I heard the high intensity of a few different isolated wavelengths, instead of normal wider spectrum light, is to catch a greater reflection sharper illumniation or whatever, for hd surveilance cameras. It's part of the ever expanding surveillance network possibly brought to you by the ant people.
Do you agree that this, minus the ant people of course, is a possibility?

If this isn't true, than why are CFL light bulbs no longer avaiable (period) at Rona home and Garden? 5 shelves top to bottom of LED bulbs but not a single UV emitting CFL(compact fluorescent) bulb....
Most people proaably never saw this, but they even made christmas light sized CFl bulbs 10 yrs ago. Alright, alright, they may have been more like night light size - if there is a difference. But I was gonna put abunch in christmas light string for a neat grow light set up in my house plants area, and thats all i know.

CFL lights contain mercury. They are arguably still an improvement on tungsten filament bulbs, but less green than LEDs, which are also more efficient and last longer.
You can still get UV lights for your home grown, erm... tomatoes.
