I guess that dismisses your FE theory then.
How so?

Because I am on a satellite internet connection.  Without the ability to remain in space, this would not work.  Therefore you are wrong.
I'm still laughing about this...satellite internet connection?  Hilarious, they must be making a mint off ignorant RE's like you.

Didn't you read the FAQ's?

Unless you've been in space, and seen the earth from space first hand as I have,  you'll just believe what your taught...like the "fact" there even was a space program in the first place  ::)

Who's to say I haven't?  You are using your own pre-conceived notions that few have been to space to argue your "haven't seen it, can't comment" angle.
Well have you seen the earth from space? If you have then I'm shocked you still believe the nursery rhyme 3rd grade explanation about it being a globe.

If you have, please tell me where I should have looked for the earth's edge?  Atlantic?  Pacific?    Other?
You won't see edges  from space without a special lense that unbends the optical curvature illusion that makes the earth appear spherical (you will plainly see that there is a "mirage" effect however), but with the lense you will see this:

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: They tried to bribe me!
« on: May 09, 2007, 09:10:42 AM »
A government agent came up to me yesterday and offered me a million dollars to turn RE on this site.  I agreed, but there is no way I will quit my fundamentalist belief that the Earth is flat.

The conspiracy is trying to kill me.  I need somewhere to hide.  Can I move in with any of you guys?

Absolutely. Meet me at kilometer 255 on the 5 in Mexico and drive something with a large trunk.

I retract my prior statement ^ and admit to making it all up.

The earth is a sphere.

This formula is indisputable in its all encompassing perfection, James. Now you know...welcome to the new revolution, your eyes may sting for a while since you've never actually opened them before.

NASA is at the crux of a major Conspiracy.  You cannot trust NASA as they push the nefarious Round Earth agenda.

Why exactly would a round moon or round Mars suggest a round Earth?  And how are you so sure they're round, anyway?
Couldn't the earth be round and also flat? What shape do you believe it is, triangular...hexagonal...an ink blot shape?

You are right about one thing though, NASA doesn't even really exist as we know it. It's definitely at the center of the round world agenda as an organization that siphons money from the tax payers and pours it into development of the earth's shaded underside with the goal of moving all the non-white, diseased and mentally disabled denizens of the planet to its underbelly. They have built cities on top of of cities with the Star Wars and space research monies and i have personally seen them when I was on a mission beyond the ice wall last season.

I can say no more tonight as my IP address is undoubtedly being traced this instant, but I will return periodically with new info as it is uncovered.

If you continue to walk and walk (and swim) in one direction you'll end up right back to the same location.

I've tried this and you are incorrect. You will eventually reach the edge of the earth and have to turn back.

Does this mean we have another Flat Earthie on the forums?  Awesome.  The Roundies were becoming real assholes without any opposition from your side.
I resist categorizing myself, but if I had to choose a side it would definitely be a "Flat Earthie". I don't understand how one could walk around on this planet, not fall off, and yet believe earth is a sphere. The government is totally lying to us.

The earth is neither the moon or other planets.
Bloody brilliant, mate. Thanks.

A million pardons if this is a common question or if it is common knowledge for you FE scholars.

Whenever I get into arguments with those who believe earth to be a sphere, I never know how to get around the the fact that the moon and all the other planets in our solar system appear to be spheres.  How do I answer?
