Title: Questions
Post by: Airaux on November 23, 2015, 01:43:31 PM
Hi - I'm Andrew.  Throughout last night, I watched Mark Sargent's "Hiding God" video.  It was compelling and I'm beset with questions about the facts and implications.  May someone can inform me of certain things.
Eg - if there is a dome covering a flat Earth, it seems to me the inescapable implication is that there's a God or superior being that built it.  I've read the Genesis account and wonder how compatible it is.
  Would anyone like to comment?

If there was a dome, proof of it would need to be shown

this is also not really a question

I'm referring to Mark Sargent's model.

I very much like mark sargent. His point should be long pondered.
Genesis does speak of the creation. First the creation of heaven and earth, then the lights, (Greater and lesser) then the firmament to separate the waters from the waters. (The waters under the firmament from the waters above the firmament.) HE made the stars also.
Later in the scriptures (Isaiah) he speaks of the "Circle" of the earth  and the vault (Vaulted ceiling) spread out like a carpet.
I don't believe we are given enough detail about the creation to get a picture perfect view.
Keep looking into it! Good luck with your studies and questions.
