satanists. i don't care how they try and put it devil worship is wrong.
Most modern satanists don't believe in, much less worship, the devil. Literally the first point in the link.

Not sure this really fits in S&C though.

I don't see how talking about a group literally not worshipping anything, let alone the devil, is promoting devil worship.

They don't believe in a devil, they don't worship anything. Therefore they cannot possibly worship the devil. What are you complaining about?
It's a bunch of people who use a shock factor aesthetic while having generally decent morals. You only seem to be complaining about the name.

Man you are on us .
Only the flat Earthers can stop us !
We are about to get on mars thanks to our puppet Elon Musk.
The flat Earthers are trying to stop space exploration.
But once we are on mars , we will open a portal .

And then it will be absolute DOOM !!!

Agreed.
Devil worship IS wrong.
There are other worships that are also wrong.
For example, prayer for child instead of medicine and vaccines.
Asking from God to save someone, instead of stopping his bleeding, or giving him CPR, or operating his tumor.
Waiting for Kingdom of Heaven to come, instead of developing space ships and going there to expand living space and harvesting resources in abundance.
Worshiping war and giving 600 billion dollars to military, and only 19 billion to NASA.
Luckily, China, India, Japan and others also develop Space programs.

OK, "B.o.B wants to prove the Earth is flat once and for all". If he refuses to understand all the evidence that's out there, of course he's free to:
Quote
"launch multiple satellites into space" in order to observe, and try to disprove, what centuries of science and technology have already confirmed. All he needs is a small investment of $200,000 dollars (and launch approval, of course).
But I fail to see any connection with Satanism and the shape of the earth, why would anyone even dream of connecting the two?

Are CNN Promoting or reportingReporting is what CNN does.

Quote from: andrewchikoski
but laughing at one for exploring a thought which happened to be a flat earth flat earth is a joke
Some of these attempts are quite ludicrous,
when you look at GIZMODO, Flat Earth Rocketeer Once Again Fails To Launch Himself Into The Sky At 500 MPH (https://www.gizmodo.com.au/2018/02/flat-earth-rocketeer-once-again-fails-to-launch-himself-into-the-sky-at-500-mph/) and B.o.B.'s own:
(https://www.dropbox.com/s/jks5t7bwjdmq8ce/The%20cities%20in%20the%20background%20are%20approx.%2016miles%20apart...%20where%20is%20the%20curve%28Q%29%20please%20explain%20this.jpg?dl=1)
B.o.B asks, "The cities in the background are approx. 16miles apart... where is the curve? please explain this."
10:05 AM - Jan 25, 2016
Why would he even expect to see "the curve"?
Even if those cities were joined by a line that followed the curve of the earth perfectly,
that line would deviate from a perfect,y straight line by less than 43 feet - that's about 1 part in 2000, far less than 1 pixel in that photo!
So, B.o.B asks, "Where is the curve? please explain this." The explanation is trivial.

My point is that people like our intrepid "Flat Earth Rocketeer" and  B.o.B need to learn a tremendous lot more about the Globe before they try to debunk it.

Quote from: andrewchikoski
to CNN but devil worship is ok i do see how this is relevant
It might be relevant to CNN's standards of reporting, but they never made any association between Devil worship and the flat earth anyway.

In any case, CNN are no authority on the shape of the earth, so there is not the slightest relevance here to the flat ~ Globe question!

Model that denies Kingdom of Heaven (Universe) is shrine of devil.

God is giving us new knowledge when He finds that we are ready for it.
Right now God is teaching us how to achieve Space travel.
Devil doesn't want us to develop spaceships and reach Kingdom of Heaven.
Devil wants us all to stay here within his grasp.

Quote: "Modern-day public image of Satanism and moral panics
As a moral panic in the 1980s and the 1990s, there were multiple allegations of sexual abuse and/or sacrifice of children or non-consenting adults in the context of Satanic rituals in what has come to be known as the Satanic Panic.

Allegations included the existence of large networks of organized Satanists involved in illegal activities such as murder, child pornography and prostitution. In the United States, the Kern County child abuse cases, McMartin preschool trial and the West Memphis cases were widely reported. One case took place in Jordan, Minnesota, in which children made allegations of the manufacture of child pornography, ritualistic animal sacrifice, coprophagia, urophagia and infanticide, at which point the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) was alerted. Twenty-four adults were arrested and charged with acts of sexual abuse, child pornography and other crimes claimed to be related to Satanic ritual abuse; three went to trial, two were acquitted and one convicted. Supreme Court Justice Scalia noted in a discussion of the case that "there is no doubt that some sexual abuse took place in Jordan; but there is no reason to believe it was as widespread as charged", and cited the repeated, coercive techniques used by the investigators as damaging to the investigation.

These iconic cases were launched after children were repeatedly and coercively interrogated by social workers, resulting in false allegations of child sexual abuse. No evidence was ever found to support any of the allegations of Satanism or ritual abuse, but the panic resulted in numerous wrongful prosecutions.

John Allee, the creator of the LaVeyan website called First Church of Satan, equates some of the "violent fringe" of Satanism with "Devil worshipers" and "reverse Christians". He believes they possibly suffer from a form of psychosis. Between 1992 and 1996, some militant neo-pagans who were participants in the Norwegian black metal scene, such as Varg Vikernes, committed over fifty arsons of Christian churches in and around Oslo as a retaliatory action against Christianity in Norway, but such church-burnings were widely attributed to Satanists.

Some studies of crimes have also looked at the theological perspective of those who commit religious or ritualized crime. Criminals who explain their crimes by claiming to be Satanists have been said by sociologists to be "pseudo-Satanists", and attempts to link Satanism to crime have been seen by theistic Satanists as scaremongering."
