Just wondering :)
Everyone.
Everyone.
Something tells me self-reported IQs are going to be very questionable here.
Intikams's IQ is 180 (He posts 160 but that's just because he's humble!)Well, that's hell of a logic argumentation :D
I feel like I am almost as smart so I voted >120. ;D

Basic stuff like, if you see a dude in camo with a bright orange vest, what do you do?
(the high I.Q. answer is . . . get the fuck out of there!)

You see a very attractive cow Moose. It seem like she's interested in you. But you see a big tough bull Moose approaching with obvious intentions of claiming the cow for himself. What's the high I.Q. response to that?
Is a person who takes 10 minutes to solve a conundrum any more intelligent than a person who takes 1 minute?
The debate should be what constitutes intelligence?
An IQ is just an intelligence quotient. It's a mixture of all mental segments of a test.
This doesn't set anyone out as being more intelligent than others, it more than likely sets out that some people have a different set pattern to how they work through life and how quick they are, mentally, to solve conundrums.
Is a person who takes 10 minutes to solve a conundrum any more intelligent than a person who takes 1 minute?
Fast leaner or fast solver. Slow learner or slow solver.
Fast runner or slow runner?
What about a person who scores 140 against a person who scores 80 and yet the person who scores 80 actually answered all the questions on one particular set, accurately against the 140 person who struggled?
IQ tests are pressure tests and have no real bearing on the ability of a person to function properly in life any less than another.

Intelligence is almost impossible to quantify. I know people who didn't do well in school but they can listen to an engine for a minute and know what's wrong with it. Or tame a horse or manage cattle. Or make a garden grow. Conversely I know others who got straight As but they wouldn't have a clue how to change their oil or even pound a nail properly. Often when someone is a genius in one area, he is somewhat weak in other areas. I suppose that's the trade-off. You can be well rounded, fairly good in all areas but not exceptional. If you are exceptionally strong in some area, you're probably exceptionally weak in another area.
If you are exceptionally strong in some area, you're probably exceptionally weak in another area. That might be true sometimes, but sure not always.

Curious that some are afraid, or dismissive, of I.Q. tests
and some understand what they actually measure.

I just think intelligence is hard to define and I don't think an IQ test is broad enough to really qualify as a measure of intelligence.I agree. But since it is (together with school-grades) the easiest and most common way of measuring intelligence, it does make sense to talk about IQ (and school grades). On the other hand, one should be aware that IQ is not absolute and IQ =/= intelligence.

You spend 100% of what the item costs after reducing the price but only 90% of what you would have spent if you bought the item when it was not on sale. So if you planned to go to the shop to buy that particular item for 100$ an you have already gotten the money, but once in the store you see the 10% discount you have actually saved 10%, no?You spend 100%.Actually when you buy something that is 10% off you do not save 10%, you spend 90%. :PSomething costs $100
