Flat Earth Q&A / Re: Southern hemisphere summer
« on: July 17, 2007, 01:33:58 AM »

It doesn't 'jump'  even according to the base FET.  It follows a spiraling course which takes it north and south over the course of a year.  The picture is misleading.

I don't care whether it jumps or not. If the sun is over the tropic of Capricorn over Africa (i.e. on December 21st) then it should be daylight in both western Australia and South America at the same time. At the same time, it should be dark over the tropic of Cancer near to Iceland. I want to know how this can be possible.

Then I'll believe in a flat Earth. Honest.

Obviously it does not move itself, God must do it.

Just a little warning, whatever excellent argument you come up with (like the one you just said, well done by the way) this guy (points to DanielPZC) will link it to religion in some sort of twisted way, in fact he does it so often and with such conviction that i am starting to think he isn't actually religious at all but is just using a load of bible quotes in a lame attempt to support an argument which he knows in his heart he has very little chance of winning.

rofl... You people are so stupid, I'll bet you all think that cars run on water, and black people have souls.
Alright, this is a FE discussion forum not the fucking KKK. Why the hell would you believe that black people don't have souls?! The only difference between them and white people is that they have more pigment in their skin due to their DNA (or is that against your beliefs as well).

So whoever said religious nuts are necessarily right about their religion?  ???
Oh so true.

Edit: Do i take it from your use of the word 'us' that you are a REer?

90% of us are REers.  And the other 10% are most likely just pulling our legs.

DanielPZC, for example, is pure bullshit and doesn't believe a word of what he posts.

Damn (sorry for the blasphemy DanielPZC) i like you!

In 3 the three posts i have read of yours you have practically spoken my mind!

Actually science is what does not give you brains. Round Earthers and scientists have the logic and mental power of a three year old! Christians are the only people who can be taken seriously. You should consider going to see your local preacher to have him remove the demons from your black eveil soul!
1. Im not black...asshole
2. I was actually christened however don't believe in religion as it makes very little sense
3. You need a life mate!

You see again, to believe the total load of crap which just spewed out of your brain and, sadly, onto your keyboard and therefore onto these forums, you would need to be religious! I am not and so your woeful attempts at threats of 'hell' have no affect whatsoever on me!

You Satanists know God and the Bible are true! You just try to convert people to you religion by preaching "science" and witchcraft on us, even teaching it at public schools!

Also, prove that the bible explicitly says the earth is flat, quote the exact passage or verse or whatever it is called.

Daniel 4:11
Matthew 4:8
Revelation 1:7
Isaiah 11:12
Revelation 7:1
Job 38:13
Jeremiah 16:19

Take that Satan!

Bolded.

Yeah, apparently religion doesn't give you brains, notice the word "quote". As you have pointed out i am a Satanist (oooh, hard words, i think i just crapped myself....joker) and therefore am unlikely to have a bible and so what you said, for all i know, could be total rubbish!

All round Earthers go to Hell, it is not a "mistake" to believe in the round Earth, It's a sin! The Bible clearly proves the Earth is flat yet you Satanists deny it. Even doing something as simple as looking out a window proves the Earth is flat. You could even use a level (a tool for all you round Earthers) and set it on the ground, what do you see? Probably that the bubble is right between the lines thus the ground is flat!

It's not your fault you are ignorant about the true shape of the Earth though, so just don't feel bad when God sends you to the pits of Hell to burn alive for all eternity because it is nothing personal.

Another lemming.   :D

Also, even if you were religious, why does believing in the most common and widely accepted theory about the known world make you a 'sinner' and therefore liable to go to hell?!

Because it contradicts the Bible.

I was never positive about Raa but I find it hard to take him seriously.
Ah ok, didn't know it specifically said in the bible that the earth is flat (if it isnt explicit i won't believe that it contradicts it as words can be twisted...oh yeah, and the "bible" was written by some Roman Emperor to keep the jews and christians from ripping each other's throats out).

Also, why lemmings?! There is no call at all to compare people to simple minded rodents...also the belief that lemmings jump off cliffs (as they said "following each other in to the sea of hell") is total crap, yes they fall off cliffs, but are pushed or slip due to the mass migrations that occur.

I would like to draw your attention to this post:

I don't find it funny, it makes me cry how stupid they are. They are like lemmings following each other in to the sea of hell. Even Hell needs feul and that is exactly what they are, and that's why there are so many of them also, because hell is pretty big. As a matter of fact it is below us in this grand earth.
You know, we have to be able to pull out of the lemming society, separtate ourselves from them, have our own salvation. Look how round earthers are never sure of any thing except things which haven't been prooven. They think that they are ok because of the mathematical formula which goes like this; 2 negatives multiplied = a positive. ---the 1st negative is the unproven theory...the 2nd negative is the acceptance of an unproven theory --- the multipliction is the media or popularity of the fantasy and its' authors...and the positive is the flat earthers defence system against any authorized acceptance of negativity.
I'm pretty sure that you round earthers feel bad about this post, but if you don't get it right, you'll be feeling bad for a lot longer than a few minutes.

