I honnestly don't know if the top video is real. But the picture below is something familiar. And it looks flat.

The OP has the issue that his source is not something we have all observed. How do we know if the balloon guys are being honnest with us?

You know, I'm sure there's people that have done some sort of high altitude jump from a balloon like that. I read something about it years ago. Look it up. Perhaps there's some training you can go through and try this for yourself.

Ok so I'm done with this forum, you can't face the truth
You always dodge the questions and you are insincere
I understand the fact you question some scientifical facts, and I really salute you for the initiative, but you just are unable to answer simple questions
this proves me that you don't want to truly debate the question and you are narrow-minded to your own theorys

I'm not sure what point you are trying to make. You always say "the earth is flat cause when i look over my window it seems to be flat"
it's like saying "I turn on my tv, i see stupid people, so everyone outside is stupid".
but chill guys I know that you are always right and i'm be wrong because i'm dumbed down by mass medias ! :)
Best regards

The curvature seems to fluctuate in degree as the horizon moves toward (and away) from the center of the wide angle lens. This is nearly always the case in these high altitude photos. The use of the wide angle lens makes it useless to find actual curvature (and I suspect there is some natural curvature to be seen from high altitudes).

3 posts and he's done with this forum as we 'always' dodge the questions. His vast experience is testament to this It isn't any wonder he decided the earth was round when he spends so little time challenging other people's points of view before giving up. I think this roundling is lost to us. :(

Thork, we all know you're not really upset about this.   ;) There's plenty of us for you to verbally thrash.

I need to find out if I'm dying first. I'm too racked with worry to start verbally thrashing people on the internet. I was hoping this open-minded rounder earther might take my mind of my imminent demise as I converted him to flatness, but alas it wasn't to be. He's cruelly shunned my advances. I shall never be complete and he shall never know the true shape of the earth. There were no winners here today. :(

Honnestly, guys, you are all despicable for not addressing this poster's sincere and thought provoking questions.

Oh yes, thought provoking. "Does this video that clearly has curvature in it look curved to you? Be honest." I had to think really hard about that one. Although, one should not see curvature from that altitude on an oblate spheroid the size of earth.

All we can really say for sure is that something seems to have dumbed you down.

what you are seeing is the "lit" portion of our planar earth, which appears to be a disc, easily confused since a disc, and sphere are both curved.

thank you for sharing.

That picture could be doctored!

For a bunch who loves to reject picutre evidence, you sure do like to use them when it works for you. Not that this picture proves anything.

I can't tell if this comic irony or tragic irony.
