I honestly do not understand how anyone could believe the Earth is flat.
We have pictures and vidoes of it from space! The evidence is overwhelming. What can you possibly try to use to prove a 'flat earth'?

Actually, the FAQ does address those issues that you brought up. So while we appreciate your curiosity and straightforwardness, read the FAQ first and then come bring out ideas that haven't been addressed yet, or issues you may have found there. A good debate is always welcome!

You have shown that it may be possible to falsify images, not that all images from space are, in fact, falsified.

That's some conspiracy! Millions of images and films from thousands of different cameras over the course of five decades, from dozens of nations, as well as hundreds of private companies, and they all have been faked?
I still wonder how amateur astronomers over the whole world (and on a clear night, every single human that owns a set of binoculars) ar able to see the international space station pass above our heads!?

There are about a dozen true believers though.

FET writings existed long before the advent of pictures and videos. The written word is therefore the legacy and those writings have withstood the test of time. Contemporary writings are still being published with more to be published in the near future.

I just have to say that I love the fact that it says Flat Earth Believer. It's a good thing that you admit to the fact that it is something you believe in like religion, and you do not accept it as a scientificly valid theory supported by vast amounts of empirical evidence.
I also like that you verify this by not answering completely adequate and real problems with your belief with any rational or scientific empirical evidence, but short posts where you repeat baseless claims.

Earth Not a Globe proves that the earth is flat. Therefore pictures from space showing the earth as a globe are false.
Or, pictures from space showing the earth as a globe prove that ENaG was wrong. But you have no interest whatsoever in that possibility, do you?

Wrong. ENaG is not a scientific text. It is not supported by science, empirical data or any peer-reviewed publisher.
Also, Satellites prove that the earth is round. Therefor ENaG must be wrong. How else are we able to observe the ISS over our heads? All you need are a pair of binoculars (even though the effect is much better with a descent telescope). :)

The term trolling has become highly subjective and can now be used to describe intentionally provocative actions outside of an online context and in this case, Rowbotham's primary intent of provoking others into a desired emotional response is ENaG. And those "others" being the Scientific community at the time. And the desired emotional response has clearly been accomplished to some degree because here we are, aren't we?
The actual act of trolling has existed almost as long has there has been even remotely intelligent life, we just now have a cute name for it.

I really could not care less whether or not someone thinks the earth is flat or round, but I find it very challenging and interesting to try and get the lightbulb to go off in one of these genuine thick heads. I wonder, if this has ever been accomplished on this forum? Probably not.

Romer, so you actually think Rowbotham wrote his book to upset the established science or just to cause nuisance? Rowbotham lived in the times when men had honor and respect, they did things out of truth and passion, attributes that are almost absent in today's society.

Yes, I believe that Rowbotham knew the earth is a sphere and did the whole thing as an elaborate gag.
This is far more plausible than the world being flat. Since all evidence using the technologies that have advanced over you know, the last 130 years have pretty much made this whole idea a joke.
I wonder if Rowbotham would be more satisfied knowing there are people arguing about this, or people falling for it being true? my guess is the latter.

you said that NASA's motive is money, why in the world would people who have dedicated their lives to learn and discover the outerspace and percieve in the mysteries of the cosomos sellout their integrity, that is not a reasonable decision to make, they get payed millions as it is.
and even more-so how would they make money by falsifying claims of the earth actually being flat ?

The Earth is an infinite plain, that does not mean that earth is a cornfield and that everything must look like Kansas. Yes you have mountains and hills seating on flat ground. When we say flat earth we do not imply whats on the earth, but rather the outward shape of the earth.
Crazy would be a gross understatement.
