Hey Guys,

Quick question..

Can someone provide me with a genuine peice of evidence to prove to me that the world is flat as you all say? Please no opinions or telling me to look at the FAQ, because i have and its laughable, the stuff a child would come up with.
I don't mind posting proof that the Earth is round, wheather it be video or theroy evidence.

I'm not looking for a flaming thread, just a friendly debate

Since the sun is 300 000 times bigger than the Earth, how can it be noon one place on earth and midnight somewhere else? That would be impossible if the earth was flat.

If the sun was 300000 times bigger than the Earth, you may be right. However the sun is much smaller than the Earth.

And where is the evidence of that?

Read the faq, the sun is approx 30 miles diameter, I believe.

OHHHHH IF THE FAQ SAID IT, IT MUST BE RIGHT

Are you stupid?! go to a beach and look into the ocean, you can see for miles because its flat then curves, can you our ur window? No because its the same its curves, if it was flat you would see the earths end with a telescope.

Explain me the moon one then, do NASA fake the moon shadows aswell?

God this forum makes me laugh so much, the "Evidence" is what you would expect a ten year old to say!
Like a "conspiracy" like this could ever be pulled off, over all the years im sure an insider would have told the media, since it would be the biggest story ever.
And why? How is money involved by saying the world is flat when its round? =S Would cost alot more to pull the lie off.

And not to mention the fact that millions have already travelled across the world in THIER OWN PRIVATE JETS, yes going around in a full circle, dont even get me started on this ice wall crap becuase a four year old could come up with something better than that.
Also why do they do so many public space flights? Maybe just for the rich now, but thier making it fully public soon. So why would NASA risk sending people into space? IF theve managed to make a huge lie about the shape of the earth im sure they could make people belive that people cant go into space for some reason.

Also how do you explain the fact that differnt countries get daylight at differnt times?

Also when your in a plane why does the sun set? You would see the sun all the time if the Earth wasnt spherical.

If you travel north or south a signigicant distance, you will see a

When ships put out to see, they sink below the horizon gradually.
First the hull goes down, then the masts, like so:

The Earth casts a shadow on the Moon during a lunar eclipse.  The
shadow is round.

When the Sun is directly overhead in any place, it is NOT directly
overhead at the same time in any place a few hundred miles away

There are tides in the oceans, which you can see at the shore,
that repeat every 24 hours or so.  If the Earth were flat, then there
would be no tides, because the tides depend on their being a
substantial distance between the near and far sides of the Earth, from
the point of view of the Moon.

You can launch a rocket to a high altitude and take pictures of the earth (which various government agencies and private groups have already done thousands of times in the past), but that isn't the most practical way. Pictures and videos taken by orbiting satellites and space stations are certainly the most definitive proof that the earth is a sphere.
Yes so FFS if you think its flat, buy a bloody rocket urself and take pictures!!! Its not illegal, no one can stop you.

There is so much evidence agaisnt your theorys, its unreal.

Just one last thing. Look out your window now, can you see for thousands of miles? No.
