Title: the dome got struck by asteroid once upon a time

If there is the dome, where do meteorites and asteroids come from ?

Some claim they are pieces of the dome.

There are three main options I have heard of.
One is as Stash said, pieces of the dome itself falling.
Another is objects below the dome which are normally suspended like the stars and the like, but have fallen for some reason.
The final one is objects above the dome which go through it, with different ideas of what happens then.

Sceptimatic has written quite a lot on that:
By my thought process from the way my musing on Earth is, I'd say that so called space meteors and whatever other names are attributed to similar sky projectiles come from pressure eruptions from close to the centre of the Earth where the real energy is that we see as a sun from dome reflection and also falling hydrogen/helium, etc icicle builds from the dome.

Those icicles coming back through the upper atmosphere will hit friction and glow and sending the gases from that friction glow back into the upper atmosphere.

Some larger masses of icicles could possibly make it through a bit further into lower atmosphere, creating a pressure distortion...and so on.

Calling all rational thinkers. Meteors from space do not exist and you should be under no illusions about that.

Do you have evidence of anything striking the dome?
Nothing can strike the dome. You only get dome hydricals and helicals and nitricals, etc.
They're what you would view as meteors and comets and what not.
They're the dome fallers that you see in friction burn ups in the sky.

Now you know!

Interesting, I've never read the specifics of what falling shards of the dome may be; hydrogen/helium 'icicles'? I wonder how that squares with the known composition of found meteorites.

There is a lot more on meteorites in that old thread Meteorites? « on: November 20, 2017, 03:55:56 AM » (https://www.theflatearthsociety.org/forum/index.php?topic=72842.msg1985057#msg1985057).

What about the satellites? They fly over the dome, or fly under the dome, I did not hear them suffer from the dome.

I think the easy answer I've seen from the flat earth community the most is that satellites don't exist, dome or no dome.