This was made in the FE Believers section of this forum and it, to be totally honest, pissed me right off.

Raa (the OP) says that if we don't start believing in this "theory" then we will "be feeling bad for a lot longer than a few minutes" which i take to mean we will go to hell as he appears to hang onto that religious punishment at the start of the thread. Now, if FE were true and we REers got it wrong, then so what?! Just because we made a mistake doesn't mean we will go to hell, in fact it is very far from it as i don't at all believe in hell! This is what pissed me off about that post, the OP thinks that just because they are religious (or sound to be religious, i apologise if i am wrong) everyone who believes in a RE will go to hell....

Also, even if you were religious, why does believing in the most common and widely accepted theory about the known world make you a 'sinner' and therefore liable to go to hell?!

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: The Man Behind The Curtain

Why should the government feel the need to shut down this website if this website actually turns more people away from Flat Earth Theory than it brings in?
A very good point.

The contents of this site are so ludicrous and the 'factual' parts (such as the aforementioned book) have been torn apart so savagely and entirely by scientific fact that it makes it very hard to believe in a Flat Earth. In closing this forum more would spring up (possibly under aliases) basically forcing the FE Group 'underground', an event which has occured many times over the history of the modern world such as opponents to Hitler and Stalin.

Yeah, i must admit that if it were true, the money NASA could make would be immense....however i see no proper evidence that it is true as there is an overwhelming amount disproving it.

However, each to their own, if you truely believe in it good on ya for standing up for something u believe in!!

They do it for the money.
How the hell do they make money from not admiting the earth is flat?!

Sure they get money out of it by building new space projects...but as i just said, this money is used for making new space projects which, as has alreay been mentioned, would be pointless (if FE was true) and so the money is spent on something pointless.

As anyone with even the tiniest segment of brain can see, NASA lieing is totally pointless as the money they recieve for funding is spent pointlessly...

Alright then, the compass thing now makes sense...maybe writing that post when tired wasnt such a good idea, but what is really confusing me now is...why keep it a secret from us?!

All this crap about NASA faking the earth photos...why would they do it? What possible explaination could they have for keeping that secret from us? We thought the earth was flat before, why not (if it is true) just tell us we were right first time, if anything people should be happy that they weren't wrong!

Also, if it was some big secret, where are the ultra-high profile leaks that would occur because, lets face it, something this big would without fail make a massive entrance into the press!

Oh, the orbit radius changes...seems a little more believeable as some planets do change, however they are in an oval, so still not totally the same.

That however cannot be proved scientifically nor factually, so i am still going to stick with the 3D earth theory!

Try again...good luck!

Ok, the map made the traveling around a little clearer, from your point of view that is, i personally don't see how you can say that traveling east from a place means you actually travel in a curve....

However, the sun's radius changing?! I mean come on, not even the most twisted of scientific tests could prove that possible as the sun is just a giant nuclear fusion and fission reaction (the two forces being balanced), there is no way for that to afect the size!

Flying east or west around the FE is entirely possible.
How?

Take a CD for example, place your finger above th centre and move it directly west/east/north/south, you eventually come to and pass over the edge...

Unless of course you fly under the FE in which case you would notice out of the window that you were underneath this giant disk.

Well, seeing as nobody has any proof, i'de like to direct you in the direction of this thread:

It contains possibly the best anti-FE argument i have read...

Wonderfully put!

I personally was thinking that if the Earth is flat, how is it possible to fly West from America and hit China and also posible to fly East from America and hit China... Unless of course all pilots are part of this 'conspiracy' and are secretly flying in only one direction, which would mean thousands (or however many pilots there are) of people know the 'secret' and makes the chances of it not being leaked by someone zero.

I will be willing to believe in your theory if you provide me with 1 thing, rock solid proof.

By "rock soild" i don't mean a load of prophetic or philisophical bullshit, i mean hard evidence, evidence which can explain how the sea doesn't simply fall off the edge of the earth into space, evidence which proves that every single satellite photo, showing the allignment of the continents as they are (believed to be) at the minute, is wrong (this may be the hardest as they come from such a variety of sources it would be virtually impossible for all to be 'controlled') and more importantly, evidence which proves to me and many other cynics out there that all of you aren't just a bunch or eccentrics who refuse to give up on the almost totally discredited theories of the middle ages...

Impress me!
