Title: Sun Has Elyptical Orbit
Post by: Grimus on November 15, 2022, 02:19:15 AM
Not sure if others have come to this conclusion. The "south pole star"  sigma octantis is viable from australia, south america, south africa..  this.means those must be facing the same(ish) directions..  this can only happen on flat earth if the flat earth map, although mapped circular,  was actually elliptical shaped..  and the sun followed an elyptical path..  also, the missing miles from cooks Antarctic expedition (which the voyage path shows signs of unexpected alterations..  such as going north while claiming to be looking south)..  those missing miles are probably "east" of australia going towards south america...   bring the south of australia, africa, and south america to somewhat of a point, and add more miles east of australia..  shape it into a bit of an elyptical shape, and I think you will see the true shape of the flat earth..    comments and pointers and conflicts are welcome to this point of view.

Cook wasn't going on an Antarctic expedition.
Instead he was trying to explore the oceans in the south to find land which people believed should balance all the land in the north.
The voyages to the north were to try and find this. This is also why they looped around.

But the big issue for the star is it shows there is a south pole, due south of everyone.

This, combined with a north pole, which is due north of everyone, and due north and due south being 180 degrees apart makes a FE impossible.
Such a FE would require straight 2 lines to intersect twice after some finite distance.

You can post it on imgbb or postimages, and then just link to it here like this:

You have a collection of the same memes that you pull out regardless of how often people have debated them.

Good to know.

By all means link and cite where it’s been debunked.

Just more intellectually dishonesty and false authority by you.

You think that simply 'debating' something enough times proves you correct?  And by debating you mean doing what you just did here, simply stating yourself to be right.

Getting an actual argument out of you is like pulling teeth. So much easier to just pretend you already won the argument.

The names change, the arguments stay the same.

You mean a collection of simple images demonstrating a massive flaw with the FE which can be brought out regardless of how many times FEers have fled from their inability to explain it?

The simple fact is the south pole is a massive problem for the north pole centred FE model.
You cannot explain how the south celestial pole works on a FE.

What map do you use?
