A few weeks ago, Vauxhall (a frequent contributor to this forum), claimed to have information about "flat earth astronauts" that traveled above the earth and acquired information that supports flat earth theory. Vauxhall promised to provide additional information, but I haven't seen any. This is a very significant claim, and I think it deserves its own thread. Here are some questions to get started:
1) When and where did the astronauts launch?
2) Who paid for the mission?
3) What kinds of data and/or photos were acquired?
4) What were the astronauts' names and nationalities?
5) What kind of rockets/aircraft were used?
-
Unfortunately, there's a lot of "promises" made on this site by flat earthers when asked to produce viable evidence for their claims and/or beliefs, but seldom—if ever—are those promises substantiated with hard evidence.
Most questions asked by round earthers are responded to with what amounts to "non-answers" intended to deflect the thrust of the original question. As commented on in another forum here, this often amounts to nothing more than shifting the response into a philosophical discussion about the question itself—rather than supplying a simple answer. It's a clever distraction, but one which the flat earthers never tire of, or seem embarrassed by in resorting to this sort of obfuscation.
Even a question that demands a simple 'yes' or 'no' answer usually results in a tsunami of non-relevant ifs, buts, and maybes.
I wish you luck with your questions, but I'd be guessing you'll have a long grey beard before they're answered with any sort of adequacy.

The flat earth astronauts are busy right now, doing astronaut things.
-
Can we please refer to them as flastronauts?
-
Things the flatstronauts are busy doing right now:
- eating protein pills
- putting their helmets on
- turtle research
-
They may also be lighting fireworks and drinking beers.
-
I am drinking beer and will soon be lighting fireworks. I am very irresponsible.
-
Motherfucking Bootleg Fireworks [Original Subtitled Version] (http://#ws)
This is my favorite 4th of July video and it shows the important work our Flat Astronauts do every year.
-
So I guess we will continue with the idle chit-chat on this thread until Vauxhall posts the previously-promised evidence of the flastronauts' mission. One more thing I'm curious about is how he found out about the mission. Surely the world-wide RE conspiracy would have done everything in their power to prevent people from hearing about it. So how did Vauxhall learn of it?
-
What's a flastronaut?
Also, you should learn to Vauxy.
-
I Vauxy at least once every day. It keeps me young.

I thought there was a post that they had gotten too close to the Ice Ring, gone over it and were lost in outer space. Maybe they might be pseudonauts ?

There is no outer space,,,, ....Maybe you might be a brown pusher...

Is "Vauxy" a synonym for "lie"?

It's great to finally see a moderator on this forum put a bit of pride in his work and contribute to topics with well-rounded, meaningful and insightful posts. I truly hope you can inspire a change in the others.
Keep up the fantastic work, jroa.

No, "Vauxy" a synonym for "masturbate".

Uhh, when did I ever claim that I knew flastronauts? This is a classic example of misunderstandings going way too far.
My entire post about Flat Earth Photography was a metaphor.

You specifically claimed that you knew of a flat earth astronaut mission. I requested further information. You said you were on vacation at the time (South Carolina?) and that you would look for that information and provide it later.
-
I just found it:
I will post more information on the FE astronauts and the photograph in the coming days. I am currently on vacation now in SC, but I am keeping up with the questions and concerns levied in this thread. Do not fret.

Yes, I do know what metaphors are. How is a statement like the following a metaphor? "I will post more information on the FE astronauts and the photograph in the coming days."
Maybe you mean that you were being facetious, but that really doesn't make sense here either. It sounds to me like you got caught making a claim that you can't support. But please do explain your metaphor if you insist that's what your statement is.

Interesting that although Vauxhall is able to post meaningless one-liners on this thread, he's unwilling or unable (?) to answer FlatAllTheWay's perfectly reasonable questions:
1) When and where did the astronauts launch?
2) Who paid for the mission?
3) What kinds of data and/or photos were acquired?
4) What were the astronauts' names and nationalities?
5) What kind of rockets/aircraft were used?
—So, Vauxhall, how about a few answers?

It means "a lie that you can wriggle out of easily when someone calls you on it", right?

