I am going on holiday in a few weeks. While I am away I will have the opportunity to observe the times of sunset in different parts of the world and cross check them against those predicted by Bob Bishops nemesis, the infamous ephemeris calculators, which, according to supporters of the Willmire model, tell lies about the times at which the sun rises and sets. I will also be able to obtain exact latitude and longitude data of where I am to ensure accuracy.
The data gathered in this most zetetic of enterprises will then be presented here.
Any thoughts?

Discussing procedures with your peers before conducting research is actually a critical step.
Imagine how silly it would be if you believed in a flat earth, and dreamed up your own tests, and conclusions, that no person who believes in a round earth considers a valid test.. oh wait, never mind

I suppose you're right. Should Skeleton record the sunset times with a pen, or a pencil?

I would personally prefer digital pictures taken with his smartphone.
GPS and time stamp are handy. Plus it would make an interesting thread

It will be most interesting for other Zetetics on the site to review your log notes. Please keep in mind that others do have a great deal of experience with Zetetic processes and will know if your claims are frivolous. You will want to respond without skewing the truth by personal wishes adversely influencing and tainting an obvious reality.

I dont have a smartphone, but I do have a DSLR which might do the job. I will see if it can timestamp the pictures. I am hoping to have a clear view of the horizon on many occasions.
The flattists will, of course, not accept the pictures as evidence but hopefully they will accept my chart of results which I have written.
I am hoping that I will also be able to get results for latitude and longitude without the use of GPS, which is viewed as suspect by people who dont think properly the flattists.

Well, they do know you, so they can either accept the pictures (which have not been out of your posession) or directly accuse you of lying
I know which of those options I would put money on... btw I have discovered that its possible to get a thing that attaches to my camera so it can stamp gps data on the image too, but I dont have it, so that will have to be recorded off-image.
