A+ for effort.

Another question - what are your thoughts on the last installment of Disney's the Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End?
Ok... that's pretty off topic.
Not at all.

In the movie, the concept that the Earth is flat was introduced.

Disney is very advanced with their concepts, you know.
