I haven't seen him in a long time. Did he finally get himself banned?

He was banned for almost certainly unjustified reasons. The ban is over, though, but he has apparently decided that this place is not worth his time.
It's a shame, because he offered the most effective arguments against FE and no FE was ever able to challenge those arguments successfully.

No he didn't. His arguements were borderline low-content posts. He either said something like, "No evidence? Noted and accepted" or "Thork is an admitted troll, you can't listen to anything he says." I wouldn't be surprised if either of those catch phrases are still on his clipboard.

That's what they want you to believe.

I believe ClockTower will return in the near future. I say this because of his commitment to RET and he would occasionally say how important it is to keep FET out of the mainstream. His sincerity to that quest seemed quite genuine.
-
He was a globularist to the core. I wouldn't be surprised if he was in on the conspiracy.
-
I think one day, we just convinced him. He had just asked enough questions, enough times and it finally sank in. He realised the earth was flat. There was nothing left for him to say. Maybe a little embarrassed at his own wilful ignorance he has chosen not to post any more. But I'm chalking that one up as a successful conversion to FE. :)

Maybe he just doesn't know he's unbanned.

Considering just how many times he logged in after he was unbanned, that's very unlikely.
He made an alt and stopped being a prick. That's a good thing.

I prefer him as a lurker. He isn't wrong quiet as often.

That's probably because I PM'd him.

He logs in like every other day. He just lurks now. Bitter because Thork and I bested him.

Congratulations on being epic trolls.
I'd write more about how a proper, just, and effective mod team would have you banned you and Thork, along with Clocktower, but I won't.

I disagree.

We agree to disagree.

If the mod team banned every devil's advocate, then the upper fora would be completely barren, apart from the occasional JD post.

Not to mention Clocktower was kind of (see: seriously) an arrogant douche.

If every arrogant douche was banned, there would be no Flat Earth Believers left.

That is what ended up getting him his ban. He was debating with a few mods and he was being a douche, insulting them, and low content posting.
*After a page of ski walking him through a peer reviewed, scientific article, and Clocktower refusing to do anything*
Listen, I provided you with a link to a scientific paper published in a peer-reviewed journal with pages of data that concludes the spores are not terrestrial. You are free to not agree with the findings. I will not continue to spoon-feed you all day in your petty game of semantics or (willful?) lack of reading comprehension. Your deliberate antics to derail discussion with repetitive and low-content posts has been addressed multiple times.
I had diligently followed your claims. I have read pages on irrelevant topics. I find that like a typical FEer you're unable to back up your claim.
Now please point to a page in a published journal that backs your claim that the particles are not possibly of terrestrial origin?
So they banned him for a weekend.
He never returned!

Ladies and Gentlemen, the FES douchebags.

Clocktower definitely had it coming to him. That was how he posted the entire time he was here. The mods just didn't care until they were having to deal with him.

He still lurks though. My guess is he made an alt, and is playing nice with it.

You mean the journal where the authors placed this
The red rain phenomenon of Kerala and its possible extraterrestrial origin
Clocktower was right - the report did not conclude the spore were terrestrial but "possible"
If thats what he got banned for I think he had the right to be pissy. I posted from the same authors but was pretty much ignored. If they supported the supposition - it was correct - when they did not support the supposition it was ignored.
Thats really hard to debate with and can make someone turn into an arrogant douche.

It was both perfectly flat and flaw-free as I remember ;).

Which Ski agreed with. Clocktower was banned because he continued to waste Ski's time with low content posts and attempting to play semantic games with him, instead of actually discussing the issue with him. Then he insulted him and continued it after Ski, a mod, told him to stop.

Not according to the actual guys who make the stuff.

Won't get involved with EG's argument
low content posts and attempting to play semantic games with him

Isn't that what this forum is about? I don't see FE'ers do much else than that.
-
He took this forum too seriously. I'd like to have him back with an improved attitude.

Float glass, made by floating molten glass on
liquid tin, is in theory extremely flat and parallel, but
as Sir Anthony Pilkington pointed out, even float
glass is not perfectly flat; it does follow the
curvature of the earth! In actual production, with
hundreds of tonnes of glass flowing over molten tin
every day, there are some other deviations from
optical flatness caused by both the manufacturing
process and the later fabrication techniques
I didn't take info from a brochure meant to sell product. I looked a little further.
If you want to go back to the flat glass be my guest - but you will need more than just a brochure.
He took this forum too seriously. I'd like to have him back with an improved attitude.
Some FE'ers take themselves too seriously - I'd like to have them back with an improved attitude as well.

No, the peer reviewed article where the (same) authors placed this:
The present study of red rain phenomenon of Kerala shows that the particles, which caused the red colouration of the red rain, are not possibly of terrestrial origin.

From the latest article dated Aug 29 2010 as opposed to the one you quoted, 29 Dec 2003, or the one that I quoted from on 2 Jan 2006
suggesting, though not proving, an extraterrestrial origin
Obviously the authors have slightly backtracked from their stance.
Berny
Of course other articles on the site all prove a round Earth.
