Flat Earth Q&A / Proof of flat earth (no really - Magellan's mistake)
« on: September 19, 2007, 09:13:01 AM »

As you can see by this expertly done comic (thx flaterthluvr for making it), it has been proven that Magellan's voyage was a complete mistake in historical records.

So stop trying to keep saying it.

FE Victory!

Your grammar sucks.
...
Its for astronomers
Damn irony!

I wouldn't call a missed apostrophy a major grammar error.

Nice job contributing, dipshit.

Wooden raft, 1.5 knot sailing speed.  I don't see why this is so hard to understand.

You're playing with words. A nautical mile is much larger on a flat earth at that latitude. Please don't try to confuse the noobs.

Also it would be closer to 2 knots. (For the noobs, 2 knots is slow near the north pole, and screaming fast in the southern pacific)

Just like an inch is a foot on the sun, but a centimeter in France!

You've seriously posted eighty-five times and haven't yet read the FAQ?

Wow.

Pro tip: In order to get others to read something, make it short, succinct, and not sound like an eight year-old was picking out letters from a scrabble game.

Or the water is just being dragged into the earth.

Exactly. The giant reptiles under the Earth next to the elephants and turtles suck up the water, counteracting the Earth's upward force.

Please guys, don't be mean. I wrote this so I could get some answers, I don't need mockery.

But Phy, that's no fun.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Parallex Angles
« on: September 18, 2007, 09:39:07 AM »
How would you know you were going in a straight line?

How about you use a simple, mechanical instrument. Ever heard of a compass?

And nothing about Parallex angles? Seriously, how could you ever think the stars are 100 miles away...

There is more advice about him in The RE Primer.
I'm mentioned in the primer?  Hellz yea!!!

You're acting like a total dipshit? Hellz yea!!!

Right, and how can one fly around the world? You can fly from California to Hawaii without problems. Hawaii to Japan, fine. Japan to Russia, fine. California to New York, fine. New York to Paris, fine. Paris to Russia fine.
All quite possible on the FE.

Not if one was traveling in a straight line.

OK then, which famous scientific figures from the past believed the world was flat? (the bloke who wrote the book doesn't count)

They faked their own death, fool!

Socrates. It shit and die.

Your grammar sucks. With a singular subject, one would add the "s" after "shit" and "die". O wait, are you just being a total dipshit.

One last thing: Determining simple natural facts is not up to philosophers who pull shit out of their ass. Its for astronomers who use calculations and experiments to make sure they know what they are doing.

So it shit and die.

So if the stars are 100 miles away from the sun and moon, how come parallex angles are so easily seen with the sun and moon, but impossible with the stars?

Oh right, our eyes are playing a conspiracy on us, sorry.

Right, and how can one fly around the world? You can fly from California to Hawaii without problems. Hawaii to Japan, fine. Japan to Russia, fine. California to New York, fine. New York to Paris, fine. Paris to Russia fine. So where did I fall off the Earth?
