Title: travels
Post by: worldtraveler on November 15, 2005, 02:40:34 PM
Hi everyone.

I found this place interesting, and some interesting thoughts came to mind when i read some of the stuff here.

You say that the world is flat and surrounded by a wall of ice, correct?

I do have to say that i traveled around the world (and never fell asleep on the plane) and that i have never encountered this wall of ice. I started in europe, went through to russia, further into asia, through to america and back to europe again. How can this happen in a flat world surrounded by a wall of ice?

Remember i kept my compass with me, and did notice that i traveled in the same direction, so you can't use the argument that i traveled in a circle around the flat earth.

Simple logic would dictate here that the world would have to be round for me to succeed in this journey.

I would like to hear your thoughts on this, and also like to hear some solid proof and evidence to why this sort of journey would be possible on a flat world.

Simple act of illusion. You may have traveled in an airplane and say you have never fallen asleep.  That may be so. How are you sure that there were windows on the airplane. It may be that they were some type of monitor or tv screen that broadcast images of an artificial world.  My question to you is why are the windows so small?  Why not make them bigger? the anser to that has to do with resolution I believe.

There are no monitors or other crazy stuff in place.  99% of plane windows are transparent.

So let me get this straight, the government, society, science, mathematics, philosophy, logic and sensibility have all conspired together to hide that the world is flat, and are trying to make everyone believe that the world is round. They even go so far as to install small screens into the windows of airplanes, alter the tides of the planet so it would appear as if the world is round (the tides would work a whole lot differenty if the world was flat, as would the weather). And they did all this, why?

According to the flat earth model I'm aware of, your journey would have actually gone round in an anticlockwise circle, like this:

Starting at the purple square, finishing at the green blob. The North pole is really the centre of the world. The 'South' is the edge. I don't really believe this ;D

If this model is true, then how do you explain the seasons, and even more interesting, how do you explain that during winter time there is no sunrise on the northpole circle. If the northpole is actually the center of the earth and the earth really looks like the model, then it should get as much sunshine as the rest of the world during summer and winter.

They generally believe that the sun is like a 'spotlight' that is about 32 miles in diameter. If you have any visual evidence that this is not the case they will respond: "it's an optical illusion".
