I mean really... I can't imagine why ANYONE would take a position as insane as a 'flat earth' except to support their views on biblical creation. Is that it?

So, I read the FAQ... I would point out that the diameter of the earth is 8000 miles, not 24000 like your FAQ implies.
Oh! I get it... Since the earth is FLAT, the entire circumference of the earth is involved in it's diameter. it must be 24,000 miles.
Then explain geosynchronous satellites.
Heck, explain how the sun can orbit something 24000 miles across at an altitude of 3000 miles. It's not a circular orbit, is it? Then explain why it appears to be the same diameter all the time.

No, the bible is pretty clear that the earth is flat and the sun and moon orbit it. Just like these guys say. Of course, this is the 21st century and that's all obvious bullshit.

The FE theory does not claim that the moon and sun orbit the Earth. Since the sun and moon are "spotlights", it wouldn't work if they orbited the Earth.
Of course, this is the 21st century and that's all obvious bullshit.
It is more obvious that the world is flat, really. Take a look outside your window. Man's first thought of the Earth was that it was flat; we all thought it was flat before we were taught that it was round. That seems to be more obvious to me.

I'm an utter atheist and Flat-Earther. I'm not trying to support any religious views, just defending what seems to be true (the Earth is flat).

Dude, what kind of foolish argument is that? Sure, thousands of years ago people had no way of knowing how far away the moon was, or what it was made of. Now, however, it's distance is precisely known and it's composition can be accurately assessed. And let me tell you... it's way more than 3000 miles away.

No, the moon is made of cheese, it gets yellower all the time. Cheese is lighter than mercury which is what is outside the ice dome.
