Title: Hurricane Florence
Post by: Space Cowgirl on September 11, 2018, 04:13:29 PM
Are any of you in the path? I've got a few friends and relatives up there, some of them are evacuating.

BE SAFE!

I think I am directly in the path.  Last I heard it will hit Friday morning.  I haven't decided if I will stay or go yet.

Unless you are inland a ways, I say bail! Or shoot at the storm to try and push it away. But even that might not work this time. It looks like a big 'un.

I am near Raliegh, NC.  Weather.com is calling for it to be down to 45 mph when it hits us.  I hope this is true.

The thinner trees behind my home are dancing in the wind.  Rain is only showers at the moment, but my work wants for me to go in tonight and stay until it is over.  Fuck my house and my family, at least they will be running production.

No shit.  I did not know until yesterday that they expect me to leave my family and.hang out there for 24 hours or.more at my shitty work that will probably lose power anyway and not be able to do shit. But they don't give a shit, even though replacements will not be able to cross the flooded river.  Duck them.  .

Your family needs you, unless your job is like firefighter or paramedic or in an ER or for the power company, I can't see why company would need you to work through a fucking hurricane. Shit, even the power company lets their groundmen and linemen stay home until the storm passes.

My wife is a nurse at a nursing home, and she has the option to call out.

My work says they need an engineer there, just in case they have electrical problems, as if I can make the electricity magically come on,.

Ah, the essential worker.  I used to work on a contract where I was considered an essential worker.  Had to drive in to work with 2 feet of snow on the ground.

I recommend you to take compulsory leave from work and go beside your wife, if you have not child. If you have chils, then take your wife together compulsory leave and you two go to your children. I think you have not childs so strongly recommend you go beside of your family. Because everytime everything may happens and it is important you go everywhere together, that the destiny wherever lets you go.

Hurricanes are a breaking point of the life, and it is important to stay together with your loved ones.

Do you know why all loved ones come when you get a marry, a birth of a funeral of any your familiar?

Because these are the breaking points of the life.

"Whoever  stays together with you, he is your lovely one. The opposite is also true.

Whoever stays with you, "becomes" to your lovely one; in any of a breaking point of the life."

I mean, you can become someone's lovely that you never seen her before, after you lived a breaking point of the life together. In other say, when people feel themselves alone in a breaking point of the life, they start to query of their lovely ones. Because she needed, and you were not there.

You example not like this, I don't talk about you. I talk about general life.

Jrowa, your employer is a s.o.w.
You should tell him, then throw him out into the hurricane, then cut the powerlines yourself!

But seriously, how can a boss be so money possessed that he lets his people work during a hurricane...

A potential 40" of rain is reason to call off.

But.

You also sound like you're coming down with something. It would be very irresponsible to go to your job, get stuck there due to the storm, and get everyone else sick because you were too proud to take a sick day. ;)

That's kind of what I'm thinking. It sounds like jroa has a job that's kind of important in a disaster. But if his employer is going to impose on him like this then they really need to make sure his family is safe.

This seems logical and a fair trade.

My grandfather did that with my grandma and I in Florida when he was still in the military. I was just a kid, but I had fun, though I didn't realize the seriousness of the situation at that age obviously.

Wherever you decide to stay there, but with your family. Either bring them with you to your work office, or stay with them in home. Loneliness belongs only to God. Union makes stregth. You can find a new job you can not find a new family. At least, if you are not a son of orospu, so you can not find a new family. Wait, what?

Also, the next house you buy, check for bullet holes and reject if positive.

It is interesting that, while there is a hurricane a ganster groups think to attack anybody. Because people in breaking point of the life feels themselves close to each other. This is a logical mistake. Either the hurricane in your city is not important, or you are missunderstanding the events. In a serious huricane, people try to help themselves, not try to kill eachother. There is a logical mistake here. I'm not saying you are a liar but there is something illogical here.

human mood works similar under similar conditions. A gangster and a nurse act similar when they in same "breaking point of the life". I know this is interesting but I have strong argumentsabout it.  ::)
Title: Re: Hurricane Florence

A lifeguard saves someone while drowning person. A nurse, a police, an ordinary person does so.

even a murderer tries to save a drowning person in case of a disaster. Because he knows if he saves him, so the victim may help himself when he need. Shortly, a murderer helps others in case of disaster to increase his own living possiblity.

So that, in disasters everybody even gangsters help others.

Maybe there is so so so rarely exceptions, but this does not affect the general rule. It maybe happened with a very very low possiblity, but in my opinion son of orospu is saying lie about gangsters. This is my though depends on human psicology may be wrong with a very low possiblity.

I don't now why son of orospu say this but either he is trying to attract attention himself or he has been mentally depressed because of huricane.

Not necessarily. Sometimes these disasters bring out the best in people. Japan's handling of that tsunami a few years back was a good example.

The gangsters might help people during the worst of the storm, but that part is over. The electricity is out, I imagine emergency services are spotty.

I can make an educated guess about his conditions. My sister and her family live up there, they returned to their home yesterday. I have friends who live up there (who I have talked to), they don't have electricity and are worried about flooding.
Title: Re: Hurricane Florence

I am watching on TV about electricity in there. So disaster continues. Electricity and flooding prove the disaster continues. These conditions affect the mood of gangsters; it turns them into ordinary people.

I mean, none of the people, even gangsters can't think to fire someone; while they are own fighthing against floods, storms and out of electricity problem. The exceptional idiots may be exist. But I don't think so they are. Because they have stayed alive against there was a gangbuster around. This proves they are smart ones, at least not idiots.

Sorry, if you can't get enough of alligators, giant unkillable bugs, regular hurricanes, and general insanity then you'd love Florida!  :D

I'm not saying you are a liar but there is something illogical here.
Sure, there is probably something illogical but It's USA who says it's has to be logical?
They elected Donald Duck Trump (who Tweets and Twitters his announcements) as President didn't they.

So, I'd believe jroa.

So cute, you have found something for get adress me. Congratilations loserinoz.

On the other hand; Trump's election was not because if their being illogical; but they had no chance.

Hillary was transferring black money of NASA to terrorist organizations and she had created the ISIS who were cuting human head. Literally they had no alternative. People did not know how Trump will be evil but they knew how Hillary evil. In other say, Trumps was best of evils.

My friends who live up there just got their power back on yesterday, but their internet is still down. I hope jroa got his power back, and is just out of data.

How did your family fare, SCG?  I hope they are well.  I only lost power for a couple of days.

My sister and her family went back home the Sunday after the hurricane, and they hadn't even lost power. Then they thought they were going to have to evacuate because the river is flooding, but I don't think they're worried about that anymore. I haven't talked to them in a couple days, but I guess the rivers have crested by now.
