so if believe such craziness that the world is flat, you could also believe that we are all hooked up to the Matrix, there is no evidence denying that is there?

No there isn't. However, I have never been attacked by agents, so I have no reason to believe that we are.

I'm not talking about the matrix itself. If people want to think about that or not it's up to them. I'm talking about the style of argument where it's something along the lines of "what about [matrix-like-thing]?" If you believe FE you could believe that!!! You're right and there may be people here that do (most probably don't), the point is that it's irrelevant to the flat earth. If you want to discuss it try another forum where you'll find great threads such as "australia doesn't exist" and "I pooed my pants."#

oh please, your not going to get rid of me that easily...my point being is that such crap as a matrix theory has enough or lack of evidence as the FE theory. From what I have read in other threads on this forum is FEers just saving "it's fake" "conspiracy" "no proof." It's easy to deny things

Heard it all before. Go do a search and you'll find numerous experiments you can conduct yourself that prove the shape of the earth.

No it isn't. Like I said before, lack of evidence to believe something is enough reason not to believe it. You can claim the contrary all you want, but it will never be true.

Example.
Many people claim to have seen the Lochness Monster. Reaserch has been done and as of yet, no evidence has turned up to the existence of the Lochness Monster.
The same exact thing applies to the Yeti and Big Foot.
The eye-witness accounts are reasonable evidence that these creatures exist. However they are very good at evading every scientific attempt to capture hard evidence to their existence.
No such evidence exists for blue flamingos made out of straw. Not even an eye-witness account.
Right now you don't even have plausible evidence linking to the Matrix. Not even flying Neos.

I think there is plenty of effidence of the Earth being a sphere. People have been in space, who saw it with there own eyes (there have been hundreds of people in space, from several countries). Pictures taken from space, live streams (http://www.nasa.gov/55644main_NASATV_Windows.asx).
Don't say NASA has computers that generate these films. You all know as well as I do that there a no such computers yet that can generate this much in this kind of quality (live). And the people in the International Space Station are also floating in a non-gravity environment which is not a plane.
Planets are sphere's to, you only need to look at the moon (if necessary with a telescope). The shadows reveal that the moon really is a sphere. Or else look at Saturn, with it's rings.
And why doesn't anyone comes up with REAL effidence that the earth is flat. Until now, it's been nothing more than theories. Give me photos, instead of computer generated pictures of a flat sun or moon. Or photos of the icewall, or of the people and boats protecting the icewall.
If you can't show us RE'ers these kind of effidence, please don't respond.

There is no way of telling that it is live. Chances are it is prerecorded.
Depending on how long it's been on the internet,this theory can be dumped. Also,i doubt that computer generated images could be created to look like that. even if it were pre-recorded it takes months to create even a short,real-looking CG clip like that.

i don't know how you can say that. there's been pictures from space proving the world to be round. the first pictures came in,what,the 60s......no computer back then could've possibly generated these sorts of images. this theory that nasa made these images up has no standing in reality.

Maybe it's possible for anyone to take a picture from a distance. You know, with a telescope, or something. And I don't say it should be you doeing it, but someone can do it, or someone should have done it allready. There is no way no one ever took a picture of it.

That's a lie. People can get high enough to take a picture. You just need a very powerfull engine, enough fuel, a good camera and a radio transmitter. You only need to take a few picture, send them to the ground and then let it fall back to earth, or let it fall into the great depth.

You're not understanding acceleration. There are plenty of threads explaining this exact thing. However, I'm going to assume you will whine about how you don't know how to use the search feature and thus cannot look this up.

You only get an acceleration in the opposite direction if your moving back to were you came from. You can only move into the direction you came from if something is pulling you back. The thing that pulls you back is called "gravity".

You should not link to a picture without permission; webhosts dislike that very much.
I have heard of cruising speed and it has nothing to do with the accelerating that keeps us on the ground as well as the floor of an airplane.
Why would your altitude change? Altimeters use barometric pressure to calculate distance from sea level. Why would pressure change at a constant altitude on a flat Earth as opposed to a round Earth?

You're assuming the air is not being pushed by the Earth. Neglecting wind, air is stationary with respect to the Earth.

Terminal free fall is just terminology; semantics. Acceleration is indistinguishable from gravity. I would like you to demonstrate that air is not going fast enough to not push hair around when you jump.
When you jump and are in free fall you feel no acceleration. From "your" point of view the Earth is accelerating up to you.

based on an accelleration of 32 feet per second per second, with the speed of light being approx. 186,282.397 miles per second (983,571,056.16 fps) the speed of light would be reached in approx. 356 days.
983,571,056.16 / 32 = 30,736,595.505
convert to minutes:
30,736,595.505 / 60 = 512,276.59175
convert to hours:
512,276.59175 / 60 = 8,537.9431958333333333333333333333
convert to days:
8,537.9431958333333333333333333333 / 24 = 355.74763315972222222222222222222
So if we are accellerating at 32 fps/s then we have long exceeded the universal speed limit.
