Title: 5 questions
Post by: Thomashus on December 10, 2013, 12:25:32 AM
I'm doing project about "flat-earthers" and I have a few questions.

1: If the earth is flat how tall is it?
2: Why haven't anyone fallen off the "edge"?
3: What if the water fell of the edge? And what if you drilled a hole in the bottom of the earth. Would all the water disappear?
4: Why are there summers and winters? And what about the moon cycle?
5: How can you explain that a ship disappears under the horizon when it sails away from land?

You could at least read the FAQ and wiki before posting questions that have probably the asst a hundred times before.

1: If the earth is flat how tall is it?

Nobody knows. Efforts to find out have resulted in horrible painful death.

2: Why haven't anyone fallen off the "edge"?

because "maps" keep you away.

3: What if the water fell of the edge? And what if you drilled a hole in the bottom of the earth. Would all the water disappear?

You cant drill a hole so the question is pointless.

4: Why are there summers and winters? And what about the moon cycle?

Because the sun and the moon move around. The wobble causes seasons.

5: How can you explain that a ship disappears under the horizon when it sails away from land?

There are no ships with sails. The only ships with sails are kept in a port to stop anyone seeing the lie.