The launches were performed on Russian soil, I know that much. Naturally, the astronaunts were of Russian descent as well. The Russians were always way ahead of other nations in terms of rocket science until they got assimilated into the global government that we have today.
This should be common knowledge.
-

Could you tell us exactly how you "know" this? I've not been able to find any documentation confirming that flat earth astronautics were ever carried out in the USSR or Russia.
The Russians were always way ahead of other nations in terms of rocket science until they got assimilated into the global government that we have today.
Not so. An American, Robert H. Goddard, achieved the first successful rocket flight with a liquid-propellant rocket in 1926. Then during WWII, the Germans used their V-2 rocket against London. The Russians were the last to the game.
-
The Russians launched the first man made "satelitte" in your indoctrined science. Even the conspiracy admits that Russia did it first. If anyone had the power to really launch a satelitte they could easily launch some people along with it.
Of course, none of the people were meant to survive to begin with. The Russians knew the trip would kill anyone that took part. This helped them cover it up easier with no real witnesses.
-
Do Russia and all the other so called space rocket launching bases, have the massive hangar like building like Kennedy space centre, etc. I've never seen where they build their rockets, they simply just appear in some barren field with a few floodlights, etc.
If anyone has come across this set up, I'd be interested to see it if you don't mind.
-
I've never seen where they build their rockets,
That's kinda weird isn't it? I thought the Russians would be inviting you over to look round their missile fabrication all the time. They are usually so open with their military technology...you are right, this is very suspicious... ::)

Well show me some pictures of their huge set up like America does. I mean, surely they must have a similar type set up with them being in the space game.
China, Japan and all the rest of the countries that have jumped in the space bandwagon. What about india.
Surely it's not only America that needs the massive set up.
Huge so called space rockets on a launch pad that has no roads leading up to it and rigged up on some barren piece of land. This is what I see of Russia's attempts to send so called clowns to space.
If any rational person cannot see the absolute, utter, ridiculous piss take out of the public with this charade, then it's no wonder they believe absolutely anything - and I mean, anything that is shown or told to them.
Watch it all and look how blatantly they are laughing at us.

Not easy to find these big set up's is it. A field will do for most of these space launches. Thunderbirds are go.

So, just to be clear, the US has a vertical Vehicle Assembly Building (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_Assembly_Building#mediaviewer/File:Aerial_View_of_Launch_Complex_39.jpg) near to the launch pad which is often shown on TV and that's obviously part of a cooperative global conspiracy. However, Russia built their various Assembly and Testing Facilities (http://russiapedia.rt.com/galleries/road-trip-day-12/6/#5) horizontal then erect the rockets after they're brought to the pad flat and that not being shown on Australian TV very much is just more proof of the exact same cooperative global conspiracy. Ditto China's VAB (http://kosmonautika.cz/images/tiangong/krampe.jpg) is similar to the US one but presumably it's similarity is also evidence of how the whole thing is fake, right?
The USSR really used to know how (http://defensetech.org/2012/01/06/inside-an-abandoned-soviet-rocket-motor-factory/) to build a fuckton of launch vehicles, interestingly the mass production approach was one of the reasons they surged so far ahead for much of the space race but also why they could never have really challenged the US to return a man from the moon. Strapping more and more engines together only goes so far.

So if I understand you correctly, the Russians used to believe the earth was flat and they launched astronauts as part of their effort to study the flat earth. But at some point Russia either decided to join, or were coerced into joining, a secret global government which, among other things, wants to cover up the true shape of the earth. Why would Russia join this conspiracy? Are you just speculating about this, or do you have evidence for this claim?

And despite a few of us asking for Vauxhall to post the answers to these questions, he's obviously unable to. And this sort of thing—grand promises made on the spur of the moment by flat earthers—is more than typical of people who have no evidence to support their claims. It's only when round earthers ask repeatedly and get no response that their questions prove the lies.
Over to you Vauxhall—if you're game that is LOL.

I cannot for the life of me understand the seriousness you are taking the "debates" with the obvious trolls and lunatics. It makes me wonder what kind of dysfunction is rolling around inside your head.
To me, it is akin to the following:
ausGeoff: Can you explain your theories on the elemental make up of the flat earth core?
"Yep! It's made of jelly beans!"
ausGeoff: Once again you make bold assertions of "fact" with no supporting, peer reviewed sources to back up your contentions! Please provide evidence for your claims or be exposed for the intellectual fraud you are!

