Hi, I'm new here so excuse me if this has been covered.
If Earth is flat, why does the north star appear recede toward the horizon as an observer goes south toward the equator to the point where it then drops below the horizon at about 1 degree south?

Refracted perspective.

Refracted perspective.
That's quite a stretch.

Refracted perspective.
Traveling south of the equator of course lets you see the other celestial axis for star rotation in the Southwen Hemisphere, 180 degrees from Polaris. The presence of which FE has no answer for.

My point exactly.

The answer takes:
1. South polar centered flat earth AKA PHEW FE.
2. On northern hemiplane, the (extremely high) north star and surrounding stars are reflected by the 1st dome to the 2nd dome to the inhabitants eyes. The actual position is at the celestial south pole.

Where are these supposed "domes," How are they configured, how do you know they exist, and how would they answer my question or explain more and more of the night sky sliding below the horizon as one moves south? And I have no idea what or who a Phew is, sorry.

You don’t know phew?? Phew has replaced Pi and many other geometrical mathematical concepts. It really is the future standard, Danang will fill you in.

Phew can cook a 12" frozen pizza in less than 6 minutes.
Also works well cleaning rain gutters.

Sarcasm? No idea.
But by reality, it's true 8)

Phew is also good for curing impotency symptoms due to misbelieving in pi. :o

That doesn't help your case at all. It just makes it even worse.
Now instead of it being due north for everyone it should be all over the place.
2. On northern hemiplane, the (extremely high) north star and surrounding stars are reflected by the 1st dome to the 2nd dome to the inhabitants eyes. The actual position is at the celestial south pole.
There is no basis for any dome.
If you think a dome can explain it, go and draw a diagram showing the light path and angles, and provide the math showing what angle you would expect for various locations.
Your dome also doesn't address why they don't see multiples.

With respect to previous research and evidences, I conclude that north star and surrounding stars as reflections seen by northern hemiplane people is a MUST, unavoidable model.
If the north is not a pole, but a rim, and people -with different longitudes and different 'norths'- see north star as a stand still star, the paths look CCW, so.. they must be reflections, not real.
However, I still do my research for this model to figure out the details.
It's like the case of Universal Acceleration (UA). This concept was not so perfect in the beginning, especially in responding sharp critiques such as different weights in different places. But in the long run after figuring out new findings, e.g. the breathing earth, UA became very firm as a concept, even the future paradigm in physics.

That all shows Earth is round and the north pole is very far
I conclude that north star and surrounding stars as reflections seen by northern hemiplane people is a MUST
Yet you are completely unable to justify that claim at all.
If the north is not a pole, but a rim
Well there is your massive issue. It is a pole, not a rim.
It's like the case of Universal Acceleration (UA).
Yes, suggested to try and solve a problem, without actually thinking about it and realising all the problems it causes, just like the rest of the FE models.