Everyone should just go there. There is actually moderation there and the admins actually support it.

It has been more active there in the upper fora lately. And there's lots of action in the lower boards. The "Thork is terrible" thread is also coming along nicely.

What I like is that the fe'rs there put up a better fight. They at least know how to make a diagram and try to present some math.
Here you just get claims and philosophical drivel.

Oh... wow!... lookie here folks. It would seem that we have available the free services of an apparently self-proclaimed internet psychologist. I love it—don't we all?—when people who've never met us offer these ludicrous assessments of our and other people's mental state, and intellectual capabilities.
I'm betting that Whiskey gets up every morning and glances lovingly at his bathroom mirror whilst thinking to himself: "Gee whiz, how can it be that I'm so incredibly smart and the rest of the human population are all mentally retarded. Man—I'm truly an intellectual giant!"
And at the same time, he has the temerity to describe flat earthers as "lunatics". I'm thinking your mirror is lying Whiskey. Sorry mate.

LOL. Don't worry Space Cowgirl... There are quite a few round earthers who're—literally—off the planet too. They're your classic fence-sitters, so I don't give 'em much time. Arrogant round earthers such as Whiskey are every bit as divisive as any lunatic flat earther—think sceptimatic for example.
-
I am not worried, I am happy! At least you can see what the FEers have to put up with sometimes. They end up getting discouraged and leaving forever usually. We can all be on the same side, regardless of our FE/RE position, we can be on the side of the forum and each other.

I'm in total agreement with what you say here Space Cowgirl. I also appreciate the fact that your comments make sense, and aren't simply character assassinations—like a few made by other flat earthers I could name. I also enjoy your touches of lightheartedness that you often project in your comments. It would actually do well for the forum if a few more of your unimaginative, pedantic flat earth peers took themselves a little bit less seriously.
And yes; I also agree that mature, meaningful debate from both "sides" in these sorts of forums can make or break the forum. I'm fed up with people such as sceptimatic and Charles Bloomington and Vauxhall repeatedly posting crude personal insults about round earthers, and/or constantly derailing threads with their puerile, off-topic comments. I actually enjoy (here—when it occurs) the thrust and parry of a good debate, and fortunately the majority of sane posters from both "sides" keep that debate largely on track.
I'm also concerned (and a little embarrassed) by the number of round earthers who make the same mistakes—demeaning flat earthers' intelligence and repeatedly posting childish put downs—rather than responding with credible and/or viable evidence as a direct rebuttal of a flat earther's particular claim. It's not a good enough argument for a flat earther to say to a round earther "you're a brain-damaged retard; the Apollo Missions never occurred" or, conversely, for a round earther to do the same sort of thing.
A couple of months back, I posted my proposal for a flat earth model (the Moebius band enclosed with a toroidal atmospheric sleeve) and was surprised at how little comment it drew. I was attempting to give a round earther's notion of how a flat earth could possibly be constructed in the universe, and still explain a feasible astrophysical model based to a large degree on the current flat earth planar model. I can only assume that too many flat earthers wrote it off, as they (falsely) assumed I was simply taking the piss. Which I wasn't.
Back on topic. I'm still awaiting a response from any flat earther answering a few questions about their allegations for the existence of several "flat earth astronauts" such as their names, nationalities, mission designations, dates and locations of launches etc. I also asked for any links to photographic images these guys would surely have captured, and suggested that these images would demolish the round earth model in one fell swoop—and prove the veracity of the flat earth model.
Thus far, none of this supporting information has been forthcoming. Why is this? Do you believe that there have been "flat earth astronauts" in space at some time Space Cowgirl?
-
No, I do not think there have ever been any flat earth astronauts.
Also, I wonder if any of the more serious flat earthers ever saw your Moebius band theory. Don't let yourself be discouraged by that sort of thing. The FE who used to post regularly and in a more serious manner have either disappeared entirely, or they don't come around much anymore and miss lots of good things.
